I agree, I do find it to be an obvious revenue producer, with the reduced limit being placed on a downhill section of the road. -

probably doesn't constitute a speed trap, however I have noticed there seems to be an increase in state patrol cars on Harmony Grove Church Rd. recently. Could have something to do with the increase of high school aged drivers on that stretch of asphalt. -
Interesting article I ran across on Yahoo the other day

LPPT, yes these numbers are interesting, now what would be the best way to remedy these numbers, in your opinion? -

I somewhat agree, but in regards to money, if memory serves correct most teachers suffered a loss of income in the form of furloughs, no COLA increases yet everyday items cost more and more, and suffered the ultimate paycut by being layed off. I'm not talking in the realm of teacher performance enhancing, but one of teachers seemingly making less now than did a few years ago. ETA I do agree that teachers are bogged down with mind numbing amounts of paperwork some just for political correctness sake. And the fact that the teachers do not have the freedom to teach without some new curriculum

JTH I agree wholeheartedly with removing the feds and keeping everything at a local level, however I just do not see that happening anytime soon. So the question remains what do we here at home do, is raising taxes the answer be it a splost or millage rate increase? Is there some fat that can be trimmed? This sounds a lot like the issue with our nations debt crisis, however again here on the local level we do not have the (luxury cough, cough) of opperating beyond what local budget allows.

First off I did not want to place this in the school forum as we are all invested in this situation. After a recent conversation with a teacher from a neighboring county, it seems to be a serious problem that is long past due for a solution. As in most metro counties teachers have suffered lay-offs, furloughs, no COLA raise in nearly three years, and now the rumor is a possible re-working of the pension plans for above mentioned neighboring county. That being said, what will be the incentive for teachers to remain in this field, when seemingly the longer they stay in this profession the le

Well that's a silly place to put that pinata. How are the children going to be able to hit that thing when it's hidden up in that tree like that.

Hopefully the investigation will lead them to the correct place, being that of the dem leadership of Fannie/Freddie.

You folks have a safe trip, as for now I am bikeless but still an AMA member. When the economy picks up hopefully I'll be able to ride again. We would always take extended weekend trips to the Blue Ridge Parkway, what I have always considered God's country. Oh yeah forgot to mention that it's not just the economy, we have grown to a family of four instead of the previous two. But I still say "one of these days". Remember to keep the rubber side down.

We went to my 30th about three years ago. When the evening came for the reunion, the wife and I were not familiar with the location, so we decided to sit in the car for a few minutes when we got there to be sure we were at the right place. So as we sat watching I mentioned to my wife "Honey all I see is bunch of old people going in there we must be at the wrong place", then the next thing I told her was "wait a minute I know that old fart", and then realized I too was an old fart at the correct location for the reunion.

Last I checked the going (buying) price was about $19 bucks per gram, with approx. 31 grams per ounce = around $589 per ounce.

If I'm not mistaken the greenspace was voted for by the residents of Paulding.
-
That is true, however it turns out after the 2012 elections, the repubs will regain control of DC, and if 0bamareidpelosi-care still stands, it will be repealed.
-
Well alrighty then, you believe the courts of your choosing and I will do the same, we will all find out when the SCOTUS rules on this.
-
Seems I remember something about a large amount of Paulding teachers suffering layoffs, and furloughs. I dunno maybe I was dreaming.

But that is not what this topic is about now is it, we are talking about what happened today in the 11th in Atlanta.
