  1. Yeah, its really coming down. Waters Rd, in between Ridge and Nebo...just down the street from Lake Ramona.
  2. I'd be out there in a heartbeat if they PSO needed or wanted my help...I hate being a bystander.
  3. It is unbelievable just how much is going on right now. I'm in complete admiration of our emergency personnel...
  4. My cure? Death by catapult.
  5. PSO has been up and down Waters a few times. I'm only a few football fields away, and I'm tempted to check it out. But I won't. I wish I had a big truck...and a boat.
  6. 2 bolts of lightning hit near my house by Lake Ramona within a minute of each other. Sounded like a bomb went off both times. Artillery has sounded quieter at times to me.
  7. I lived there for 5 years...GA actually gets more rain annually, and for the most part, they are friendlier than the people around Atlanta. Its pouring here near Lake Ramona.
  8. Awesome, it was the SAME code that was off by one digit. THANKS!!!
  9. Wait, a fan of UGA and UF? That must be confusing. That's a smart idea if you have the 'D' to hold it up.
  10. I had relatives here two hundred years ago (Cherokee) that were marched off by another relative (General Winfield Scott). My father and grandfather have done significant work on the family tree, and have traced our English roots to the early 17th century.
  11. I have the standard Midland weather radio, got it from Kroger. What frequency do you use? I use the 162.425 channel out of Buchanan, but all I seem to get is Birmingham and eastern Alabama warnings. Any suggestions? It just went off, informing me of a flash flood warning near Birmingham. Not very helpful for Paulding County.
  12. Yeah, I saw that originally, but you know how exact locations fade into our memories, so I set the search for this region. Somehow a tractor trailer wreck with a vehicle snuck in, and I pulled the trigger too quickly. My bad.
  13. I don't know if this is it or not, but a search of the NTSB found this accident report. http://www.ntsb.gov/publictn/1972/HAR7205.htm Its 1971, and the accident was in Waco, which is along Highway 78. Nevermind. False alarm. This was vehicle vs. tractor trailer. Sorry.
  14. OIC. Some slang or local jargon escapes me. I'm not from around here Good luck with your paper!
  15. Maybe the synapses aren't firing...but what is a fifty-eleven page research paper? Do you mean "infinite"? PCom has been a great help in my research paper. It stands at 24 pages...and I've decided that I was not meant to write long papers.
  16. I hope the cloud cover goes away, but from the looks of the forecast, it doesn't look like it.
  17. I'm pretty sure that the invocation took longer than the proceedings. The vote passed, but I don't think it was unanimous. It was my first time attending one of these things. I wasn't expecting a lot, so I guess I got what I was expecting.
  18. Seems like a good idea. I'd also go for a loan...IF! you can make it a short term one and you're confident it would be paid without hassle. Good luck
  19. I don't know how you did it, but somehow you hijacked your own post. Congrats! Interesting article, btw.
