You're absolutely right....but how many 4yo's get drunk and break into another person's house and steal things? POOR PARENTAL GUIDANCE. At the age of 4, my daughter knew (as I'm sure your child did, also) that beer was an ADULT ONLY drink, and stealing is NOT ok.

I have never seen all of A Christmas Story....or Miracle on 34th Street....or probably any other movie you guys mention. We usually watched the claymation and cartoon shows growing up. Christmas has come to quickly this year....it just seems like we're wrapped up in so much that I can't enjoy the holiday season this go around.

I agree....kids can separate those and open them. But it does take a few minutes and a little bit of work for such small hands. She should have heard the door knob rattling or something though. It's noisy even when an adult tries to jimmy one of those off.

I feel sorry for the kid....not the mom. If he's already doing things like this when he's 4 and his mom is making excuses for him, just imagine 10-12 years from now.

And in all the time he was doing this.....his mom was where???? Do you know how long it would take a 4yo to drink 6 oz of beer, go to a neighbor's house, break in, find their Christmas tree, open the presents, put a dress on, and then go outside and start wandering the streets? WTF!?!?!?!?! ETA: OK...I see it happened in the early morning....but still....how do you not hear your kid walking around the house, breaking a safety cover off the door knob... I dunno. I DO LOVE what she said.... "Kids do things like this."

I go about 10 over when I'm on the interstate. I keep the needle right below the 10 mark though..... I make it from here to north of Gatlinburg in 3 hours. I think I have that trip down to a science, though.

My kid rides the bus. I must say that I'm glad they did an access road to the schools instead of putting them on the main road. It helps a lot with traffic on HGC Rd.

I'm starting Christmas shopping for next year in January.

I'm doing my shopping today....everybody else stay home so I can get it done.

Whoever was looking for purple decorations...GARDEN RIDGE! The have their decorations separated by color. Whoever was looking for purple lights.....WAL-MART.....wait until after Christmas....you'll find them. I found TONS the last couple years when I was looking for blue ones for my wedding.

That is just disgusting!!! A 7 month old fetus!?!?!? I cannot even imagine wanting to abort a baby that far along. By then, she's become a part of you....you can feel her moving inside of you.....oh how sad! They should be charged with murder as far as I'm concerned!

My parents did live very close to me...they were in New Hope and I was in Burnt Hickory. Due to the economy, however, they were forced to move back to TN. I'm going to visit them this weekend, and they're coming down for Christmas next weekend!
