  1. Well seems like the only folks that can't be proud of where they are from are Southerners. I also know that just as many Southerners fought the British as did the northerners. I too have traveled all over our country, I have found for the most part folks are just folks. The rudest people I've ever had the dis pleasure of meeting, and dealing with have been the snowbirds from New York, and New Jersey. Also I have found that most of the college kids from the "historic" colleges are also very rude, and disrespectful. I found the people in Texas, and Oklahoma to be very nice. Folks in Colorad
  2. Actually there are companies that already do that.
  3. What I'm not understanding is the distaste that some have for the manners of the South. You moved here, for what reason? Why is it a problem that we show respect for the families of the deceased? Good person or not. Why is it a problem that we teach our children to say "yes, sir/mam." Why is it a problem that our children are taught that you address adults as Mr. Mrs. Ms. or Miss ______________. Depending on the relationship they can use the sir name or the first name, but it must always be proceeded with the proper title. Maybe y'all that are from the North can explain it. For the OP the
  4. Well unless it's a Replicator from Star Gate. Those wouldn't be so good.
  5. And, 3D printers can make things that make us laugh. http://www.3d-printing.net/tags/jeff-dunham

  7. I don't know if the rules are more lax, or different. I pulled this one for now. But, the one I read last week stated that these leagues pop up then close down due to lack of organization.
  8. Let me go find the story, it was on Yahoo last week. This league wasn't in the rec department. It was a separate (I know some folks are going to hate this) Hispanic league. Again give me a min, I have to go find the story. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/05/03/family-says-ref-in-coma-after-attack-by-teen-has-been-assaulted-before/
  9. I read it was a rouge league. I don't think that makes any difference. This is a very sad situation.

  11. was that supposed to be funny?
  12. Yep it's not adding up. But, it shouldn't be that hard to get the facts. The DD214 should have it listed.
  13. I think it's against the law for him to be calling you at work.
  14. My DH, and DS are veterans. (neither Navy) but it's still funny.
  15. Yes, and yes. I took a disaster responders course. We were asked to think of all the things around us that could cause a disaster. How many times per day are explosive chemicals transported through our area? How big of a disater would be caused by the fuel tanks off of Powder Springs road? These don't even cover the illegal activities. I know it is scary to think that I am certified for disaster relief.
  16. I have been with my daughter when something like that has happened. You should have seen how fast he turned away when I said in a very loud voice "Hey she's 14, a little young for you." But, then I rarely have ever had any issues with standing up for myself, and my children.
  17. So, basically all you girls are scared to turn around, and confront them? Please, I would have embarrassed the crap out of them. You know say, "got a camera? Take a picture it'll last longer. Or, hey you got some drool coming out of your mouth." Way to go moms, your teaching your daughters not to stand up for themselves.
  18. We do have this channel. They always have very educational programing.
  19. I really must have a bubble around me. I've never had that happen, cept for the bell ringers at Christmas time.
  20. Not just today. It has always been that way.
