Us too. DH made a harness for our oldest befrore they had the ones with the wrist straps. We started to get one for DD but, with the wrist strap we knew she would just take it off. Yep, we made one with a harness for her too. Then with youngest, he wore overalls a lot just snap a leash on the back and all is well.

Yes, there has been animal insurance for years. Most of the time you pay the bill and they reimburse you. The trick is to find a vet that takes it. Cost depends on the age of your pet. It can be a lifesaver especially as your pet gets older and starts having age related or weight related illnesses. We all love to feed our pets too much. I only got my spay neuter tag because the extra fee was supposed to benefit the programs for SN. They only charged for the extra when I originally got the tag. So yep, I turned mine in.
