  1. Momof3, I'm glad to hear that they really do take it seriously. I intend to call them next week to get the results. CC, it was only a few minutes of my time. I wanted to put the info out there for others, not only for that particular gas station, but to be aware of those little things, like the stickers. Some people may not realize they are not supposed to be messed with and if they are, don't use the pump and notify the attendant.Sams is just about the on;y gas I out in my truck, I've always felt pretty safe using their pumps especially since they have an attendant walking the pumps when peo
  2. I did call Sams and spoke to the store manager. She said the attendant had not informed her and that she would look into it.
  3. I have called the store manager and let her know. Hopefully, they will let the proper authority know about it. I may go ahead and call the Dept. of Agriculture and see if they are the ones responsible for checking the pumps. BTW, the store manager said no one had informed her of the security stickers being tampered with. Go figure. Thanks. Calling now. ETA: I just got off the phone with the DOA Fuel and Measures and she took the information and is sending it over to the inspector for this area to check it out. She said for me to give it about a week and call back to find out the result
  4. You know most of the time I check those stickers to make sure they are intact and I always use a pump closet to the building where there are more watchful eyes. This time, I just didn't look until after I started pumping my gas. I really hope it's a fluke and no one really did anything to steal info.
  5. I was getting gas this morning at Sam's in Hiram and after I entered my info and started pumping my gas, I noticed the two stickers over the key hole and the door were cut and pushed in. I did let the attendant know, but he said he was only filling in for someone on their break and knew nothing about the security tape strips. Anyway, my bank card has now been blocked and I have to wait for a new one, better safe than sorry. Since I'm not sure the attendant will do anything, is there someone I should call to report a possible tampering? Hopefully, it is nothing, and some bozo was just messing a
  6. I two refrigerators, side by side and freezer on top/fridge on bottom. I prefer the side by side, it's in the kitchen. The French ones look cool and all, but they are not for me, heard too many repair tales. The top and bottom is hubby's beer fridge and is in the garage.
  7. We eat at that place a good bit. We've never had an issue, nor have we gotten sick after eating their food. It almost looks like balled up cabbage or something, kind of hard to tell from the pic. I really hope it's nothing and everyone's mind can be put to ease.
  8. I have been looking for a job and I keep running into the same questions, with the same response. I have considered doing what Blondie does since I enjoy customer service and helping others, one reason why I really liked working for Kroger. However, I can not even get a job there anymore, I'm just about to turn 42, so I'm really not old and I have some college, just didn't finish to get a degree. In 2012 I was working, doing inside sales, but that job was so shady and I am not one to lie to people. It was all about squandering money out of people, especially the elderly and newly retired. Mom
  9. I've had Taki and it is good, but have you ever tried sushi from Fuji next to Academy? IMO theirs is the best. We usually will get a party tray to go and DH, DD and I make a meal of it.
  10. Surepip, The Irish Bred Pub in Douglasville is very good and not overly expensive. It's a good mix of Irish and English food. My husband and my British neighbors swear by the Shepherds Pie. I like their fish n chips as well as their burgers, but there is quite a bit on their menu and they may even have a website with the menu listed. It's next to Gumbeaux's. ETA, they do have a menu with price list online.
  11. I read the article, it sure seems he had quite the career and was a very successful officer. Wow, he was a beautiful Belgian Malinois. My thoughts and prayers to his family, I'm sure this is a very sad time for them.
  12. Top loader only here. I thought I wanted a front loader, but then heard so many horror stories about them. A friend of mine from England, grew up with the front loaders, she can't stand them. My washing machine is a 15 year old Maytag that we bought new when we bought our house, I've had it serviced once for a tub seal that was leaking, other than that it's still going strong and won't be replaced until it is completely dead. LOL With that said, I won't have another Maytag, they sold out to Whirlpool and just aren't the same quality. Fortunately, mine is a real Maytag.
  13. I vote for #3, but then I like to see a smile. He is a gorgeous young man and his smile is stunning, show it off!
  14. Blondie, are you still working with the A company?
  15. I think this would be so neat to see. The information came from the FB page of WTOC news reporter Don Logana in Savannah,GA. I couldn't figure out any other way to cite my source. Any way, if anyone is out where they might see this WIDE LOAD, take a pic if you can, please. TRAFFIC ALERT: WIDE LOAD WARNING...From GDOT... South and Central Georgia, Metro Atlanta… Truck Hauling 582,000 Pound Load Leaves Savannah Port Tonight En Route to Alabama State Line WHAT: Georgia Department of Transportation issued a permit for a 582,000 pound press to be transported during nighttime hours from th
  16. If you have Ebola, don't go outside, I don't want to breathe any of your "sickness". Remember, I live around the corner. For the love of Pete, think of your neighbors!!!! Seriously, I hope you and the wife feel better soon.
  17. Stradial, don't feel bad. Dh and I just got our first iPhone's and we can't figure out how to get iTunes music on them. I've always had Android, but this iOS is so foreign to me.
  18. Considering the evil nature of what was Saddam, I have no doubt he had WMD's. Not those that would destroy the world in one go, but some that could destroy over time, like bio war fare. The problem, the way I see it, is that he was given too much time to move those weapons and likely did so. Our government should never have said a word about what they believed Saddam had, they should have just gone over and dealt with the man immediately and secretly. We the people DO NOT NEED to know everything.

See, I can't do that since I always bring my food back home to eat and I've only eaten inside the place twice. Plus, I like my HB's so crispy that they are nearly burned. LOL

I have only had their bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and yes, it is good. Don't bother with the hash browns, they are so greasy they stick to the paper wrapper like glue. Dh swears by their steak, egg and cheese biscuits and a couple other things, but I can't remember. It's only on a rare occasion that I stop there, mostly because I forget about them.
  21. Per her FB, someone with Home Depot has gone above and beyond to get Addi a new apron and all new pins to replace the ones that were lost. There are still really good people in the world.
  22. Is it a black and white cat that meows a lot?
