  1. I go to the one in Hiram, but it's the closest one to my house. None of them are stellar. Praying in WM? I do that every time I go, I pray I only get what I need and get out without over spending.
  2. I only use the permanent press cycle on my dryer, it's a 16 year old Maytag. If I have some clothes that come out of the washer that are heavily wrinkled, I give them a good shake and toss them in the dryer. If none of the above suggestions work for you, you may want to invest in a clothes steamer. Keep it in the laundry room and just steam them after you hang them, much faster than ironing everything all the time, especially casual clothes. Those steamers are not crazy expensive and some are fairly compact so as not to take up too much room. Something like this, for example... http://www.wa

    Help!

I would call AC and see what they say. Guinea are usually free range birds and tend to be healthier birds if allowed to be free. They are beneficial in that they LOVE to eat ticks and other bugs. They are also good at keeping snakes away. With that said, they are very noisy and nasty with all their poop. My MIL had four and she had to clean her driveway every single day, eventually the bobcats got them and she doesn't want anymore. Her neighbors didn't mind the birds, but that is not the case in your situation since you have an issue with 40 birds making a mess on your property. Supposedly, gu
  5. Small hijack, Stradial, that was me that honked and waved at you yesterday as you were turning on your street. I was just saying hello. *end of hijack*
  6. Yes, you are right. I really should have said DH talk to his mother, and he should talk to her first.
  7. I've had a few and they are annoying. They are in my bathroom, so I will try pouring a bit of bleach down the drain.
  8. It sounds like it's time to have a discussion with your MIL. Explain to her the reason why her dog cannot be on the furniture. My own pets are allowed on the furniture and sleep in the bed, and while I believe it's their home and my guests will have to deal with it, there are exceptions. I clean like a mad fool when my niece comes to visit because she has a mild allergy to my cat. We don't travel with our dogs anymore, we have someone stay here with them, but even when we did take them, we followed the house rules of the people we were visiting. As far as your MIL putting the dog on your bed,
  9. Some of those trail cameras use an SD card, therefore the photos can be installed on a computer. If that's the case, they were able to zoom in on the slime balls pretty good and crop the pics.
  10. Yes, the food situation is very worrisome, but what can we do? It seems that no one will listen. From what I understand even some seafood caught in US waters is being shipped to China for processing and then shipped back here for our consumption. WHY? How is that a cost saver? It's can't be, unless it's a way to artificially inflate the seafood industry prices and keep up whatever agreements we have with the Chinese.
  11. I agree, stay in the car and try to get away. However, what would the media do if he had tried to escape in his vehicle and struck one of the perps? He would be annihilated for doing so. I really doubt any of that went through his mind when he got out of his car, though. I do hope the criminals are prosecuted and jailed for a very long time. It's what they deserve, unless the Bosnian community gets to them first. In which case we won't need to worry about a trial. It's my understanding that is how they conduct "business".
  12. I try not buy fro China, but it's very hard to find things made here. There is a website that lists things that are made in the USA, it's www.usalovelist.com It's worth a look. ETA: There is also a textile manufacturer based in Griffin, Ga. It's called 1888 Mills and they make towels and such, there products can be found in Walmart and are very reasonable and of good quality. I have some of their wash cloths and really like them.
  13. The bucket is not a bad deal if you use it at least once a month, or go in halves with a friend or family member and just share it. Also, there are certain times you can go to the movies and get the discounts, matinee times and the Hiram theater has a special between 4:00 and 5:00, I believe. They always have several movies showing during those times. Something else, they have a Carmike card you can pick up, you register it and they scan it each time and you earn points for free stuff, such as popcorn, drinks, movie ticket, etc. I'm glad the kids enjoyed the movie, they were happy to spend tha
  14. Glad you and your wife had a great time. I have no clue who those two ladies are, but you do look happy sandwiched between them.
  15. Unless you are willing to call during the hours that a meat cutter is there, then you may want to call Publix. THey should be able to fulfill your request, but you will still need to call during the day, usually before 3 or 4, to speak to a meat cutter. It's not uncommon to have untrained people working the evening shift and they typically are not trained to cut anything, they simply refill the case and clean up at night. Another option is West Metro, they may do a turkey breast for you. They are also real meat cutters.
  16. He had the seals, it was the bulbs he was missing.
  17. Thought I would give y'all the update on the gas pump situation. First , the pump was fine. YAY!!!! The security stickers were not tampered with by just anyone, it was the inspector that was responsible. He tore the stickers to get inside the part of the pump he services, the bulbs needed replacing, but he didn't have any with him. He left the stickers torn and cut rather than replace them on his first visit. He planned to replace them on his second visit when he replaced the bulbs. Sure enough, the pump was inspected and new stickers are on it. NO SKIMMER!!
  18. Stradial, my neighbors across the street were in the remake. Mack was in the opening scene and Clara was in a scene with Dennis Quaid, but it was deleted.
  19. It was only recently that I learned of people trying to pass off their pets as a service dog. That is wrong. Period. If an individual needs a service dog, then they should be required to go through the proper channels to obtain one from a reputable source. I believe people should be educated about service animals, it would just make things so much easier for those people who truly need them. It shouldn't have to come down to proving your professionally trained canine aid is legit, so maybe at some point our lawmakers will make it so the average Joe can't have Fluffy certified. Someone please c
  20. Sometimes people choose not to educate themselves about things, here it's service dogs. I was in WM a little while ago and saw the same man with the GSD service dog that I saw in Moe's on Wednesday. I asked him if she was in training and her age and then told him I thought he is doing a wonderful thing for others. It's amazing that a dog can be trained to assist a human being the way they do. The independence they give to people in need is immeasurable. Maybe it should be suggested that managers/owners make it clear to employees about service animals.
  21. I'm so glad that you Liberals don't carry, you all scare me.
  22. I prefer that people don't know if I'm carrying. It's not their business.
  23. Service dogs are easily identifiable by their vests. Not only that, but these dogs are well behaved due to the extensive training they receive. We saw one in Moe's Wednesday evening, it had on it's vest, but this one appeared to be in training as it looked to be an adolescent GSD. I do agree, however, that it would be much easier to have ID for the service dogs and maybe those who need the animals won't have to go through the hurdles they sometimes do.
