I was friends with his deputy clerk and worked with his wife, so I met him a few times. He's the same in everyday life as he is when he's presiding over a trial. Truly seemed to love the law and enjoyed talking about it.

The first time I served was for a DUI. It was obvious the guy was guilty because they had done the sobriety test and a breath test and he had failed big time, but the attorney was trying to make a case about the calibration being off on the analyzer (it wasn't). We went into deliberate and this older woman said "well, I don't know if he's guilty this time, but if he drinks I'm sure he's been guilty in the past, so I vote guilty." In the end, everyone decided he was actually guilty and it only took us about five minutes, but we all decided to wait in the jury room for twenty minutes so th

My Dad and I both seem to get the short stick in the jury pool. I don't know how many times he served, but so far - I have served four --- all in Paulding. I served in the 80s and got on a case. Got called for Grand Jury in the 90s and then recalled to indict for a murder (and hey...since we already have you here...let's go ahead and clear some of this other stuff off...). Then in 2011 and now another notice has appeared. It's a waste of time for them to call me...I'm so jaded now I don't think any defense team would want me on their defendant's jury panel...

I had jury duty not too long ago (I'm thinking about maybe not quite two years ago). I was thinking that they told us when i was there that you shouldn't get called up more than about every five to 10 years. Does anyone know if that is right or how often can they call you up for it?

Yes, for the computer - not sure if it is free for smartphones or not, but I suspect it is. http://www.avast.com/en-us/index -
Anti Virus/Anti Spyware for our cell phones, pads or tablets?

I was using AVG, but it let a nasty Virus through that destroyed my Desktop. I now use Avast and have been quite happy with it. -
Berry College Eagle is not looking happy

Mom is still sitting in the nest alone. Just saw this on the FB page... She stayed on her nest tree all night and went for a flight at 6:20 am. Berry College Eagles reported that she's close by and "chatting" with the parents. Like · Reply · 2 · about a minute ago She is fine, Berry College Eagles has reassured everyone that she is in a nearby tree, parents have been watching her. -
Was very impressed with Piedmont until we spent EIGHT HOURS in the emergency room on the last day of my Dad's life. His idiot doctor insisted he go there for a cat scan instead of coming to the office for an examination (at Piedmont) because my Dad was having a stomach issue (which turned out to be nothing and the doctor would have known that if he had seen my Dad instead of pushing him to go to the emergency room). My Dad was so stressed out from the ordeal, worried they were going to admit him, and so tired from the long hours there --- he passed away that night in his sleep. I am convinced

Ironically, just in time for graduation day..... -
Don't homeowners get hit with a tax for the school on their property tax too though? If so, it seems like someone is putting their hand into your pocketbook twice.

I crossed 61 after it happened, but didn't know what had occurred ---- just saw a lot of backed-up traffic.

So sorry for your loss.

I haven't been in a while, but was doing rather well with it until I came up against the one at Chattahoochee School. Never could find it. Very frustrating.

Best place to get a spa massage in local area?
SushiBoofay replied to SushiBoofay's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks for the info, everyone! I see a massage and facial in my very near future! -
I was wondering where the best place is to get a massage that would not require a long drive or going into Atlanta. I would prefer more of a day spa atmosphere than something like a chiropractic clinic. Maybe somewhere that you could get a package deal for massage, facial, manicure, etc..

It's 11:35 and she's not in the nest. Is she sitting on the branch to the left on the approach camera? -

She's back in the nest now. The climbing must have wore her out. -
I couldn't help but wonder if there has been a ransom demand for the grandmother and the police aren't talking about it, but I suppose that only happens in the movies. It certainly seems personal though. Almost like someone sent a message.

Give new meaning to the phrase "empty nester"--- doesn't it!

Here's one that I've kept up with on and off for years. Looks like it's night there right now. http://www.africam.com/wildlife/tembe_webcam

I'm missing something. I don't see the information about the dress code. Just a description of the show and to the side where you can sign up for tickets.

I always thought it would be neat to have a little coffee/tea shop right on the square in Dallas. Of course, everything closes up so early - I guess the owner would starve.

Dentist. Eye place and something else...

The mama keeps shifting around - wonder if BB#2 is on the way. *****She just left the nest...the baby is so tiny!

Mine is probably about the same size. I love walking by it after it rains. Love the smell of rosemary and cook with it quite often.
