  1. I remember seeing that now - the trouble with the slide show is it was impossible to read the details of the posters - even with the slide show paused.
  2. I know you don't like to hear from those who don't agree with you 100%, but you have proven my point about Dr. Phil getting rich off the backs of the gullible (and poor who have time to watch his show because they don't work.) Back to the topic - it looks like a study in 1983 said a woman was being victimized by domestic violence every 15 seconds. According to TP, Dr. Phil's recent study says the same thing. Obviously whatever they've tried over the last 30 years hasn't worked. What needs to be changed to stop real violence domestic violence against women?
  3. "Dr". Phil? The man who gave up his license to get rich off the backs of the gullible? I've read even his own profession sanctioned him. I have no reason to believe anything he says without further proof.
  4. How is violence defined in this context? One every fifteen seconds is over two million women per year, which seems like a lot if 'violence' is loosely defined. It does nobody any good to over estimate the number affected, or under define what they mean by violence.
  5. If the camer were in the room all the time and the teacher always played to the camera, many students would get a beter education. It could also help with disipline situations.
  6. Everything I've had from her is delicious. It's preservative free, but freezes well. -- Also - you can get fresh eggs at the farmer's market as well.
  7. Everyone is right - it is the plaza where Badcock Furniture is. At the corner of 120 and East Paulding. If you want peaches come early - they ran out last week after about an hour. They promised fresh tomatoes this week.
  8. There will be a lot of locally grown produce and hand made items. The Farmer's Market is located in the Citizens Square Shopping Center, 4075 Charles Hardy Parkway, Dallas, 30157. Hours of operation:Thursdays from 3 pm to 7 pm. Here's a link to this week's newsletter: http://us5.campaign-archive1.com/?u=223d05915040bf9c030a08381&id=2ff6095682
  9. In other words, someone who knows and works with the teacher on a day-to-day basis? And the teacher knows they're being observed at the time?
  10. Who does the observations and gives the rating?
  11. Great! I didn't want you showing up in the area and being overwhelmed by all the options other than Dollywood. Of course, the nephews will want to go everywhere! Dollywood is great. Dixie Stampede is a dinner theater around an arena with north/south based show - primarily with horses - it's very entertaining. (Be aware - you eat with your hands.) There is a new area called 'The Island' with a giant ferris wheel. Everyone might enjoy that. You also have a Titanic Museum, Comedy dinner theaters, Upside Down Mansion, Hatfield / McCoys show, Lumberjack show, Raised go cart track, bal
  12. It's a big tourist area, so there's no end to the things to do and places to eat. Search on things to do in Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Gatlinberg. This is a case where the internet will be your friend - spend as much time as you can researching before you go so you're not overwhelmed.
  13. True if you see the death penalty as murder. The thing is, many see it as a fit punishment for intentionally taking another's life (after appropriate prosecution). I believe those who fight to abolish the death penalty are also among those who cheapen life. By saying 'Death and Killing is simply murder', can we assume you mean you would not kill another to protect your life or that of your family because that would be murder? Do you mean that any death at the hands of another is murder regardless of circumstances? What about an accidental car accident?
  14. How many of y'all know that there's a Farmers Market (Sponsored by the Paulding County Farm Bureau) every Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 in the Citizens Square Plaza's parking lot? It's at the corner of East Paulding and Dallas Highway (120) near the Dallas Wal*Mart. They have a lot of fresh local produce and other locally produced items. Stop by if you get a chance. Here's a link to their newsletter: http://Come out this week to sign up for our Mad Market Money and receive a free market bag courtesy of the Paulding County Farm Bureau
  15. I'm sorry. I should have known better than to try and have a discussion with the de-facto face of Paulding.com. There's no way most of us can keep up. You're right of course - defining apostasy from a Christian standpoint makes perfect sense when discussing a ruling from an Islamic court. Especially to someone with a highly developed sense of logic like yours.
  16. Therein lies your problem. You somehow believe she was condemned to death by an Islamic court because she rebelled against Christianity. Do a little research on apostasy in Islam and get back to us.
  17. It's Pubby's site. He must think TP's posts help because he allows them to stay and allows him to constantly post the way he does.
  18. Click here: http://townhall.com/columnists/kurtschlichter/2014/06/02/dont-argue-with-liberalsit-only-encourages-them-n1845401 for complete article. -- The way I read the OP (the de-facto face of Paulding.com who happens to live in Cherokee County) has made up his mind about what he posts and doesn't want to read anyone telling him different. Why do I call him the de-facto face of P.com? Imagine you're a new visitor to the site. After reading the content from the poster who has the most posts on the recent topics page, what would you think of the site?
  19. Another thing to look at is the fact that the Samsung WB150F is a 'Smart' camera with Wi-Fi capabilities. Depending on how you have the camera set-up, you may have been connected to a hotspot and where the phone uploaded the photos somewhere. Your best bet would be find someone who knows those cameras to look at the settings and see what may have happened.
  20. A few questions that may help get to an answer = does your camera have internal memory and if not, if you put the card in the camera do they show back up? What camera/model is it?
  21. It's OK to be concerned based on the facts and first hand impressions, and go get folks to join your side based on those facts and impressions. It's quite another to put together a hit piece with the sole intent of forming a mob against someone. It's gotten so bad one of the folks who's bought into the 'toxic waste dump' had to resort to claiming I wrote things that I didn't write in order to further their cause.
  22. If you 're worried about the SCT, you need to start a movement to get Metromont shut down. The cement dust the could put out would easily damage the lung of those on the trail. While we're at it, why should a helicopter repair business be allowed to be in Hiram. One of those could easily crash into Hiram Elementary - I've seen flights to in that general direction a lot. We need to shut it down fast before something bad happens.
  23. What kind of aircraft - commercial or military?
  24. I believe this was an opinion piece, not a news article. If you click on the author's name, you will see other things posted by him in the Patch. He seems to be very anti-Crist, because that's all he writes about or comments on.
  25. After reading the request, I see it's as expected. The writer lied in the first sentence of the opinion piece piece and went on to put every scare tactic in the book into their article (short of nuclear contamination). How can he expect anyone to take him seriously? It's a transfer facility not a DUMP, but an enclosed transfer facility and the request specifically excludes hazardous waste If someone wanted to sneak hazardous waste into a Crist dumpster, they could just as easily sneak it into a school dumpster. Maybe we should petition to remove all dumpsters from near the schools.
