If by 'community' you mean P.com - please explain this: 20,000 montly visitors with 77% participating means 15,400 unique members participating each month. Where are these members?

It's either coming across the border from Latin America with children as it's carrier, or it's developed (evolved) simultaneously in almost every state, with each strain looking just like a disease currently Latin America. Which is more likely? More importantly, what do we do to stop it's spread to more American children?

You mean P.Com's Sage from Cherokee? Where would P.com be without his wisdom?

It really doesn't matter what we thing. It's either coming across the border from Latin America, or it's developed (evolved) mysteriously in many areas all over the country, each 'new' strain looking just like a disease currently Latin America. Which is more likely, but more importantly, what do we do to stop it from affecting American children?

And just how do you propose they do that in the next week or so?

Yet another example of the peace loving religion of Islam

Just as I said earlier - you've written tens of thousands of words defending islam regardless of what the followers in question say, Then you take your members' plain writings and immediatley 'suspect' all kinds of evil intent. I believe you have been brain washed your entire life into believing that any and all conservatives are no better than the devil. -

That's the way I read it. Pubby believes everyone in prison is there for revenge, not for punishment. -
As I understand it, the key to preventing the spread ot the disease is to closely monitor everyone who may have come into contact with a carrier. The instant one of them shows a fever, they must be isolated for 2 weeks. That means anyone with ebola will have to try to identify everyone they may have been in contact with, and those people need to be willing to be monitored daily and isolated if they run a fever. The minute folks start complaining about civil rights violations and refusing to identify those who they've contact with, or those with fevers ignoring orders to stay out of pub

Reading this, I see a group of posters bending over backwords to make excuses and try to convince everyone the beheading in OK had nothing to do with the islam religion, and by extension the attacks by isis also have nothing to do with islam, no matter what the evidence to the contrary - including the words of the offending parties themsleves. The interesting part is these same posters are also bending over backwords to twist the clear words of those who don't agree with them trying to make them look like the bad guy. As a side note - I can't help but wonder when the owner of a bus -

I believe that Pubby is using the liberal/progressive/socialist definition of hate. i.e. When your beliefs cause you to disagree with a liberal's beliefs, you hate those you disagree with. When you try to explain your beliefs, you're drumming up hate. -

I guess the Muslims that were saying “Praise Allah” during the press conference were doing so because the psyco was shot before he was able to kill more people. -

Among other outlets, the New York Post is reporting "Murder Suspect Alton Nolen Shouted Islamic Phrases During Beheading". The question is, how many hundreds of more words will Pubby write to explain this still has nothing to do with Islam, it's the Christian's fault and conservatives are nothing but KKK members in neckties. -

Pubby, For somebody claiming to not want to make these islamic murders look good, you write an awful lot of words trying to do just that. -

Police reports say that before he was fired, he tried to convert his coworkers to Islam. I wonder if he took seriously the part in the Koran that commands followers to kill those who refuse to convert. -

With the way windshields are made for safety, I would think the windshield would be the hardest thing to break and actually get into. I agree a side window would have been better and probably easier. -
That is a beautiful piece of wood. I've been thinking about this. You said you just brought it up from Florida. Wood expands and contracts naturally when moisture is involved. I'd put the table in place inside and wait a month or two before doing anything, This will let it the moisture in the wood stabilize. While unlikely, there is a slight chance the crack will shrink. Is the bottom finished or bare? If bare (or minimal finish), that may be one of the problems. One of the biggest issues with wood is when only one side is finished. Moisture from the air penetrates the unfinished side
-
That really isn't in my area of expertise, but one thing I noticed is it looks like water has gotten under the finish - the white areas along the crack, especially on the left side of the picture. Even if you were able to repair it, you would still see the crack and the water spots would still be under the finish, As a long term solution, you would probably be better off removing the finish and re-doing it. If you don't want to go that far, you'll need to identify the finish. An internet search of 'repair polyurethane crack' and 'repair epoxy crack in finish' may help. Sorry I

This Guy Tells You How Rich People Think!
markdavd replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Pubby - has P.Com ever had employees? If so, how much over the minimum wage did you pay them? The way you write, I'm sure it would have been no less than 2 or 3 times the MW at the time. -

Broke (poor) people buy stuff. The middle class are paid to make stuff, and also they buy stuff. The 'rich' sell stuff, and pay to have it made. P.Com's Sage from Cherokee attempts to explain the thinking of the rich via cartoon. -

The less savvy and new board visitors will be caught up in the wisdom of P.com's Sage from Cherokee and won't even see topics like this. Going back on topic, maybe they should have better regulated bad drivers and prevent them from causing the damage in the first place instead of blaming the damage on the cars themselves.
