  1. For today (Wednesday) I'm seeing them showing 3 to 6 inches of snow for Paulding.
  2. Just get your sleds and ice skates out and have fun with it!
  3. They love to make people panic and get the ratings up. They just need to report the weather, stop over doing the emotions, give a time estimation, give a educated guess of how many inches, and that's it. STOP MAKING PEOPLE PANIC. They do the same thing with thunderstorms and tornados. I don't panic at all with snow nor ice, I panic with thunderstorms/tornados. I learned not to listen to those people on TV now. I just watch the models with the mute on.
  4. Catch up on your episodes of Little House on the Prairie.
  5. Happy Wife and Mom, I think your Chi has to go potty! LMBO!
  6. If the school is open, my daughter is going. If they call it during the day again, I will be there to get her. As for people that have to venture out for anything, work, etc., use your gut feeling. If you can do it, and safely, then go, if you have any doubts what so ever, stay at home. If you are questioning yourself, and hesitant, stay at home!
  7. I never got into the Beetles. However, I do love some of their songs, like "Hey Jude"!
  8. The year this happened, is the year I was born.
  9. Now I remember that. But I won't be 50 until May.
  10. Great Thursday Morning! After seeing DOT signs warning of a Winter storm watch this morning (scheduled for tonight) that didn't jive with her models. Meteorolog...ist Karen Minton got in contact with the National Weather Service. They told her the message was an error and would tell the Department of Transportation to take the signs down. Those signs have now come down. The National weather service did send out a winter weather statement but no warnings or watches have been issued. Once again Karen is on her game and on the job. Have a great day and we've got you covered on the weather. L
  11. UPDATE: After Karen spoke to the NWS, they asked GDOT to remove the "erroneous" language and the signs were down by 5:30 a.m. If you take the interstate to work this morning, you will likely see one of these signs, but Karen Minton says her models only show a slight risk for wintry mix. http://2wsb.tv/1e5teRd The National Weather Service did send a winter weather statement, but no warnings or watches have been issued. Turn on Channel 2 Action News for Karen's updated forecast. #‎wsbtv
  12. My link Gov. Nathan Deal today announced immediate reforms for how the state communicates with Georgians when under a winter storm warning; he also named the Governor’s Severe Winter Weather Warning and Preparedness Task Force, which will advise on implementation of reforms and suggest short-term and long-term solutions. “Effective immediately, a storm warning will trigger a message to cell phones in targeted areas, as in the Amber Alert system, and advise against road travel,” said Deal. “We will go one step further with school superintendents by emailing them weather condition update
  13. Anyone get the text from the Sheriff department and now a phone call from the School for Friday? I'm sorry but this is funny to me. LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!! AND, I'm not kidding!!!
