  1. I don't know where you are getting that, but whatever! We read what he wrote, we had an opinion.... Get over it! I laugh at you, because of your middle sentence.. Can't read between those line, and for the Counties, no kidding we are attached to others, and part of the State. Deal with this County when it comes to weather and where it's coming from. Oh, one more thing, bite me!!! Holier than thou...
  2. We're not talking about other Counties, we are just talking about Paulding County. Cliff, you worry about Paulding County, that is your job.
  3. Don't explain yourself to her Lo... Who is she? Just because she doesn't have a brain in her head on how to figure out how to safely get her kid home, it's everyone's fault but her own. Get off your ass, and get your own child. You knew it was coming, you did nothing! Now shut the hell up! (Not you Lo)
  4. LMBO!! You know me, don't jump on my people of Paulding.com...
  5. Post 1....Original Post two..... UM, NO YOU DIDN'T SAY THIS IN YOUR ORGINAL POST.
  6. Daughter and Friend, when I went to pick her up and friends mom picked her up, said school didn't have lunch. They were in advisement and this was at 11AM. After that, they were dismissing school at noon.

    Roads

I know I'm the odd women out but, I was on Old Cartersville Road this morning at 8:30, and I didn't have a problem with the road. Not saying others won't. It was covered with snow on one side and I'm sure ice under the snow, but the other side was ice. I didn't have a problem with my subdivision neither.
  9. Hell, if I had my way, daughter would have stayed at school and finished her classes. Then I would have picked her up. No, seriously... I knew about the weather, I brought her to school and picked her up. I won't allow anyone but myself to bring her nor pick her up when it snows. So, no complaints from me....about this! Now, how it was handled, well, that is a different story. I don't care that I brought her to school because I was going to be all up in the snow any way, come hell to high water. Matter of fact, when I picked her up and her friend, we went to lunch. I didn'
  10. When I received the phone call today that school was canceled and kids would be released at noon, I left and went to get my daughter. I got to the school at 11 and they told me that my daughter won't be counted absent because of the weather. I really don't think the schools is going to fight parents on this.
  11. They called it last night, before this morning... Even the school put out there, that school would be canceled at noon if weather was to be bad. I found out last night about school today.
  12. Yes they did!! They gave (The weather people) enough warnings, time about this snow coming. The modals were changing constantly and pointing to snow for Paulding County more and more. The news about the snow started days ago, then the watch, advisory, then warning. So, if people would have paid attention, they would have known what was going on ahead of time. And I agree with MOMOF3, look out your window. If people knew what a snow clouds looked like, you would have saw plenty of them. The Central Office should have called school off last night. To hell with the snow days and ma
  13. Just received a call. Sheriff department and some buses running now to get children home.
  14. Closed for students and staff...Open for 12 month staff but on 2 hour delay.
  15. Even thou I don't agree with the way this was handled, A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT ARE AT THE SCHOOLS TAKING CARE OF THE CHILDREN. ALSO TO THE DAY CARES THAT ARE STAYING OVER WITH THE CHILDREN THAT CAN'T MAKE IT HOME TO BE WITH THEIR PARENTS.
  16. Snowing really nicely here. Matter of fact, School has been canceled!!!
  17. I've been out and about...Just got home...No problems that I've seen! I'll be going back out again shortly.
  18. I'm bringing and picking up my daughter today. I'm sure a lot of parents and siblings will be doing the same. I also feel for the bus drivers.
