  1. Nice, pretty snow cloud over New Hope. I wish it would drop a bucket that is 10 feet deep of snow.
  2. I just wanted to say, I was given the code to a lock box last year to see a home. The realtor never showed up, we had to see the home on our own. The neighbor is the one that told us all about it. Also, we just saw another 4 houses on Lake Hartwell, and our new realtor got all the information we needed from the realtor that placed it on the market. So, no, you don't have to have the realtor who is selling the house, be your realtor.
  3. No, he doesn't shop at Target. Matter of fact, no one in the family shops at Target.
  4. It was used to pay an insurance bill. The CC company is taking care all of it. And THE TEXTURE, that was suppose to be a positive not a negative. I apologize.
  5. Some POS got ahold of my fathers credit card numbers here in Paulding County. And today, they used the numbers to pay their Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance Bill of $600.00 + in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dad's CC is like Fort Knox and that is how he found out that quick that it was used today. He canceled it today. Good luck you POS, when you bill doesn't get paid and you get locked up. He hardly goes any where, and when he does, he uses his CC. He is 74, and I am fit to be tied about this. When they do the full investigation and find out who the person is that used his CC, there will be c
  6. May you rest in peace Bosco!!! You got your wings, and will never be forgotten!!!!
  7. Gee's, did you hear the lunatic shooting off their gun this morning before 8 AM?
  8. I hear those gun shots all the time as well. All hours of the day, especially at night. I'm just waiting for them to shoot themselves. It's going to happen. The dumbass, if they are shooting up in the air and that bullet hits someone or something, when it comes down, and they finally trace it to them, they are going to be in a world of hurt. It amazes me, that PCSO doesn't try to track down where it's coming from, providing there have been complaints.
  9. You mean by AnyTime Workout? I know it was there, but my daughter corrected me and said it's at the old Abney now. I don't know, and really don't care, where it is. Just as long they have a chance to finish their education. I know they go 4 hours a day, unless that changed as well.
  10. They go to the Alternative School, which I believe is at the old Abney School now.
  11. That has nothing to do with the school. Matter of fact, the kids would laugh at that, and what would happen when one or few kids have the class 3 times. What would the punishment be then? Also, would the child be suspended until said class is completed? Or would they be in alternative school until class be completed? Parents pay, school pay? Would it be nonprofit? Would you put the children with adults in the same classroom, if they had to go to a regular DUI/DRUGS place? So many questions....
  12. You're not grasping that if kids want to drink and do drugs, they are going to do it. No matter how many clinics and rehabs, counseling is out there. As long they keep hanging with the wrong crowd they are going to keep doing it. It's the thrill. Again, it's not the schools responsibility to contact different associations for parents to get help for their kids because they broke a rule at school. It is your responsibility. If it's their first time, then you should nip it in the bud pretty easily. And why are you allowing your child to go to parties in the first place or being around oth
  13. They would do an investigation. But, I see your point.
  14. In the scenarios above, no one was force fed alcohol nor drugs.
  15. You can almost bet it's not your child's first time drinking or doing drugs. I don't know what they got busted for so I put both in. Also, it's not the schools responsibility to monitor, rehab, your child. It's your responsibility. You are the parent. You talk to them, your raise them. You bring them to a counselor, rehab, stop the friends that they are hanging with, etc... The school is following what rules is set forth in front of them. I don't understand at all, how parents blame the school for taking a stand when a child breaks a rule and gets punished. First time or not, underage
  16. First off, the 3 girls that got busted for being drunk at the basketball game was at East Paulding. They were literally drinking right there in the stands in the gym and one of the girls decided to walk right on the floor during the game. They might be expelled for the rest of the year, but they go to the old Abney. Also they are able to graduate with their class still. (My understanding) I will know if that part is true when I hear their name or see them. Oh and you forgot a few other scenario's in your list. And race has nothing to do with this, I know that two of the girls w
  17. I was sleeping great until the phone rang for a Code Red. Then some much for sleeping. At that moment it was raining so hard and the wind was so rough, I couldn't see my neighbors house. Very little thunder and lightning. I live in New Hope, I didn't lose any electricity.
  18. Yes, that is what it was.
  19. Can you tell me what they look like? I had this weird looking bug in my room that I never saw before. It was on my wall. Then it made it to my lamp. I don't like bugs. I flicked it and they fell into the garbage right behind my bedside table. I didn't read all the posts in this thread expect part of the OP posts. If you kill the little thing does it stay true to it's name?

Thank you guys for your response. You're all awesome! I appreciate all the different reasons. To respond to one of the posters questions: No, I didn't hear him ask. He might have! Good point! I don't remember when my children started to use a knife and cutting up their own food. I do however remember it being a child's plastic knife. And for the one's that tried to turn this ugly, nice try.

Why, because I was curious about something? He didn't care, he just smiled at his mom. Matter of fact, very nice loving family!

I was in Athens yesterday at a Crackel Barrel and I saw a mother cut up her 12 year old sons Canadian bacon, eggs, pancakes. He is in 6th grade, just your ordinary kid. They were talking to us, and other people that sat around them. The place wasn't busy.

What age do you think is to old to cut your child's food? I will answer why to my question after a few answers.
  24. Boy, gotta hand it to you, you're really something else aren't you?!
