Fred died in Paulding County. His family lives on in other towns!

Well, I just came back a little while ago from Sports Academy buying my daughter a heavy warm coat for school tomorrow, until her carhart coat comes in the mail that her brother ordered her for Christmas.

Fred is every where!!! But sadly passed away in Paulding County But will always be remembered! The JRs will carry on!!

Oh and blah blah, I did walk to school when I lived in MA. We didn't have school buses out there. And it was colder than a witches you know what, walking to school, but we dressed accordingly. But, apple and oranges. Two different climates. Can't compare. I just wanted to say, I did walk to school in the winter, snow and ice on the ground, wind blowing. And there had to be a very good reason for school to be canceled. They didn't cancel school out there. It had to be one horrific blizzard to cancel school.

I didn't know that. Well, so much for a funny thread.....

GOOD NEWS for FRED lovers!!! I found some of his family members in Oglethorp, Washington Georgia, and surrounding areas yesterday. I believe it was the JR's of the family. I thought this would make some of you very happy! Their alive I tell ya, their alive!!!!!

Yes, this is something to argue about! The buses and school down here are not equip to handle temps like this. I can remember a few times when I was in elementary living in Connecticut, it was so cold outside, snow on the ground, and the school was cold as well. We put on our coats and hats. When we weren't doing and writing, we put on our mittens. We finished out the day. Here, we can't do that, why? I was just outside in sweats and a sweatshirt and all I can say is....WHOLLY MOLLY, it's COLD OUT THERE! Yes, you heard that from me. You know it's cold, even if I post it. I felt like I was back home or back in Michigan. Dang!

You get 3 excused parent notes per semester. And to be honest, this really isn't something to fight/argue about. If you feel it's unsafe for your child to go to school tomorrow, then keep them home if school isn't canceled. Not all decision have to be made by the schools administrators. These are your children, not theirs!

I'm being sincere, I appreciate what you wrote, it opened up my eyes to see the bigger picture. And not to be so selfish, and think about just my needs, or others that have homes.

Thank you for putting me in my place, I so deserved that. I need to learn to look at the big picture.

I guess incase, pipes freeze or power goes out. Always be prepared for the worse, even if it doesn't happen.

Paulding County Sheriff's Office Special Weather Statement The National Weather Service is forecasting a very strong cold front to enter the area Sunday night. Once the front enters the state on Sunday, temperatures are not forecasted to rise above freezing until Wednesday.
