  1. I'm sending you a PM with a link. You might be able to tell if this is the same man with this link.
  2. YW. The name also comes up on Georgia's Unclaimed Funds site. Did he ever live in Jesup? Or this could be a relative...Jr. Sr., etc. https://etax.dor.ga.gov/unclaimedproperty/main.aspx 2236495 HOUSE DANIEL W JESUP GA
  3. Not sure if this is the same person. Here's a Danny W. House, age early 40s, with a New Mexico address. By searching that address and name in Google there is a link to a story about an indictment of same in Dona Ana County, NM on or about 2/15/11. http://www.spokeo.com/search?q=danny%20house#New Mexico:963860687/info Danny W. House 2217 S. Lime Street Deming, NM 88030 Danny W House - Deming, NM 2217 S Lime St, Deming, NM 88030 (575) 544-9987 http://whitepages.addresses.com/people/D+House/Deming%2C+NM There is also a Daniel House listed in Farmington, NM but it's hard to
  4. I'm confident the award will be appealed by the defendants. It's doubtful the plaintiff will ever collect that amount. It would be interesting to look up the case in another 6 months to a year and see what happened.
  5. Where do they have offices? I see something in Lithia Springs when I google the name and number. I'm hoping they have more than one office that is closer to E. Paulding/W. Cobb.
  6. I spent the last two days calling limo/party bus companies. Expect to pay $1400 to $2400 for a party bus that will seat 22-26 for 7 hours. There are also smaller coach buses that have traditional seating that hold 20-30 for a little less money. Stretch Hummers and others can carry 14. Most companies require a 50% deposit with payment in full 2 weeks before the event. Many don't allow for refunds in that last two weeks. Be sure to ask whether the price is "all inclusive" or whether tax and tip need to be added. Some leave the tip up to the passengers and others calculate it in the price.
  7. I just canceled Trash Taxi last week. Our service needed to be paid by January 1st and I did not receive a bill. I've used trashbilling.com before with them and the card I had saved on there expired and I had forgotten to update it. Instead of contacting me they just let the service lapse. When I updated the credit card it still didn't get paid because the trashbilling.com only charges when TrashTaxi tells them to and for some reason they wouldn't. I was on the phone with them and finally had enough when the girl at the office just flat out refused to go look up the account with trashbill
  8. HA HA HA, that was good! I've been looking for a security picture and haven't seen one yet...until your post!
  9. Wish there was a "Like" button on here. I already used up my up/down votes so can't use those.
  10. A college degree is not a requirement to earn a decent wage...the attainment of marketable skills is. It's kind of fun to find out how other people live so I'll play along and answer a few of your questions: I did go to college. It was an in-state school and was paid for in cash by my parents many years ago. Hubby and I worked prior to getting married and saved enough to pay cash for our first home which was a used 3 BR trailer. Hubby went to college after we were married which we paid for in cash, semester by semester. We had one child by that time and others after he graduated.
  11. You are making that association, not me. If the man made himself valuable by getting a formal education he is much more likely to keep a job. Perhaps he made a choice not to pursue that education, perhaps he did. We don't know the answer yet. The only inference one should make from my question is that education relates to the ability to provide for oneself. It sounds as if the wife educated herself and I'm guessing drew a decent wage as a teacher. However, perhaps it's not enough to provide for their lifestyle choices.
  12. It is sad that so many people think others should pay but never the ones who made the poor choices...the whole scenario is one big mistake on that couple's part... what is the hubby's education? why weren't they smart enough to prevent a pregnancy before they could afford it?
  13. We have a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones that are great. They aren't small though. The kids wear them especially when practicing the piano (Yamaha Clavinova electric piano) to drown out the background noise of the others. For listening to music on an MP3 or other device the sound is terrific. We bought them when a deal turned up on Passwird.com or some other deal site a year ago for $72.50.
  14. Very talented and cute. She'll get better and better as she grows. However cute her singing is right now, I hope she is getting speech therapy for the inability to pronounce "r" sounds. The inability to pronounce an "r" is not a normal speech pattern even in a 4 year old.
  15. I expect Herman Cain or someone else to fill in for Neal on at least Monday. They may even do a "best-of" show because both Neal and Belinda will find it too difficult to be in there so soon. I hope Neal doesn't feel the need to leave radio after this loss. He states he loved Royal like a brother. The total schock of losing such a young friend and losing that bond might make him rethink his own plans. He may be ready to end his radio career and enjoy his family. I hope not but I wouldn't be surprised by it.
  16. I am very saddened by this news. Royal was such a good balance to Neal's craziness. My mornings won't be the same. I can't imagine how Neal will be able to back on the air anytime soon without him.
  17. Good story...had a mammogram done at Wellstar Paulding (nice big building on corner of 120 and 278). The next day a gentleman from the office called to tell me that the radiologist had looked at the mammogram pictures and saw nothing unusual. I was really surprised to get a call the next day and relieved although I didn't expect any problems...ya just never know until you hear it for sure.
  18. http://www.facebook.com/#!/11Alive?sk=wall someone posted on 11alive's FB that the water was being shut off in that area.
  19. Same here in west Cobb about a mile from the Paulding line. Mixed with a little sunshine though.
  20. #4 of 4 with just 7 years between the oldest and me. I tend to be bossy, assertive, and sure of what I want...how does that fit in with being the baby?
  21. I'd venture to say the State collected several days' worth of sales taxes on Saturday and Sunday as people prepared for this event. Regarding the airport, as mentioned by another poster, it may be better not to have flights coming in since the arriving passengers would probably not be able to get home from the airport.
  22. At least 2" in west Cobb. Kids are outside playing in it.
  23. http://www.weather.gov/outlook_tab.php http://www.accuweather.com/winter-weather.asp http://www.wsbtv.com/local-radar/20551475/detail.html
  24. I hate this...kids are trying to finish up college applications and need their counselors and teachers recommendations. A lot of college deadlines are January 15th. I doubt the colleges will care that weather prevented the forms from being completed.
