  1. I edited my post after I noticed that he did indeed have two eyes. You're right about appearances though; hence the wolf in sheep's clothing expression.
  2. Postman is he related to a purple people eater? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9H_cI_WCnE
  3. This is the new thread Pubby started: http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/267696-e-cigarettes-good-price-plus-discount-for-mail-order-ecigs/page__pid__3422135#entry3422135
  4. Pubby, what are the rules on p.com about posting affiliate links? Can a paid member post an affiliate link somewhere on p.com/? (I'm thinking about something other that e-cigarettes.) (You posted this link in the other thread so I hope it's ok to ask this question here, as I saw where you wrote about affiliate links here.)
  5. A few minutes ago I got a phone call from a charity called Navajo Relief Fund. I got another one just a couple of days ago. That time I told the woman that I didn't make contributions on the phone and that if they mailed me something I would read it or I could look at their website. She basically would not take no for an answer and keep trying to get me to commit to a certain amount; starting at $100. So today I got another phone call from them. I looked online, and they are part of National Relief Charities and don't have a very high rating. I was sad when I noticed that a lot of native A
  6. Did you notice if he did the same with other customers, too?
  7. While looking at websites about dealing with stress, over-work, feeling overwhelmed, etc. I saw where some suggest asking a higher power for guidance before accepting any "new commitments." Have any of you tried that? What were the results?
  8. Dumbestgirlintheworld what is your definition of a freak? I see some people in society that are different and some with behavior that is abnormal, but I would be reluctant to label someone as a "freak," so I was wondering how you would use that label?
  9. Amazon has these. The most expensive is the flipper. It is approximately $85.00 postpaid and holds 5 lbs. of seed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz9uvSLQtRg
  10. Pubby, thanks for the info. I like how you disguised the name by using "Kay" instead of "K."
  11. I see some categories still have no nominees.
  12. Postman, I noticed that the second line in your thread title was a fun play on words in reference to the author. I like it and the poem, too. I look forward to more sunny days. In case anyone is wondering the title of the poem is A Day Of Sunshine. The poet that wrote it is Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
  13. This was posted underneath the video: Uploaded by cpfull99 on Mar 5, 2008 Grandpa Cy was married for 57 years, a World War II hero, father of 5 accomplished children, and grandfather to 17. He was a blessing. He died shortly after being diagnosed with stage IV brain cancer. Prior to the diagnosis, I had the opportunity to spend a joyful summer with him, enjoying golfing and picnics at my home. In March 2005, he penned the poem below. He handed me this poem in a sealed envelope in June 2005. He passed away in October 2005. My Message Virtue is a ray of Celestial Beauty The pri
  14. I was trying to figure out what trash has to do with April Fool's day. Then I realized what you meant.
  15. This poem is a reminder of the different paths different people take: The Road Not Taken By Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for a
  16. Does that mean that you're married? I just wondered. It the thread you started not long ago you referred to your DSO (I thought SO was significant other) and some of the members then stated in their posts something about you not being married. So your reference to husband made me wonder if they were wrong. Or maybe you recently got married? Please know that it doesn't matter to me if you are married or not. I'm just confused. I looked up the thread to see if I remembered it wrong, but then I saw that you had said DSO earlier in March.
  17. That post was editied by the member that posted it. I noticed the differences when someone quoted it this morning. Edited to add: The Postman and I must have been typing our replies at approximately the same time.
  18. What else are the close to? (I'm trying to get a better idea of where it is.)
  19. Dumbestgirlintheworld, what do you think life would be like if everyone followed the "norm" you mention and no one dared to be different? If that were true how many selections would you have to choose from when you went shopping---even for one item like clothes? Trends are started by someone who dared to be different. Someone had to be the first to wear pants made out of denim. And they weren't called jeans at first either so someone had to be the first to call them that. And for years they were considered to be work clothes. And years ago worn and torn jeans weren't desirable. So someone
  20. When I was in high school I knew a girl that had surgery for scoliosis. She was in a body cast for a really long time; maybe 9 months or a year. Will your daughter always need the rods? I will pray for you both.
  21. On chat I joked that irl I worked parttime as a scout for PBS and that the footage was her audition for a new children's show.
  22. Did you see Pubby when he was on talking tech AND wearing a hat? It was some fun footage. Also, LPPT, named the toys after p.com members.
  23. Barilla also makes regular pasta. I use the Barilla PLUS. Here's a link to a form on their website to use to email them. Also, they have an 800 number where you can talk to a company representative. Use which ever you prefer. They also have a newsletter you can sign up for. Some companies email coupons to print from their newsletters. I've gotten good results contacting companies---both when it's something I use or something I want to try. I usually explain that I like using their product or that it's something I'm interesting in trying and was wondering if they have any coupons: http:
  24. Can you get a plate to go? Some places with buffets offer carry-outs and some don't.
