  1. Here's a website where you might find some additional information. This page shows a review for the Green Tomato Buffet in Powder Springs that was mentioned by bydcbrown72. You can search for other places: http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/9/807462/restaurant/Atlanta/Green-Tomato-Buffet-Powder-Springs When I searched I noticed that they have several location besides Powder Springs; including Carrollton and Marietta.
  2. I like whole grain breads, but I've used unbleached white flour plus whole wheat pastry flour for things like muffins when I wanted a lighter flavor. King Arthur has a 100% white whole wheat flour. It's made from hard white spring wheat, rather than traditional red wheat. I've seen it at some grocery stores before and have been meaning to try it. On their website it has a lot of positive reviews. One said that it was good for white bread lovers. Since I first tried Barilla Plus pasta maybe a couple of years ago that is what I have been using. Have any of you tried it? It has a lighter
  3. Lowrider, I remember you being sick with bronchitis a few weeks ago. That came to mind after reading about your mom. I hope you don't mind me asking about how you're doing now?
  4. Dumbestgirlintheworld, I found what you said interesting. I don't see her coming across as "condescending." I asked her a couple of questions, and I appreciate that she was thoughtful enough to answer them honestly and share some of her thoughts and feelings.
  5. No, that wasn't it. It's someone I communicate with regularly.
  6. I'll be praying for you and your Mom, too.
  7. I will be praying for you both. Do you have other family locally to help?
  8. When did you start making everything homemade? Do you use all whole grains?
  9. Yesterday I typed a reply to a pm. I clicked reply, but it wasn't added.
  10. Does this sound anything like your symptoms? It's listed as a possible symptom of MVPS/D: Palpitations or irregular heart beat: When you have heart palpitations, they can make you feel as though your heart is not beating properly. Note that whether you describe the palpitations as "flutters", "flip flops," or skipped heartbeats," they all fall into the category of palpitations. http://www.mitralvalveprolapse.com/symptoms.html
  11. When I was in my 20s I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse Syndrome/Dysautonomia. At the hospital they put me in ICU. When they hooked me up to the monitor there my heart was beating really fast: 188 beats a minute. Earlier it had been beating a little faster than that. I would get it checked. I've heard of women having symptoms of MVPS after giving birth but it could be something else, and it would be good to find out what's causing it.
  12. This thread was started by thatboyaintright (also know as TBAR) in the fall of 2004: http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/10778-tunnels-walmart-yorkville/
  13. Maybe someone local could make you something. Are there any design students out there in p.com land?
  14. Tunnel talk was already in full swing when I joined p.com/ Does anyone remember when the first tunnel post was made/? http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/26847-pualding-county-tunnel-project/page__st__40__p__249165__hl__%2Btunnel+%2Bwest+%2Bforeman__fromsearch__1#entry249165
  15. From what you said you are already teaching others; just not through the means your family suggests. How would you sum up your views about diabetes? You mentioned that the woman was taking notes so that makes me think she would need to make changes. Did she seem receptive to that? There's a book called Dr. Neal Barnard's Program for Reversing Diabetes: The Scientifically Proven System for Reversing Diabetes without Drugs by Neal D. Barnard. Research found it to be three times more effective than the American Diabetes Association dietary guidelines at controlling blood sugar. Some people
  16. Thanks. What time is the deadline? I'm thinking about going. Could someone give me an idea of where the Paulding Community Center is? I can get directions online, but I just wanted to get an idea of where it's located.
  17. Everyone is imperfect, but Kipling was insightful: Many older editions of Rudyard Kipling's books have a swastika printed on their covers associated with a picture of an elephant carrying a lotus flower. Since the 1930s this has raised the possibility of Kipling being mistaken for a Nazi-sympathiser, though the Nazi party did not adopt the swastika until 1920. Kipling's use of the swastika was based on the Indian sun symbol conferring good luck and well-being; the word derived from the Sanskrit word svastika meaning "auspicious object". He used the swastika symbol in both right- and left-f
  18. Did any of you study this poem when you were in school? IF By Rudyard Kipling If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise; If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and
  19. There are more toxic chemicals these days, and there seem to less healthy interactions between people.
  20. Thanks. I didn't see the "copy image URL" option. I was wondering about the box here that is the 2nd to the right from the smiley face. When I put my mouse on it it says "Insert image." I use the 3 boxes image to post You tube videos.
  21. Did you see the pic I wanted to copy? I highlighed the pic and then right clicked the mouse, but I didn't know what steps to take then.
  22. Is the pic in Dumbestgirlintheworld's avatar her? I was just wondering. Someone in this thread mentioned a color they thought she would look good in.
  23. Here's an example. In the gardening forum the other day I posted that I bought some of these zinnia seeds locally. So I wanted to copy the pic of the flowers from this page and post it: http://www.burpee.com/flowers/zinnias/zinnia-pinwheel-mix-prod000436.html?catId=cat70024
