  1. we have direct tv and very rarely lose service. For the most part we are happy with them. Our bill runs about 40 a month with all the taxes. We wanted to go with ATT but although the neighborhood down the road has it they are still saying not in our area
  2. well I have a lot of luck its usually ironic/bad luck but I was in a similar situation and literally I pulled out of the emissions place and got pulled over. I told the officer that I just left emissions and was heading to tag office and I showed him my emissions and he let me go. He did stay behind me for a while, I think making sure I was going in the direction to the tag office I agree with Madea, if you get pulled over explain or show them paperwork from getting vehicle fixed and let them know you are going to emissions and tag.
  3. I dont know how to post links/quotes but I just went to the pcsd website and there is information on Cliff Cole. He was in cobb for ten years before moving to paulding. He did teach in cobb along with other positions it appears. He came to paulding in 97 and has been a assistant princiapal/principal and I think it said he has been assistant super since 2007. It also listed his degrees/etc. Good information if your interested in finding out more about him. He is more then qualified and couldnt be a better pick in my opinion. I think it will be a nice change and I wish him the best of luck!
  4. we qualify for this and I like to look at it as a 'bonus' for my husband chosing to do a dangerous job for very little pay. Im sorry if its at your expense If it makes you feel any better we used ours this year to buy our daughter some glasses and my husband a 1995 vehicle.
  5. I dont have a problem with drug testing but I do feel it could cost more. I do however have first hand knowledge of some flaws that could probably save us much more money then drug testing. Years ago my husband lost his job and after about ten months we swallowed our pride and went to get some assistance for our family (mostly our children). We almost didnt qualify bc we had a vehicle that was valued at 3k. Not sure how everyone else has these nice vehicles and gets assistance since our civic almost cost us being able to get assistance. The case worker told us the thinking is if the car is val
  6. I was under the impression that they were making another entrance for the church back there. ....but its been taking quite a while so Im not so sure if its that.
  7. such a great thing you guys are doing I will try to donate items as I have them
  8. well Im going to the dr for my 16 week appointment If my husband can get a day off or two from both his jobs we may go camping. Still trying to figure it out
  9. Im for the drug testing but do have some fears. Is there going to be some assistance put in place that if they test positive they will receive drug rehab? Im assuming if thats the case the tax payers will be paying for that as well. I also wonder what the expense of the drug testing will be. Im all for it but in the end I have great concerns that it could cost tax payers even more
  10. I saw a sign inside hibbits sports on dallas highway. I think the sign said apply online though.
  11. thanks for the advice and suggestions I figured drop ceiling would be best. One of our friends painted their ceiling and made it a family room and it actually looked awesome but probably not a great idea if we are wanting to make it a bedroom? My husband is good with things like this so Im guessing our only expense will be the materials. Where is the cheapest place to find this? I will probably keep checking craigslist as well.
  12. we are expecting another child and we are already busting at the seams in our 3bdroom house. We are renters and Ive thought about looking for a larger house but honestly this house is in our budget and we would rather only make one more move into a home that we purchase. We have already discussed with our landlord about completing the basement and he has no problem with it. It is already carpeted and has walls so its lacking a ceiling. I have searched online and seen several different ceiling options but was wondering what some of you have chosen and how much did it run you. We obviously want
  13. Im sorry things havent changed but that was pretty much what I was told when my daughter got bit in the eye. Owners can keep getting the animal but they will continue getting fines So will the owners also get the puppies? That is sad and horrible I hope your son is doing better
  14. wow I dont remember this at all but im with momof 3...I just had a baby. still kind of in shock that i didnt know about this since I lived right down the road. Well my thoughts go out to the families that lost so much just so sad
  15. I quit smoking a couple of months ago but If I did still smoke Im sure I wouldnt be thrilled and it would affect our budget but I would find a way to continue buying cigarettes. As far as going to another state, not so sure that would be practical for me not to mention with gas prices so high it probably not be worth driving elsewhere.
  16. probably in about a week Ive always heard if there is thunder storm in the winter you will have snow either a week later or within a week. Supposed to storm thursday
  17. typically I agreed with the thought...why on earth does a child need a cell phone. However in middle school my daughter participated in sports and if a practice got cancelled they wouldnt let her call from the school phone. So she either walked home or tried to borrow a phone from a friend. This bothered me greatly so she got a phone. With my 5th grader I had a few issues happen at school as well so she got a phone and my 8yr old got a phone for his birthday. ....he didnt need one he just wanted one and for 9 dollars a month we said ok. Im sure we could have worked things out without getting
  18. as a parent to a 15 year old daughter IT is scary. I have taught her and talked to her and I just have to pray she listened. I try to limit her time spent with her 'boyfriend' but Im realistic and know if she wants to do something she will find the time/place. As much as my teen being a parent is terrifing Im also nervous/concerned about diseases. The pill may prevent her from becoming pregnant but it wont protect her from HIV. I have stressed abstenance but I have also stressed protection, protection, protection. I told her if the time comes and she feels she is ready and doesnt feel comforta
  19. wow that does seem like a lot. My daughter is in hs and I know she will say 'oh there is ..... she is so nice but she will be leaving soon bc she is pregnant' Im kinda with georgiamommy in that its not so much an age but a stage. If they are married/or with long term and have a home/income then thats one thing but these poor girls havent even finished hs.
  20. flirting or further? I think flirting is harmless more then that I would be very sad if it happened to me
