Actually, the problem with laying one down is the oil in the compressor. Compressors have oil in the crankcase, just like a gas powered engine. When you lay one down, the oil can run out into the system and then the compressor could start up without lubrication. The oil will eventually make it's way back to teh compressor, but damage could be done while running dry. You can lay some of them down on one side, but you'd have to be a tech to which side that is. Letting them stand for a day before plugging them in is not a sure fix either, the oil may or may not run back into the compressor b

Connect the green wire on the fan to the ground coming out of the ceiling White to white Black to black Red to blue If you want to flip-flop your switches, interchange the black and blue wires on the fan. You would put the blue and black on the fan together if you only had a single switch
