  1. I could start a thread about RNG's burps.
  2. Huh? I can't hear for the BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRP coming from your office.
  3. I'm in downtown Hiram and didn't hear them. 'Course I can't hear anything over RNG's burps!
  4. When we moved to our current home (out in the woods), the neighborhood kids told stories of a giant snake that lived there. I finally saw it one day when I was walking the property with a surveyor. HUGE king snake, at least 4-5 feet long! Biggest snake I'd ever seen that wasn't behind glass! Surveyor told me she was king of the jungle, and we wouldn't have to worry about venomous snakes as long as it was around. I see baby kings all the time, I try to leave them alone.
  5. Oh yes they do! I'm from the Chattanooga area and they're infested with them up there. Both places I lived had water on the property, and those dang things were so bad we had to carry a gun with us anytime we went around the water. Haven't seen as many here; mostly copperheads as venomous snake go.
  6. You could be hearing katydids or those other big bug-looking things (forget what they are called). If these are areas you work in, you might try scattering some insecticide around. Often; if you get rid of the bugs and other small critters, the snakes will leave. I do that around my pool and it really made a difference. Copperheads and cottonmouths are ornery cusses!
  7. Some, yes. Not really common though except on the mountains.
  8. Opening windows when the pollen is out is a bad thing. Better to keep that crap out of your house. Also not a good idea when humidity levels are high, which is most of the time this year.
  9. Yep, vinyl liner. I don't use a salt system, though they do work well. I use an ionizer system that is better and less costly than salt systems. The pool stores don't sell them because they cut into their profits, but they can be bought online.
  10. It's been on for some time. We like it cool
  11. As quick as I can get the cover off. Maybe this weekend.
  12. Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo I have 10 acres. Not enough hours in the day as it is.
  13. Between RNG and my wife, I have slave drivers day and night.
  14. ...I'd have to hitch up the bass boat. Dang, I work too much.
  15. I think tomorrow will be OK. We're working outside too.
  16. I have no idea as to what you are referring.
  17. These people need to read the Bible
  18. This economy and changes in the market have claimed a lot of business; and there will be more to come. Run lean and try to survive, it almost has to get better at some point and those who are left standing will flourish again. Blessings!
