  1. My dad thought it would make a better young lady out of me if I attended Len Chris Ann School of Modeling and Charm. I can't say it did that but they did teach us how to make our feet soft....before bedtime apply a thick coat of vaseline to clean feet. Cover with a thick pair of cotton socks. When you wake up in the morning your feet will be soft and look better for wearing those sandals or flip flops. I can't stand sleeping in socks but I did try this a few times and it does work wonders
  2. One of my boys is an Atlanta Firefighter and loves it! The oldest works for Home Depot. I can't say he loves it but he seems to like it okay and it pays the bills.
  3. Stick fondue sticks all around in the dirt with the tips out about 2 inches....kitty won't get in the plant
  4. For many years I thought I was the oldest and then found out that my mother had another daughter before she had me. That child was placed for adoption at birth. When I was 24 I found her. We have a wonderful relationship...most of the time. Now I am the middle child which explains my occassional bout with bad behavior
  5. Went by Waffle House for a cup of coffee this morning and saw this....some folks will do anything for scattered smothered and covered
  6. I just started working last week and want to go to work. It's way more fun than being stuck in the house with a bored 17 year old. My office is less than a mile away. Have 4-wheel drive and will make a good faith effort in the morning
  7. My pups went out and played earlier in the day. They really enjoy the snow. It was hard to coax them back inside.
  8. I just came from Acworth to New Hope. All major roads were fine but folks seemed to be proceeding with caution. Some side roads are tricky.... I had to use 4 wheel drive.
  9. My son is a firefighter and is on duty today so Santa came yesterday. I gave my granddaughter her first car....she loved it! Her smiles and giggles are all I needed for Christmas ♥
  10. Thanks! My dogs love the snow. It's hard to get them to come in and thaw out.
  11. Snow on Christmas would be wonderful!
  12. Mine just does it on the fastread page. If I can get past it I don't have anymore issues.
  13. Mine is shutting down as well. Only does it on paulding.com
  14. I know you asked for easy recipes but I just had to share these. They do require a bit more effort and patience.I made them at Thanksgiving and they were a hit. They are cute by themselves but I cut small triangles of plain cheesecake and sat the mice on top. You could also use the white oreos to sit them on. I wish I had taken a photo. It looked like a small mouse sitting on a piece of cheese. For Christmas I am going to do some in white chocolate too. Well worth the effort! http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/Christmas-Eve-Mice
  15. "Noone" makes me crazy It is two words. No one
  16. I love my hardwood floors! I have 8 small dogs(inside)and have raised 3 boys on these floors. Only refinished once and they look great.
  17. The impact of it all really hit when I went to pay the wrecker service and take care of the details of what to do with the car. Standing beside it felt odd. Climbing around inside collecting what was left of my belongings was impacting me more than I thought it would. I am so thankful he is safe. Each and every time that boy has left this house since he started driving I preach about speeding, watching other drivers and making sure that everyone in his truck is wearing a seat belt. I'm sure he is so tired of hearing the speech and knows it by heart but for some reason I just can't stop myself
  18. I'm assuming by your post that you know or are related to my son's beautiful girlfriend. I'm very glad she was able to get there and be with him...she made everything all better for him.
  19. Thank you all! Someone asked what happened. I can only relay what he told me. He hit a pot hole on the edge of the road which sent the Jeep into a spin on the wet pavement. The backend of the Jeep hit the guard rail and then flipped end over end until it came to a rest in the lake bed. My guess is he was going too fast because I just can't imagine if he was traveling the speed limit that the Jeep would have had enough momentum to lift up and go over that guard rail. Very thankful to have my son alive and well.
  20. My son flipped my Jeep off of a bridge over Lake Allatoona yesterday. It rolled down a steep bank before it came to rest on the empty lake bed. He suffered a lump to the head and a few cuts and scrapes. I am sooo thankful he was not hurt more seriously or killed. Had he not been wearing his seat belt he would have been thrown from the Jeep and possibly rolled over by the Jeep. WEAR YOUR SEAT BELTS!!!! So very thankful that he walked away from this ♥
  21. If I thought sending a photo would get me an interview I would send one. I just want/need a job.
