  1. Divorce...lost my furbaby...no job. Finding the spirit of Christmas seems impossible right now.
  2. I didn't try to do any editing. I did use my computer to make copies. You might possibly be able to use some video editing software and do the edits on your pc.
  3. I purchased a dvd recorder and did my own. You can find instructions all over the internet. Here is one link I found http://dvr.about.com/od/howtos/ht/a2dvdr.htm I had a lot of home movies and it would have cost a lot of $$$$ to have someone else do it. This was so worth the $150 I spent on the recorder. I gave each of my children copies of our home movies for Christmas last year. Good luck!
  4. Married for the first time at 18. We were married for 8 years and then went through a nasty divorce. Married my second hubby when I was 27. After almost 20 years of marriage we are parting ways. Grateful that this time it is a very amicable divorce. I won't ever marry again.
  5. Last Friday we closed on a 2nd home we purchased at auction. It had sat empty for over 2 years. The previious owners were foreclosed on owing over $170,000.00. We purchased the house at a 1/4 of what was owed on the house by the family that lived there and were foreclosed on. As we sat in the closing attorney's office we all (our agent & the attorney), discussed how sad it was that we were able to purchase this house at such a low price with payments of less than $300 per month and the family who lived there before were not given that same option. It seems to me that it would have saved a
  6. Really? Wonder if they are hiring. Could be an interesting job
  7. Walmart has king size for $99.00, queen size for $89.00 and so on.
  8. I bought mine at Walmart at the end of the season on clearance. Paid $30.00 each They have dual controls (king, Queen, Full)so each person can decide how warm they want their side of the bed. Mine shuts off automatically after 8 hours. I don't know about using it on a childs bed. There may be some warnings on the package to advise regarding that issue.
  9. I bought one for each bed a few years back. They are wonderful! Nothing like climbing into warm sheets when it's chilly
  10. New Hope,Hwy 381 and East Paulding Drive....beside the Publix shopping center.
  11. My hope is that he will be too busy trying to sort out his legal troubles from attempted insurance fraud.
  12. I'm not buying gas or anything else at this station anymore. The station attendant was very unconcerned about the scam this guy was attempting to run on me, (his customer), and my insurance company. I don't know if he is simply a cashier, the manager or even the owner. He said he did not know the guy but when the Deputy asked him about it he produced the guys business card. Makes me wonder what else he is up to. I fill up 3 cars at that station 2 times a week. I use credit cards and debit cards and often go inside and use my cards. I'm not comfortable doing that anymore.
  13. Just a heads up........This afternoon around 4:30 my 16 year old son was pumping gas when he was approached by a man pushing his windsheild repair services. My son declined but the guy insisted it was free and wanted to give a demonstration. My son was driving my car and it has no damage to the windshield of any kind. The guy put some strips of tape on my windshield and then asked my son a few questions he should have never answered....who is your insurance with and what is your name. Then he asked to see the insurance card. My son is 16 and had no idea that he should not have been showing thi
  14. My husband was laid off from his job of 25 years in January of this year. Since that time I have been looking for a job. The last job I had was 16 years ago (ironically....I handled unemployment claims for the State of Georgia). I left that job to stay home with a new baby. Of the 100's of jobs I have applied for I have been granted 1 interview. I was graciously told by that potential employer that I was not qualified for that position and that another candidate had been chosen to mop their floors. I waited for hours to speak with someone at the Department of Labor in hopes of applying for one
  15. Talked with Travis Tritt back in my Miss Kitty's days before he was famous. Super nice guy
  16. I've been a stay at home mom for the past 16 years. I put everything I have into raising my boys and making them into good people. Now I am ready to push forward with "my" life. I want a job I can be passionate about but I can't seem to convince a potential employer to look at me seriously in that I haven't worked in the past 16 years. I cannot wait for someone to give me the opportunity to be passionate about a job.
  17. With the cool temps comes my cravings for comfort food...chili, spaghetti, lasagna, chicken pot pie, etc. But those things make my butt big. I'm trying hard to stick to my low carb plan so tonight is steaks on the grill and edamame. Dessert is low carb lemon cheesecake with whipped topping.
  18. I love how the simple things can bring about a feeling of comfort or evoke a long kept memory. Here are a few of mine.... I love how my hardwood floors feel beneath my bare feet....cool and stable. They are soft with wear from the footsteps of my children who are now grown. ♥ The sound of slapping windshield wipers on a rainy day drive. The sweet smell of muscadines still on the vine and the memory rush I get of my childhood from the simple act of popping one in my mouth. The rare sound of a whippoorwill in the dusk of the evening. Sitting on the swing by my pond while the
  19. Went to see Curtis Carlin, (Caped Crusader), about lowering my home owners insurance cost. He made me a very happy girl
  20. I always wanted to learn how to ride a horse and to care for them. Wish they had horse camp for 47 year olds
  21. HaHa....love it !!! I need a few of those.
  22. It's a spa day for my pups.....nice peppermint baths, full pedicures, ear hairs plucked, and a spritz of Loves Baby Soft cologne. Then a nap for them in their cozy, clean beds and a bit of shopping for me.
  23. My son chose this song by Faith Hill. I cried like a baby
