I'm looking to buy a Jeep soon and want to modify it a bit. Anyone have any recommendations for a local place or person that does suspension lifts?

I am so over the snow! My pups are dirty and in need of their weekly grooming session but it is futile in this sort of mess.

I love the Atkins Diet. My favorite thing about it is that you don't always feel hungry and it takes much less food to satisfy your hunger. I've gone from a size 16 to a size 9. I am maintaining my weight loss by sticking to the plan 6 days a week. Saturday night is mexican and margarita night.....yummy!! I am a carb addict and this diet has finally freed me of that monkey on my back. Off to the kitchen now to make me some low carb hot cocoa.

Dr Bowen is wonderful. He takes care of my Shih Tzu babies. He has a Shih Tzu of his own and is very good with small breed dogs. Love him!

Do you leave your kids in the car alone?
chynnapink replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My boys are grown but when they were little I never left them in the car alone. Now I have a granddaughter that I take care of and she is never left alone in the car either. Heck I won't even leave my dogs in the car alone. It's just easier to take them with me than to worry about some nut taking them. -
Regarding the Atkins plan ; ketosis is only a factor on the induction part of the diet which last 2 weeks in which you keep your carbs under 20 grams. In the other phases of the diet you gradually increase your carbs. Most peoples opinion of the Atkins diet is based on the induction part of the diet. The other phases are important in understanding how the plan works.

You can google George Stella's low carb recipes. The onion rings I don't eat too often. Just when I'm feeling the need for something deep fried. The cheesecake can be frozen in single serving sizes. I top it with sugar free strawberry jello and whipped cream (the kind in the can). You can also make peanut butter cookies that can be frozen as well. I've also made low carb pizza and low carb broccoli, cheese and chicken casserole that were all very good. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/george-...cipe/index.html I use this recipe for the cheesecake but I don't put a crust/base on m

I use the Dr. Atkins plan as a guideline for my free foods. I do include some of the Atkins products in my daily meals. Love the Atkins coconut bars (very similar to a Mounds candy bar) and I drink the shakes on occasion. I don't use many sugar free products....those are not low carb in most cases. My daily meals consist mostly of protein and a veggie that is on the list of allowable veggies in the Atkins book. Snacks are Atkins bars, nuts, or sugar free jello with whipped topping. I make low carb onion rings, and low carb cheesecake. I use many of George Stella's low carb recipes.

I have tried counting calories, low fat and exercise. But couldn't stick to any of it because I felt like I was starving to death and I hate the working out. I've been doing low carb now since the end of March and have gone from a tight size 16 to a size 6. You lose weight in a different way on a low carb plan. Because I am not supplying my body with carbs for energy it is using my fat stores for energy resulting in weight loss and inches gone. The best part of this plan is that I don't experience much hunger but if I am hungry I can eat without limits as long as I don't eat carbs. I treat m

Love these... This is not Tim McGraw. It's a song called "Rush" by Ferras.

I am so sorry about your dad. Praying for you all. I am Lukas, Justin & Cody's mom.

Just read of the passing of James. The Clark family were my neighbors for a very long time. My heart breaks for them. They are all in my thoughts and prayers.

We are all staying close to the pool. -
Did you use the Hartz shampoo or the drops? The shampoo you used should be fine to get the hartz off of him. In the future just use the Dawn to remove any fleas. MY SIL had this happen to her dog and she was fine after they got the stuff off of her.

I've heard a number of complaints about Hartz flea products. If you have used one of these on your dog you need to bathe him ASAP. I don't use flea shampoos. I use original (not the Ultra) Dawn dishwashing liquid. It kills fleas on contact. Hope your dog is okay.

Your day sounds like heaven! I only have one grandbaby so far. She is only 5 months old but I can hardly wait until she can walk and talk and wear me out. She is staying the night with me and is sound asleep in her crib.....can't wait till she wakes up.

I'm getting there. I'm 46 years old and went from a very tight size 16 to a loose size 10 in the last 4 months. I'm a much nicer person to be around when I am comfortable with me and the way I look. I can honestly say that I like the me I am now better than the me I was at 20.

I have an old red sweatshirt of my dads. When I was young we lived in Daytona Beach. He would always wear this shirt when we walked down the beach. If I ever got cold he would take it off and put it on me. I can still remember how it smelled. Sometimes I wear it when I'm feeling like I need my Daddy. Silly huh ?

Nope not one song. Phil Collins...it's just the sound of his voice that I have no appreciation for. Same goes for the twangy sound of Jennifer Nettles voice. Slipknot just sounds like growling to me.
-
As far as songs....Steve Winwood's "Higher Love". Station 98.5 cannot go one 24 hour period without playing this horrible song. I hate anything by Phil Collins, Sugarland, or Slipknot. There are others but this is all I can think of at this time.

Here's the recipe if you want to compare. Hubby has the sauce simmering and it taste just like what we had at Stoney River. http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/story.asp?s=5428865 Here is the recipe for the fudge cake if anyone is interested. It's a really simple cake and so goooood! I added more chocolate chips than the recipe calls for. http://projects.eveningedge.com/recipes/ch...e-stoney-river/

We recently went to a restaurant called Stoney River. They had an appetizer called Whiskey Shrimp on country toast that I just could not get enough of. So I looked around online and found the recipe for it as well as the fudge cake they serve. So that's what we are having. I've already had a piece of the fudge cake w/ vanilla ice cream and hotfudge and it was yummy. Can't wait for the shrimp!

I gave my 3 a quiet moments tablet at about 7pm. It's helped some but they are still a bit nervous. I'll be glad when my neighbors run out of fireworks.
