Sounds like someone has learned to make oxygen acetylene balloons. Hope they don't blow themselves up, those suckers can be dangerous. Friend used to make very small ones, like 5" ballons every forth of July. Sounded like a half stick of dynamite going off.

Mr Winters is a brave man to face up the Heath dirty campaign machine. Anyone found a website or anything for him? All I can find is a reference that he is a Hiram "Businessman" If he's actually a conservative Democrat, I might just be able to vote in that race, otherwise I'm sure I'd puke in the booth trying to vote for Heath. With David Bond and Tony Crowe in the other races that I can vote in looks like I'm going to have to do some serious study to figure out if any are worth my vote. Gonna be interesting to say the least.

Well, I consider this even scarier. Was this a trial run? Imagine a remote hijacker turning off all the communications packages, transponders, etc then taking over the computer controlled Fly by Wire controls and flying the plane wherever they want, landing, or crashing, it miles away from the safety of their desk. That's scary as heck. https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2013/11/18/2013-27343/special-conditions-boeing-model-777-200--300-and--300er-series-airplanes-aircraft-electronic-system

What on earth was that loud noise in New Hope?
The Sound Guy replied to lucky64's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I didn't hear it, but sounds like it was a sonic boom. if so, somebody in the air force is gonna be in trouble!! -
I'm no mechanic, but I would suspect that your power train module is burning out the sensors. I'm afraid to ask how much that would be to replace.

I've used Mike and his team did a great job. Our tank was in the backyard and downhill, they were still able to clean it completely. Even cleaned the outgoing filter I didn't know was there. He also did my Father in laws tank and gave them a great price on the extra tree root removal work needed as well as pumping my Dad's tank.

"Lost" in this case seems to mean, "We can't contact it". Which usually means "Lost" as is in down. Contact was lost 2 hours into an 8 hour flight, depending on the route, it looks probable it was in the South China Sea. Of course if they did screw up their navigation, the Chinese, Vietcong or someone may have just shot it down like the Soviets did that flight that Larry McDonald was on. If it went into the ocean, they may never find it. But then they found that Air France Jet in the middle of the Atlantic, so maybe there is a chance.

How To Attract New Businesses to Paulding County ?
The Sound Guy replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Heck, tax deals are one the major products of our general assembly. I can remember when half the amendments on every ballot were tax breaks of one kind or another, written up so strangely you couldn't tell what you were voting on. Some of the breaks currently in effect: I especially like this one, I can buy a 30 million dollar painting and not pay a dime of property tax as long as I place it in my business. Neat way to have a painting collect tax free you think? Anyway, to continue: So not only do commercial farms get subsidies to not grow food and price supports, -
If your mind is on remembering the 3 carts full of groceries you need I doubt they were stopping to read everything that is posted on the doors. There is so much advertising and carp on the doors now I usually just ignore them.

From the map, I don't think they control the Gas Station property. Even if it was a long term lease, I would expect the lease owner to be on the map and their is nothing for that area that pops up.

Berry College Eagle is not looking happy
The Sound Guy replied to The Sound Guy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Berry noted today that the experts feel the other egg is not going to hatch. Most of the facebook posts seem to think it was a coot. Duck, coot, fish, chipmunk, squirrel, it's whats for supper! Nature at the top of the food chain. I know with 2 Eagle nests on the campus, any small dogs I owned would be kept under cover for the time they are trying to fill up fuzzbutt. -
Slow-poke bill aims to stop left-lane lingerers
The Sound Guy replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My wife's cousin swears up and down that the left lane *is* the slow lane. He will run 55 in the left lane all the time. We have argued until we are blue in the face and he won't change his mind. Oh yea, will will run 55 *only* until he sees a cop, even on the other side of the freeway or on an access road, then he slows down to 45. Maybe if he gets hit with this it will finally wake him up. On a serious note, unless the law states how long you have to pass, there will always be a loophole that the driver can claim they are passing. (The signs state "Keep left unless passing") -
12K cameras to give Atlanta police broader window to city http://www.ajc.com/news/news/12k-cameras-to-give-atlanta-police-broader-window-/nd2Sh/ I'm soooooo glad they were able to watch the murder in living color. I'm glad the victim is so happy that the perp is on film... wait... Is this really the way we want to go? It seems to me that sometimes having more boots on the ground is more effective than spending big bucks to put the cameras in, then spending big bucks in maintenance (and vandalism repair, cause you KNOW these will be a target), then we have to spend more mone

My wife got nailed at that light a year or so ago for that same left turn. I swear they have that yellow set in the microsecond range and must make a fortune off that light.

Ah, but not if they borrow it from China first!! That is the Democrat's secret. See: Deficit spending In any case, this is one more story that the IRS rock solid facade is cracking and coming loose. Many have been fed the story that since the businesses are sending their W-2 info to the IRS and all those millions of forms that Obamacare required, that the computers of the IRS are actually capable of comparing that data to the tax forms and will flag false W-2s and incorrect data. Well somehow that don't seem to be happening. Over and over we read of people that put obviously fa

Agreed, I want the airport to be a success and if a small commercial operation will do that fine. However, having the county spend (or guarantee) many millions of dollars on an operation that may or may not cover costs to be is questionable. Have the BOC/AA place their business plan out here and show us how this is a good deal for the county. Besides, I still can't figure out why the rush. The economy and the tornado obviously had a serious impact on the revenue stream from the airport. A private field is still possible if we give it time for the business to grow. The FAA obviously

The way I read it, the school board is the ONLY elected official post that someone in the Bond business can lawfully hold. (i.e., bondsman cannot be an elected official, but School board is NOT considered an elected official by this part of the law) One another note, another scary part to me is the generic "All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed" that we see on most bills. Knowing the complete lack of review and study that 90+% of our elected official give the laws that they pass (See Obamacare) and the book sized complicated laws on the books (See Tax Code an

IBA amendment tabled 'until the next meeting'
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
You know, when I signed the purchase agreement for my house, I had contingency clauses in it for financing and all the other items that were not settled yet. I would have hoped that our elected official were bright enough to do the same when signing a contract based on approvals that had not been received yet and financing that had not been signed sealed and delivered. But it appears they were idiots. Every time we re-elect *anybody* in this county, they are absorbed into the "To hell with the law, I want it!" team. I think I really will vote against every single incumbent on the -
