Berry College Eagle is not looking happy

Worked the other way around for the SW FL eagles. E3 (the two chicks last year were E1 and E2) started pecking on E4 when it hatched and getting all the food, which it then choked on from overeating and died. E4 has been doing really well since, it is now 54 days old and doing "Wingersizing" to strengthen the wings and get ready to fly. there are some nice still shots of E4 and Mom/Dad on their facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/SouthwestFloridaEagleCam -
My wife and I have really enjoyed every show of theirs that we've been to since the reunion.

FYI -- New Mobile Pricing from one of the big boys
The Sound Guy replied to kcarlsonlpn's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Mine looked like that, indeed it had last months dates on it, but there was one line difference, on the bottom of it it has a mystery credit for about half the bill. Gotta love AT&T accounting (or lack of it) system. -

Ah, ok, then one (or more) weird bill may be expected. Since it's much lower than I expected, I'll just wait and see. Thanks. FYI, this months bill is just over half of the old bill. Now that might include an extra weeks credit from the previously billed/paid cycle (since we are billed in advance) but with no details available on the "Payment" I obviously don't know for sure. -
The toll road proposed last year (or was it the year before?) would have helped a LOT in inviting business here since it would have given us high speed access to both I-20W and I-75N. Heck I would have been inclined to support the county helping pay for an exit to 278 if it wasn't in the original plan just for the access. That access would have helped a LOT in building a industrial base. Shoot it would have made quicker access to the Sports center for that matter and would have made South Paulding to be a valid destination for people there. I can't remember which BOC shot it down f

Anyone got their first bill yet under the new plans? I've gotten my first ebill, but it's a mess, still showing me the old plan charge$$$ for Jan rather than Feb, but with a $148 *payment* I never made crammed in with no explanation of how they came up with that number. My actual Feb payment of $300+ is nowhere to be seen, but somehow they have used this info to generate my March bill which is now like $40 less than I expected. Makes no sense at all, and indeed, I'm used to that with AT&T's billing every time I make a change, but this is stranger than normal, even for them. -

Yes, I saw it mentioned it on the "Berry College Eagles" Facebook page. Interesting that a owl would want to mess with a 3 ft long Mama Eagle. Wish the camera was set up for sound, Mama was telling that owl off after the fly by! -

How Come? If you are not for commercialising the Airport

OK, I can see why that would be a sore spot for you. $1200 Ouch. -

Ok, granted you might not be pushing them but Pubby has stated several times that Charters are what would support the people headed to the Sports complex since the odds of us having scheduled flights to/from the city that has a team that wants to come to the complex to play are between slim and anorexic. (It could happen, so I won't say no chance) Pubby is also the one pushing 737s landing there which I also don't see happening. (Runway go snap crackle pop) Vacation destination flights are the ONLY thing I can see being successful there. The question is does the job potential from t -
All paid for by dollars out of my pocket. You can't tax us to prosperity. It don't work.

Because if it's "only" 30 seconds from the airport location to 278, then I guess it's only 30 seconds from the ORIGINAL PLANNED LOCATION to the Airport right? Why the big deal over 30 seconds in the OTHER direction? And the 278 location avoids citizen response time being delayed due to any congestion on the airport road. Also: If my property was condemned for a "Fire Station" and then the county "Changed their minds" and tried to sell it for a DIME more than I received for the property, then I would be in court in a New York Minute asking for the difference in price since the new

Hmmm... I'm wanting to do some other activities while my kid is playing. Where am I going to want to be? Let's see, Paulding County walking trail (of which I am sure the sports complex will have many) which is 30-40 minutes away down roads I'd need a GPS to keep track of or maybe ... look there.... what is that big blue thing on the map next to the sports facility? Oh yea, Alatoona lake and Corps of Engineer properties. Red Top Mountain, boat rentals, Campgrounds, cabins, swimming etc. Well, wait, what is that on the map in North Paulding... Richmond Creek something... What's thi -
And Kennesaw is #10 and they MAKE you own a gun there!

Yea, I think Whitey went a little off the tracks with those comments. The issue to me is still: 1) IF Commercial Air Traffic *from our location* is viable at all. It's not like it's easy to get to here from over 90% of the population of the Atlanta area. Where are all these passengers to one or two destinations going to come from? Why drive an extra hour or so here instead of Hartsfield-Jackson? 2) What does happen if #1 is not true? No airline can afford to run money losing flights for months on end. Is the county on the hook for the cost of the improvements with no additi

We blew about $125 on a meal for the 2 of us, but we cheated, I had a gift card from work.

I've purchased some from Checks Unlimited. Not a bad experience, be ready to mail them a blank check the first time so they can be sure you are really you. i.e., don't wait to the last minute. However, after that first time, your discount goes away and they have lots of gouge fees and add on's to make it not that much cheaper than the banks will do it for. (at least it seemed pretty close to my bank.) I finally said screw it and went back to ordering from the bank. YMMV

Mine is the same way, one computer is fine, the other has nothing. I think it has to do with caching, if you don't use the computer a lot, the old code (with the working goodies) is still on it. The one I don't browse on a lot still works. But that's just my guess.

Do you have the Cable Co, people call Crapcast?

You may find moving to AT&T being moving from frying pan to fire. I've had DSL for 14 years here and the last six months it's gone downhill. Random DNS outages, service slowdowns, 30 second outages, you name it. Sigh. I just want a service to work if I'm paying $45 bucks a month for it. Dang. -

From what I read, Eaglet #1 has roughly one more week to go. However, I wonder if the cold may have slowed the development and it may be a day or so longer than usual. From the facebook page for the Eagles: "We hope all of you are enjoying the incubation period for the Berry College Eagles. February 18 will be the 35th day of incubation for the first egg. Hatching could take place a few days earlier or a few days later. Our parents seem to be doing a good job on the nest, even bringing in additional nest material. Thanks to all of you for posting fabulous pictures and sharing our stre -

The Nest is looking ok this morning, but the approach cam is showing that either the tree it's on is leaning quite a bit or the Nest Tree (or both) are very loading and leaning. <Hoping that sunshine they are predicting gets here quickly!> -
Does anyone know if stores at New Hope are open?
The Sound Guy replied to AdamnAarens Mom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My son's store is trying to open, (it's one in Cobb) I would definitely call the store to see if they are going to be able to open. Not sure how much they will have to sell since few trucks have/will get through however. -

Just took a look at Mama, really snowing on her now, you can see all of it coming down. Papa is on the branch to the right of the screen, you can just see his tail sticking down, I guess he is passing the storm there. The approach cam has gone dark, I guess snow covered the lens, so can't tell how much snow/ice load the tree seems to have. Hope they are ok. I read in the blog that because they are a protected animal, no one is allowed to get anywhere near the nest even to help. It's though that the pair had already lost one nest to a storm because their first year they starte
