  1. I've had it happen on my work PC. The tab opened and my anti virus went off. Unfortunately it didn't block it in time, I spent the next 2 days trying to kill it. It appeared to be in one of the ads on the page.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised to find that Phoenix is flying them into country,, they have the planes equipped with the proper isolation chambers and crazy pilots/flight nurses.. I doubt seriously that the people are on board the plane when it lands back here. There is no place to take them to close to here. I just read that the news cameraman is flying over and I seem to recall that all the crew were to be in isolation since they worked in close quarters. I suspect that is your eight people. I just hope they burn the isolation tent properly.
  3. So you are saying that all the Doctors, nurses and other health workers that have gotten Ebola over there have all licked their hands clean since that's the only way to get it? That is one of the most silly things I've ever seen you write. There is a vector here they haven't found yet.
  4. He was the one that mentioned it as a viable solution to epidemics, I didn't say it was his invention. The point is that destroying every animal, blasting the area with anti viral agents, composting all the remains and blocking access to the area for a period of time is the equivalent of nuking the place. As far as "presumption is all are infected" that is pretty much what the Liberians did when they fenced off that slum and said no one comes out.
  5. Surepips chicken house solution, I e foam it and kill them all is the equivalent of nuking it all.
  6. It's easy. Make it a 21 day quarantine for anyone entering the country. We have plenty of closed military bases to hold them in. Charge them 100 dollars a day for the stay. That way only people who really really need to overseas will. Or surepips solution to nuke em till they glow.
  7. That looks like the apartments in Hiram as well that my FIL and MIL are in.
  8. So Pubby's solution is to take our money and give it to them until they stop shooting. Great solution.
  9. Pubby - Ever read the John Ryan Novel where the ebola was released in the US? Yea, the sensible bunch would obey, but in the housing projects where they don't trust "the man"? Ain't gonna happen. They will run like heck and infect half the country.
  10. Now to burn up the the huge piles of limbs and shrub trimmings that have built up all summer! Yea!
  11. Since he's from out of country, I guess we the taxpayers are going to be paying for all the isolation and all the other treatments. The bills are going to be incredible. .
  12. The kittycat that used to be on here?
  13. Ter - freaking - rific. I've spent the last 2 weeks in Dallas, TX and was flying in/out of DFW to Atlanta. Hope his flight didn't connect through Atlanta as the same plane goes back and forth, several times a day. They don't clean the seats between flights that well. I have to wonder, why in the heck would anyone go to Africa voluntarily now anyway? Is this a test to remove idiots from the gene pool?
  14. Deer are supposed to be color blind as well. That's why you can wear yellow camo and its' just as effective as green and you are much less likely to be shot by some idiot shooting at anything brown/green that moves.
  15. I'll have to say that I fly 20-30 times a year and I'll be using Hartsfield every single time. It's just not worth it to take a flight from an airport with no alternatives if there is a failure of some kind just to save 30-45 minutes driving. We are too far away from the population centers on the East side for this thing to last more than a couple of months if they ever get it started. Of course, by that time, we'll be left holding the bag (or the bonds) for all the improvements when propeller goes bankrupt or shuts down and changes their name to get out of the contract payments.
  16. It's not totally clear, but it seems that this idiot got ticked off because his neighbor was taking some aerial pictures of the house next door that was under construction and then proceeded to fire a shotgun at it several times. http://philadelphia.cbslocal.com/2014/09/30/new-jersey-man-accused-of-shooting-down-neighbors-remote-control-drone/ Ok, if it's over MY house, taking pictures of ME, then that is one thing, but over the house next door? What on earth would make someone think that shooting it down would be a good idea? I'm really beginning to believe this quote
  17. I found this version of the test at http://www.color-blindness.com/farnsworth-munsell-100-hue-color-vision-test/#prettyPhoto Yep, I have issues. It says red, but there is a pretty big spike at green as well.
  18. LOL funny you should mention that, I was getting dressed this morning to go out to lunch with my wife when she looked at my selections and started shaking her head. Turned out the "Brown" shorts I though I had were actually green and didn't go with the Blue shirt.
  19. I'm seriously color blind, mainly Green, but some extent for the other colors as well. (In the generic color blind test, the only one I can pick out is the sample one at the start of the set. ) I do see colors, but it's nothing like other people describe. I have a lot of trouble with subtle shade differences. A blue/green car will look just blue to me. A green traffic light and the streetlights around it look the same color. I have to be careful at night and make sure I find the actual traffic signal. In the first grade, I had a lot of purple skies as well as blue ones.
  20. I will say that even "safe" sites are not immune from attacks. The zillion ad servers out there can can attacks slide into the ads, I had one attack when the ad was loaded, I didn't even have to click on it. A good antivirus program is a requirement. Also, make sure you run those programs in sequence over and over until they all come up clean. Just running them once may not be enough.
  21. They were silly about it, but it seems that most of the time it will work. Like the woman out in Oregon last year that filed a 3 million fake return and asked for the 2.1 million dollar refund from the state on a debit card. She got it. The only reason she was caught was that she lost the flippin' debit card TWICE and the second time someone finally got suspicious about why someone would want a 2 million dollar debit card. Duh. All of the supposed "computer" support the state and federal income tax services have and all the paperwork the govt forces businesses to fill out and then th
  22. I second Malwarebytes. I liked it so much I bought a full copy. No yearly fee. However, there are some virus that are so bad that your only response is to wipe it and re-install the OS. We ended up doing that with my son's machine a few months ago. I highly recommend windows defender as well for virus protection if you don't want to pay for a private package.
  23. Troop 1916 sold it today in north paulding.
  24. Hey Ya'll, hold my beer and watch this!! Famous last words...
  25. Sounds like a normal sale to me, but without seeing the map of where they are clearing it's hard to tell. Now, they may be selling this portion to gain funds since they are making less than they are spending (perhaps due to the airport costs), but that's another argument.
