Liberty Under Terrorist Attack, In Paris France.

Interesting points. I have to admit that I don't know intimate details of the teachings of the Koran. I am glad to see a moderate Muslim calling out the leaders of the violent sects and would like to see more Muslims do so. His words made me think back to the Christmas day aboortzion clinic bombings that the perp referred to as "a gift to Jesus on his birthday." I doubt that many condemned all Christians because of that attack. -

I lost a lot of respect for the French when they prevented our strike force on Libya in 1986 from crossing over their airspace and the guys had to add a couple of hours of flight time each way (1300 miles) even though Gaddafi had also directed terrorist activity against France. Since Spain denied the overflight as well, I'm not too fond of them either. And I just read that Italy claimed they were the ones that called Gaddafi and warned him the attack was coming. And the European nations wonder why we don't trust them and won't give them full details ahead of time. At least Franc -

I think the media has been given a big dose of reality when they started being killed when reporting in the mideast that they were not going to be given a free pass in a Muslim country. They have finally figured out that the freedoms here do not extend to the rest of the world and there are those who don't worship at the court of public opinion. -
Wonder if we'll get #3? Even though I read the other pair at Berry was able to raise three successfully, I'm kinda hoping this pair holds it to two. Watching the Fla eagles lose one of their chicks was kinda heartbreaking last year. (or was it the year before?)

The situation kinda reminds me of a sig that someone had on here once: "Blessed are the Peacemakers. But sometimes peacemaking means taking a big stick and beating the crap out of those that won't keep the peace" -
As I mentioned in another thread...

I wonder how many of those muslims that won't say anything are afraid they will be killed by the radicals. -
I found this pretty interesting. I admire the activist for being willing to look at the issue from the police side. I felt his last quote: "I didn't understand how important compliance was, but after going through this; yes my attitude has changed, this happens in 10-15 seconds. People need to comply for their own sake," is very important for people to understand. It's not personal, the police don't want to shoot people, (well most of them), but they want to go home safe at the end of the shift as well. Full Story

Teen age to put name on title of car?
The Sound Guy replied to Zippity Doo Dah's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Note that even if you dual title it, you may lose some benefits depending on the order of the names. We titled my daughters car with her first, then me, and State farm dropped some of the discounts because I wasn't primary owner on it. I would beware and discuss with your agent before making any moves. -

The government has required for years that employers submit W-2 as well, but that hasn't prevented people from lying and saying that they had $450,343 and income with $238,030 withheld and asking for a $100K refund and getting it with no questions asked. It's becoming obvious that the IRS is no where near as computerized and all knowing as we've been led to believe.

Wow just before the coldest day this year. keep that egg warm mama!

All they have to do is lie and say yea, they had coverage. How the heck will the government know otherwise?

Petco pulls Chinese treats amid fears they sickened pets
The Sound Guy replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Haven't bought any treat for my dog that said "Made in China" on the back for several years. If they would poison baby formula, you can be sure the Chinese wouldn't give a dang about poisoning our dogs. -
Reading the reviews, I saw the wireless range to be a common complaint. How well does yours operate?

I need a new router myself. I end up replacing them every couple of years. They just don't make $19 routers the way the used to...

LMAO. Poor babies. Typical Liberal institution, wants "the others" to pay for all the stuff they think should be free. All those professors having problems making ends meet at $95,000 a year. They should take an economics class and learn "There is no such thing as a free lunch"

Friend of my dads would come over every July 4th with a big bag of oxygen acetylene balloons made with his welding rig. Little balloons made BIG bangs. -
Happy new year everyone! Mine's starting off great, just got a fraud alert on one of my credit cards trying to be used at a Wally World in Woodstock. Oh Joyous day.

Guns don't kill 2 year old with guns do.
The Sound Guy replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I suspect it was a revolver, many people carry them as they are more reliable than an automatic, but most (if not all) have no safety and they may be double action, allowing them to be shot with only a single trigger pull. Because of that reason, when my oldest hit 2 years old, I sold every revolver I had in the house and installed trigger locks on the automatics, even though it would be years before the kids were strong enough to overcome the spring pressure to load them. -

It's like those that want say "I just forgot I had it" when carrying a gun through security and can't understand why they are arrested. If you have a weapon on your person, you should NEVER forget you have it. The BB gun thing I have mixed feelings on. A BB gun, while not a high powered weapon, is not a toy and should not have been played with as such. I wandered all over the woods with my BB guns as a kid with no issues, but then I didn't play in a park and point it at people either. If it wasn't getting so common for parents to have their kids to get there hands on real wea -
The free market in action. The Arabs/OPEC thought they had total control of the market and raised the price where they felt they could gouge plenty of money from the rest of the world. The world responded by finding new sources and using rigs to drill new wells while OPEC make it economical. With the oil price this low, there is no economic justification to find more wells and drill more. Therefore, the drilling rigs are shutting down. Drilling is expensive.

Agreed. There is a responsibility to maintain access/control of the firearm that comes with the right to carry it. Too many discuss the right to carry without thinking about the responsibility. I imagine she never even thought about the pistol being in the bag when she put it next to her son. Sounds like those people who forget there are guns in there bags when going through security at the airport. It also sounds like it was a double action revolver. While very reliable, I sold every revolver I owned when my first kid hit 2/3 YO because they were too easy to shoot by a child who ga
