Seems there was some disagreement about what is legal and what isn't. I think it could end up being a good question and one I want the answer to just out of curiosity if for no other reason. Thanks for posting the article.

Great, new next step in anti-gun control...

Pubby would give us all Bullets! Oh wait maybe he would refuse to give us any!  -
You do know that the guy who championed the bill to do away with incandescent bulbs (-®Harold Rogers of Kentucky) now says he will try to repeal it. If that happens can you still save the schools money? I would love to see some savings in areas like this.
-
If that is the case I did not read about it. I can certainly ask the new AG what he thinks though. I am very courious about it now.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what they do. I know that there was a question about keeping pre-K in the last budget. It was decided that it should stay for the time being and Sonny made that call if I remember correctly.

I like Heinlein's quote better and agree with it a lot more. I know a lot of folks who carry and trust me they are not scared, -

I love this quote: An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life. Robert A. Heinlein. -
I think the key words and the ones that tell us who has the authority to decide which programs (of those that are listed) will be funded are the following: and the Governor shall make specific recommendations as to educational programs and educational purposes to which said net proceeds shall be appropriated

Tell that to the students at GT who have been beaten and robbed in the last year! Churches are another place that have been hit by gun toting crazies. They may not have been able to hurt so many folks if one of the good guys had been carrying. -
It did not include pre-K. That was added later and it can be removed if it is necessary to save the original program which was intended to allow deserving kids a chance to go to college.

Sonny vetoed the Bill that the Legislature passed to allow this. Deal will sign it. May have a bearing. -
She is beautiful!!

No we don't have to raise taxes. We just need to stop trying to do all things for all students and get back to just educating them. Throwing money at it has not worked up to this point. Pre-K is part of the lottery funded system and I think hard choices are coming about that. More kids need to avail themselves of it because their parents can't afford to send them to college any more. Studies have shown that pre-K seems to benefit the children up to the 3rd or 4th grade level and then it seems the benefits disappear. A lot of money spent for that kind of result. Link to report on that s

Thought there was something out there about remedial classes not being covered under the hope scholarship any longer. That program is in trouble. The cuts to education in general were not addressed specifically. I think they may have to consider doing away with the pre-K program.

Prayers said. I am so sorry.

I think Audry's Cafe was broken into just before Thanksgiving. Wonder if they are the same folks?

I hope this solves the problems for Mill Point residents and others in Paulding. I have been very concerned about them. I hope they recover their stolen property and can get over the fear and anxiety that this must have caused. I also hope these folks get the book thrown at them.

Love Dexter! I can't think of a way he is going to wiggle out of getting caught with blood on his hands this season.

Sonny vetoed a Bill to allow citizens to carry in more places. Senate Bill 291.
-
Then you will like what our new Governor may do to extend the rights of the citizens to bare arms in Georgia. Where Sonny vetoed Deal won't! It looks like the folks need to be able to defend themselves in more places these days.

Amen!!! People who defend Obama Care either don't understand it or don't care if they force doctors to work for free. That is a form of theft in my opinion.

You mean they are trying to figure out how to rephrase their lie so it will be believable to more of the gullible? -

Thanks. I will be there. -
Be careful with that thing. I saw a guy this week on the news who said his droid exploded and he seemed to be really hurt. Hope he did not lose part of his ear. Thanks for clearing that up.
