Apparently Big Sis backed off of the procedures we are speaking of. Link: http://www.prisonplanet.com/drudge-fought-the-tsa-and-drudge-won.html

:clapping: :clapping: I suspect they would ONLY if they fit a terrorist PROFILE!
-
I don't think it should be based on last names alone. There are other factors that go into profiling and they should be used. Doctors are coming forward now to speak about the spreading of disease and sickness during these pat downs. They are a bad idea for a lot of reasons.

Don't forget to vote Tuesday, November 30!

It is extremely important! -
You may have discussed it and decided that it won't work but that does not mean that it wouldn't. It just means that in your opinion it would not. I still believe that they are unconstitutional and since a lawsuit has been filed on that basis I expect we will find out what the court's view of it is.

I think the founding fathers would be looking at those sympathetic with the British and not those who were loyal Patriots. Profiling should be done instead of making ALL Americans guilty until proven innocent. It works for the Israelis.

They don't make sense in the economy we have now. Are those in control in Washington trying to drive the states into bankruptcy with their unfunded mandates? Just asking. -
Amen!

You should! You are one of the richest people I know! More friends than you can count and a reputation that says you are loved and respected. Yes, we know how rich you are. -
I heard that this morning. She seems to be a bright capable woman. Smart enough to figure out that Obama was not living up to his promises. I sure hope she gets another job quickly. Ask me if I think this was a coincidence?

It's not the laptop that's squirly. It's all those great meds you are getting. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

You must have missed my posts then. That is what I have said all along. Our Founding Fathers must be turning over in their graves about now. I said this in the other thread on this subject: To paraphrase Ben Franklin: People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both.
-
Good for you!! I hope there are some folks like you in my neighborhood.

Had a friend who built a new home in Pickett's Mill years ago. She had burglar bars put on all basement windows. It just made for more protection. I don't think we are in a highly dangerous area but we are no longer in Mayberry either. Blaming the Commission and the SO for these break ins is not productive. Blaming the crooks, catching them, and sending them to jail is the productive thing to do. The only other choice you and I have is to make our homes as safe as we possibly can.

Nope those things do not include groping by strangers. They do not include the groping of our children and grandchildren. There is a point that crosses the line. I have drawn mine. I won't pay the air lines money to have this done. I will encourage my family and friends to drive, take a train, take a bus, or take a boat. I have not changed my stand on this either. I am against the Patriot Act and that is what started this. I thought Obama was going to get rid of it. Instead it has progressed to being touched in private places by strangers.

I agree. I agree with Lucky64 too. If the motive behind calling the News folks is to get the message out to people so they can be on the look out then I think it might help. If it is to talk about any failure on the part of the SO then I would disagree at this stage. I am sure they are doing all that they can given the resourses they have. Good locks on windows and doors, strong doors, in some cases burglar bars, and an alarm system would all help to deter the thieves. I feel so bad for the folks who are going through this.

To paraphrase Ben Franklin: People willing to trade their freedom for temporary security deserve neither and will lose both. I believe this and that is the biggest reason these so called pat downs should not be happening. Give up your rights and freedom as an American. I will not fly. They need to profile and stop targeting folks that they have no probable cause to target.
-
I have mixed feeling about it too. The SO can't be every where at once. They caught the tire slashers and I believe they will get these guys too. I wonder if the homes that have been hit have alarms? Neighborhood watch is very effective and may be the the best answer right now.. I would be in a panic if I lived there.
-
I got her just a few minutes ago. She has been getting a Thanksgiving meal together and did not know. She was off to call the hospital ASAP.
-
I don't intend to fly but if there were a family emergency I might have to fly. I do not want to give up my rights under the Constitution as a law abiding citizen. This needs to be challenged in court. I have a feeling it will be.

So it is better to target all of us instead of those most likely to commit an act of terrorism? I don't think so!
