  1. I was thinking that too. Was showing my husband the food thinking it was at Audrey's. Then saw it was Vito's Cafe.
  2. I thought they were alternating shows with him one week and Jeff Goldblum the next. Didn't think they had cut him out completely. I think SVU has gotten so boring so I have only watched a couple of episodes this season.
  3. I have to agree with NC here. My daughter did G.S. last year and I was co-leader of her troop. It seemed the major emphasis was on the cookie sales. They have charts online showing what percentage the troop actually receives from the sale and have received since the G.S. began selling cookies. It's ridiculous how little the troop actually gets. When it first started a much larger percentage actually went to the troops to use for activities, trips, etc. The service unit coordinator for our troop even said in one of the meetings that one of the purposes of G.S. is to help the girls become
  4. Both of my children, ages 7 and 4, each have a television in their room. They never watch them though unless they want to watch a video (since the 4-year-old's T.V. has a VCR) which is a rare occasion. They tend to watch T.V. in the living room while playing with legos or running around playing Star Wars.
  5. A couple of years ago, Home Depot had a set of them on Black Friday that also came with a pre-lit wreath and garland for $30. Never know, they might have something like that again. P.S., I get lots of compliments on my "goofy" set.
  6. Born in CA. Lived all over the place as a child due to my dad being in the military. Consider myself to be from Pensacola, FL since that is where I have spent the most time so far. Moved here in '05 with my husband and two kids. Like it here mostly, especially the climate and the people, but miss my church.
  7. If there was one closer, I would shop there. When we happen to be near one on the way home from somewhere else, we tend to stop there. Their milk has always been cheaper than anywhere else and I don't notice a difference in taste or anything. Their yogurt tastes much better to me than the store brand at Kroger. Love their green olives too. I also like the fact that check-out is quick because you get to bag it, which also ensures that I have things bagged exactly how I like them. Think the quarter deposit for a shopping cart is great. Really cuts down on carts left in the parking lot.
  8. Are you freaking kidding me? No I don't tip at the drive-through. Do you tip at drive-throughs? And whom would I tip? The person who handles the money and takes the order is only getting the drink(s) (you can see everything through the window). Heck, it'd be nice if everyone everywhere doing any kind of job got a tip wouldn't it, if we're going to go with your theory. Should I tip the guy who tapes down my rear windshield-wiper at the car wash? After all I am just driving through!! Should I tip the guys and gals at McDonald's? Yeah, noticed you scooped those fries extra nice-like into
  9. If this "upscale" barbecue place that has been mentioned is in fact Jim 'N Nick's, we have hardly ever had a good experience eating in the restaurant. For some reason, be it the food or the service, we don't have a good experience. We have learned that for some reason, when getting food through the drive-through, it tastes better and the menu seems to be a little cheaper. Also, no tip required. P.S., My husband worked a couple of years as a valet where his income was dependent on tips so we are very good tippers.
  10. I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner combo. Makes my hair feel soft, clean, and shiny. You can also purchase the shampoo and conditioner separately.
  11. My dad, a retired navy chief, uses the phrase "Going to send some junior officers out to sea." My husband sometimes says, "Taking some kids to the pool."
  12. This is why I JMT's posts. He can always so eloquently state what I cannot.
  13. I want to have chili but my husband keeps saying he is not in the mood for it. I even found a new recipe I want to try that sounds really good and we actually have all the ingredients on hand.
  14. I do Farmville, Restaurant City, Happy Aquarium, and Yoville. My name is Erin Hans if anyone wants to add me.
  15. This is what both of my kids have had. Took my oldest to the doctor on Wednesday and the doc said it was the same thing you mentioned. My youngest is a few days behind his sister. So far my husband and I haven't had it. For me, it seems like as long as I take my recovery drink after every time I work out (it has 750% of the recommended vitamin C) I avoid getting sick. I have been sneezed on, coughed on, and have forgotten a few times and eaten after them and haven't been sick.
  16. Mine are dressing up as Darth Vader and Princess Leia. Still working on the Leia costume though.
  17. My family and I drove by what looked to be within minutes of the tree falling. We were heading down Macland towards the McDonald's there on the corner and my husband said, "Hey one of those big trees fell!" That's when we realized that people were cutting through the parking lot of McD's to go around the accident and pulling out in front of us onto Macland. I was too shocked to take a picture with my phone. I was glad to see that it looked like everyone inside the vehicle was moving around and talking with the EMT's (or police, couldn't determine exactly which as I was focused on the car a
  18. Not trying to hijack here, but they also really need to do something about the light at the intersection of Memorial Drive and 61/Bus 6. The people turning left (heading toward downtown Dallas, the intersection right before the post office) which would take one by the bus barn and the Kroger at 61/278, have no left turn arrow. There is at least one accident a week there that I know of. I know of three that have happened to people in my subdivision, and I live in a small subdivision.
  19. I agree that the ingredients are great and really don't compare to others out there, but if it comes down to me putting gas in my car or clothes on my kids vs. me having a shake that might make me a little healthier (my husband and I are already following the P90X eating guidelines so I think we are doing pretty well) you can guess what choice I will make! My husband is a coach so we also get a small discount on products, but we already purchase the recovery drink for use after our workouts (which I was skeptical of at first too, but they really seem to make a difference) and the protein ba
