Paulding got whipped (again). It wasn't pretty, it wasn't close, it was just plain disappointing. The Homecoming was very nice though. Very classy and all the students looked great!

Has anyone posted pics of the huge sinkhole between Sav-A-Lot gas station and Baby Jane's?

That was a gutsy call for the Pats to go for the 2 point conversion. I had a great time at the game and I'm glad the Patriots won. I was excited for the homecoming queen for Haralson County. That was really a classy presentation on their part. I wish someone would post her photos and folks could see her.

I still catch myself "turn it up" whenever Sweet Home Alabama is on the radio. I don't know which song is my favorite, maybe Freebird.... or Tuesday's Gone.....or Call Me The Breeze.....maybe Simple Man ..... I could ramble off about 30 more, but I think folks know I love Lynyrd Skynyrd.......

The Food was AWESOME....... blackeye peas & cornbread with a slice of onion...along with a couple corn dogs and candy apples. I enjoyed all the arts and crafts too.....

I was at the Paulding County Patriot's game last night. Even though they came up short, the offense looked like they were moving the ball better and blocking better. The defense looked like they were tackling better too. A very good improvement. I'm confident they'll win next Friday at Haralson County. Did you see the size of Rome's marching band...? They had like 230 students and stretched nearly to both end zones.

The Paulding County Patriots lost to Woodland 39-28..... it was a pretty good game though.

How much did they raise it? Also, my property values went up, even though most property values went down. I inquired about an appeal, but sort of figured it was a waste of time. Does anyone know how much our taxes are going up? Also, did the School Board taxes go up as well?

I went to the web site, but couldn't tell how much my taxes will be going up.

Regardless of the prices, folks will some how be able to afford to buy sugar.

I like President Clinton and teh democratic party. When Clinton was in office, gas was cheep, groceries were affordable, we weren't in two wars, we weren't having to habla espanol, the stock market wasn't crashing, folks weren't faced with sky-high unemployment, etc. The GOP had 8 years to screw the works up and now they've left Reid, Pelosi & Obama a huge mess to clean up.

I like the Clinton's.

I agree. There have been many pro athletes convicted of things much worse than dog fighting, ( DUI/ Vehicular Homicide. Domestic Violence, etc.) yet they still play. I think he should be back in the NFL and I'd like to see him win a Super Bowl. That might be one way he can get out of the "dog" house.

It's easy to make assumptions and judgements based on the initial media reports. Maybe folks should wait and see what the investigators conclude .

I get all cranked up each year around tax time. Federal, State & local taxes are too high and I just wonder when folks will boot the bandits out of office. Some who raised our taxes are democrats, some are republicans, but they all have stuck it to you & me! I called the county to ask why my property tax assessment went up this year while it seems most everyone else's went down. I'm irked.

Mine went up by a couple thousand bucks. For those who appealed, is it worth messing with or is it less headache just to pay the vultures and get over it?

Folks can grumble and cuss about the democrats, but when Slick Willie was in the white house and the Democrats ran the State of Georgia, we didn't seem to be in the mess we're in now. All this economic mess started under the leadership of the GOP and now folks like Purdue, & Ricahardson are going to raise our taxes to fill the gap? Right now a $300 increase in taxes is a lot of money to a lot of families.

I voted against all incumbents (except those unopposed)
