  1. That's too funny. Have you even considered voting for Barnes? or maybe Porter?
  2. Over the course of his eight years in office, Reagan spent $22.6 billion on his revived Drug War. Another major escalation was pushed through under George Bush, who spent $42.5 billion in a single term. Under Clinton, spending has continued to increase, with $16 billion for one year alone allocated in the 1998 fiscal budget. Those figures show federal spending only, not counting all unfunded mandates passed onto states. The government is spending $Billions and we are still losing the war on drugs. I'm not off my rocker. Somebody's getting filthy rich, while we're footing the bill.
  3. The drug cartels funnel huge amounts of money to the politicians, judges and police officials both in Mexico and here in the US. An occasional bust of a low level drug dealer is page one news as it makes the police look tough on crime. The bottom line is that government corruption is why the drug war is being lost. How can we spend $$$$Billions on the drug war and still lose? it's because they really aren't trying to win. The government knows who the cartels are, yet they won't attack them with every means available. There's too much money to be made. I believe car bombs will eventual
  4. Maybe Tracy1234 is a cop.... the folks at Arby's probably weren't hiring.
  5. Isn't it just heartwarming to know there are TWO good cops out there?
  6. The po-po won't hunt down the "bad people" you just mentioned, yet they don't mind writing you and your mama a ticket. Tickets generate revenue and the police needs some new equipment, so if the budget is a little tight, the sheriff will send out his deputies to shake down the folks by writing tickets while turning a blind eye towards criminals. It's all legal too.
  7. http://www.policeone.com/off-duty/articles/2057177-Pa-cop-charged-with-murder-in-off-duty-shooting/ PHILADELPHIA — Police Officer Rudolph Gary Jr. was fired and charged with murder yesterday for allegedly shooting to death, while he was off duty, the brother of his estranged wife Sunday night.
  8. http://www.ajc.com/news/nation-world/cops-could-face-death-569667.html Prosecutors say officers fabricated witness statements, falsified reports and planted a gun in an attempt to make it appear the shootings were justified. Many folks who blindly trust the Po-po don't go around celebrating many birthdays.
  9. There are many folks on this board who think the police are perfect and defend them no matter what they do. Granted, some cops are decent, however I also believe many are corrupt or just plain lazy when it comes to investigating crimes. From shake downs of hispanic suspects to steal their cash or taking kickbacks from drug dealers or other criminals. There needs to be citizen watchdogs to expose and root out the rampant corruption in our police force. How many innocent people are behind bars because they were convicted on shady evidence? I do not trust the police, whether they be in a
  10. http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE66763A20100709 A white former transit police officer was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in a videotaped shooting death of an unarmed black man last year in Oakland, California, sparking a wave of looting and destruction in the city on Thursday. Relatives of Grant, a young father who worked as a grocery store butcher, reacted with outrage. "My son was murdered, and the law hasn't held the officer accountable the way he should be," Grant's mother, Wanda Johnson, shouted outside the courthouse.
  11. I wonder how many folks got arrested by this guy. Was the "evidence" used to secure warrants against drug defendants tainted? Do their cases deserve to be dismissed? http://www.truecrimereport.com/2009/12/dc_cop_reggie_jones_charged_wi.php D.C. cop Reggie Jones was on duty two weeks ago, working for the city's gun recovery unit. But according to detectives, he was also serving as a lookout for a robbery attempt. When it was all over, one man was dead, and now Jones is in jail... Arvel S. Alston and at least one another man were part of a drug crew hoping to take out a riv
  12. http://www.ajc.com/news/paulding-deputy-arrested-after-564387.html A Paulding County Sheriff's deputy was arrested late Saturday night after SWAT was called out to his home, authorities told the AJC. The deputy is being held in an undisclosed detention facility pending charges from the GBI.

We saw the name Wincie on a grave marker there. I thought that was a pretty name and I don't recall ever hearing anyone with that name.
  14. http://www.ajc.com/news/cobb/cobb-cop-busted-on-556630.html?cxtype=rss_news Officer Jeremy Christopher Potts, 24, of Kennesaw, was then arrested and charged with possession of child pornography.... There is usually a thin blue line where folks support the police regardless of the situation. I'm glad to see a cop get busted. I don't trust the po-po. Never have and never will. NEVER TALK TO THE PO-PO http://police-misconduct.org/
  15. What does Obama have to do with King Jerry administration and the years of corruption by RBMD and the local GOP bosses? Sorry charlie, your posts don't make sense.
  16. I'll vote NO. I don't want those vultures to get one crying dime of mine to throw out the window. Do we really need more cops? We have way too many already.
  17. I don't want the guy STOUT to win, (his sexual relationship with his mother in law is the reason why) I don't want Jason to win, his vote for spousal benefits for same-sex couple while he was in Doraville is why! Also, I don't want Beverly to win (her past association with King Jerry is the reason why. )So, It's not that I'm for a particular candidate, I'm just against these two... Also, I'd like to recall all of the school board, but apparently there are many voters who love those lying, cheating, lowdown, crooked dirty dogs.
  18. The election results will thrill some of us and disappoint some of us. By the way, my name is Sue...how do you do?
  19. Why do smart buyers prefer stocks of good companies that have gone done in value? ( I like Tootsie Roll stock, it has paid dividens for decades and will continue to do so. Income Investors think long term. Buy and hold the stocks, get great dividends. the market has historically like dividend paying stocks better than non-dividend paying stocks. Same for homes. Buy while they're cheep, hold them for at least 8 years, collect average rent and sell down the road when the prices go back up. Duh! Right now is a GREAT time to invest in homes in Paulding County. We're not talking slums either
  20. He'll be doing interviews with the far-right whackos like Sean Hannity and Rush.
  21. Anytime my taxes go DOWN, I do celebrate. Devaluation is great for buyers who can pick up extra real estate at cheaper prices. I for one love to buy houses...bunches and bunches of houses. Fix them up and make rentals out of them which will provide an income for my kids and grandkids for years to come. I don't have the nerve to fool with commercial properties though. I won't be selling any properties for the next few years though. As far as this election goes, I pretty much am against the SPLOST and I don't like that guy named Jason Anavarte.
