Good grief that's only five miles from my house. I live off of Vinson Mtn Road just inside Polk Co. I wonder what the hell happened. I'm so glad I decided to work from home this morning and delay going into the office until the afternoon. I would have been driving through there right around that time as I do most days. That just scares the crap out of me.

WOW...you are something else Will Avery. Hell I don't know you personally and I'm grinning ear to ear with pride that people like you exist among us. Good show. Keep that humble and grateful attitude and you'll succeed no matter what. Keep up the good fight.

It was an incredible outpouring of support of which I was very proud to share a small part. LPPT deserves a HUGE THANK YOU. You did an amazing job. I have said for years that if you run a small business in this area LPPT is your best asset. A tireless cheer leader for Mom and Pop businesses that are essential to the local economy. LPPT is a one woman commerce tornado. I'm so very lucky to have her on my side and I'm beyond privileged to call her a friend.

My friend Mandy Barnett did some vocal coaching with Gwyneth in Nashville to help her prepare for the role. I was at one of Mandy's concerts in Nashville this past February and Gwyneth and her mom Blythe Danner were there. She seems like a good gal and I think her voice is great. I can't wait to see the film.

How were the crowds at your voting site?
MarkPalm replied to The Sound Guy's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I live in Polk Co and vote at the Vinson Mtn Volunteer Firehouse. There's never a line. I walked in, was the only one there at 10 til 8. Because I had read all of the amendments and researched my candidates before hand it took me about 8 minutes total, in and out. -
I still voted for Monds and every other L on the ballot. If there was an incumbent I voted against that person no matter the party affiliation. As for repealing state income taxes and the effect being higher property taxes, get educated on The Fair Tax. Consumption is the only fair way to go in my book. And I'm not talking just at the state level. Federal income tax needs to be eliminated in favor of a consumption tax. Then I get to choose when I pay taxes. Imagine that, an individual wielding the power. Novel concept.

I'm voting for John Monds. We won't have a viable, small government third party unless they make a good showing. John Monds is the best candidate in my opinion.

I so wish I was in District 19 so I could vote.

What's different for me is that 99% of the time I actually type out whole words and sentences with punctuation. Just because I embrace a totally killer technology doesn't mean I'm going to stop writing well.

Well I wouldn't die. I would just collapse.
-
Of course you clean up after yourself. How rude not to. And at the movie theater I always take my trash and collect whatever I can that others might have left on my way to the trash. I hate people who don't pick up after themselves.

I don't know how I ever lived without the ability to text and I think I would collapse and die if anyone ever took it away.

Who's Ready For..............Trick or Treaters?!?!?!
MarkPalm replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We had one (the first in the 6 Halloweens I've lived here) and Jimmy turned her away. It wasn't Halloween last night. I've had the light off all night. -
Here's a picture of what I'm looking for. Remind me of your hours please.

Do you happen to still have the microphone stands? And also you wouldn't happen to have a stand for a karaoke television set up would you?

Wow...an honest, open, civil political discussion on Pcom. I weepy. I can't believe I've actually witnessed this historic thread. Good job guys for keeping it civil. I have found things to agree with for all of you. I'm voting no to all except 5. Number 1 could potentially (a very real potentially mind you) put me completely out of business. I'm begging you, no matter how you vote, please vote no to Amendment 1.

It definitely smelled like leaves burning to me. A LOT OF THEM. Which I thought was odd because the smoke was so thick and heavy I could barely make out the clock on the old courthouse. I did see one fire truck pull out of the side street by Sal's but no lights or sirens, etc. It was really odd. Jimmy's class at Ga Highlands let out early because the teacher said the smoke was bothering her.

Agreed. I miss you. And Deborah and Maggie. But don't tell Deborah I miss her. She'll get a big head.

I know...and he was just being silly. This whole mess has caused a rift between people who once loved and respected each other. Frankly I think it's silly. We all have our issues. And I still love you.

Honey, you're not a trash heap. That line comes from Fraggle Rock. The Gorg's were the keeper of the trash heap, Marjorie. And every time Marjorie would impart some wise advice to the Fraggles her little minions would say, "The trash heap has spoken."

And apparently you're invisible anyway.

I've never seen an episode. Which surprises most people. I mean it seems like a natural fit for me. But now that I heard about them slaughtering a sacred cow like Rocky Horror, well I don't think I'll watch it. There are some things you just don't mess with.

My mother almost named me Ezekial after my great great grandfather. I ended up being Charles Mark, the Charles after my father. Of course all through her pregnancy she was told I was a girl, so she had Jennifer's clothes, and nursery and all that. Jennifer didn't come. I just tell my mother know that she was half right. My brother and his ex named his first son after my great grandfather on my Mom's Dad's side, Austin. He named his second son Brady, after my Mom's Mom's dad. I'm just glad I'm not Ezekial. I would have hated that.

You might could still use those things. You just never know.

It happened to me one time this morning. It's been fine ever since.
