  1. Any damage will have been to the North from a line going from the Airport/N. of Downtown Dallas/to the Crossroads. Anything South of 278/120 is fine to the east of Dallas, we didn't even get any rain here.
  2. Yeah gonna be storming and booming here soon for the rest of the night. If you got somewhere else you can go... Now might be the window of opportunity.. But stay dry and safe.

  6. How bad is it that we got the vid LPPT did via Facebook before seeing it up on Pcom.
  7. Mention of S. Trace sub and P. Airport on 11 now.
  8. When that last one came thru that day here at 278 and 61, back in Nov i think, it was dead frickin calm outside when the trees all started lying over all at once and the leaves began swirling up thru the air. This dead calm came right the middle of a hellacious downpour and booming storm.
  9. I hope everyone is safe. We've done spent past 2 hours calling friends and family, everyone we know in E/NE Paulding is okay. And everyone at my inlaws was listening to the roar from their front porch, my MIL freaked out, began hyperventilating, and pretty much fainted on us. All I can guess is we were listening to what started at the airport and went to the E. Paulding area.
  10. Yeah dodged the bullet here. Everyone stay safe.
  11. South of Hospital tween 61 and Buchanan. it's gone quiet here, not really windy, no rain.
  12. At my inlaws on their porch, could hear a roaring coming from w. paulding/278 area.
  13. 11Alive says Dallas 8:36 Time to log off and go to ground be safe everybody.
  14. And this is no different these days from us courting bringing any business into the county, regardless if it's a movie studio, Hyundai, or a new Caterpillar plant. But I see your point in that you'd like a business that stays in business being brought in that would employ more folks, and while I like porn, I'm claiming NIMBY on that one.
  15. Are we on the hook now? Is this a county project? I thought this was actually a private business that had some heavy subsidizing? I'm really not up and up on all this. My thought was I wouldn't think too many people would post on p.com about their kids getting a job at the studio as a part-time fluffer. No what would be cool would be to get some of the TV series shoots going on here in Georgia. Walking Dead is pretty much set here in Georgia, in our area, for their show. I ran into that film crew in Dallas in December shooting the street and Theater for another TV Pilot.
  16. Well wonder how one would approaching discussing the unemployment in the county going down were that to happen.
  17. yeah was short, but showed the studio and was it a lighting building? If i had an inkling it was gonna even be on the TV I woulda set up to record it :( Okay who dropped the ball there?
  18. turn it on Already over 2min bump tho wasn't bad, talking about Georgia and Paulding becoming "Hollywood" of the south. WEB VIDEO HERE: http://www.11alive.com/news/article/230788/458/Atlanta-Film-Studios-open-for-business-in-Paulding-County
  19. All the local news channels are warming up their dopplers. What worries me the most about these as they roll in is the way they look. They're small contained cells instead of being a line. Looks like twister weather.
  20. What I don't get, is that I had a chest xray last week because of continuing coughing and fluid in my lungs, and they could find nothing on the xray. Now here I am a week later still having horrible coughing fits and bringing up all sorts of junk when I do.
  21. I find this topic to be riveting. Hey, how much did the pirate pay to get his ears pierced? A Buck-an-ear.
  22. I had the pleasure, years ago in my youth, of working with Atlanta Pipefitters/Plumbers Union folks on a number of jobs around Atlanta, one being the first of the Home Depot Home office buildings in Vinings off 285. The thing that chuffs me is that I never met one union person in my entire time of working that was deserving of the disparaging comments I've both seen and heard others make about union workers in that group of folks. Every one on the job was a hard working, non-complaining, do the job right but do it now, stand up individual. These are the guys that build skyscrapers. They knew t
  23. Inbred Mountain folk, Seen one on 61 North, and never happened.
  24. Wife and I are going to stop by that new mexican restaurant beside Fred's, El Bano Sucio, and want to try the Beef Taco's, Carne Style.
