  1. I'm about to run out the door so can't put a link up. I think because of the "deals" Netflix has been making, one of the concessions is that they cannot count Netflix traffic towards your bandwidth limitation on Comcast at least, that's because Comcast is part of NBC now or whichever, and they're already charging Netflix to play, so they cannot turn around and hold customers to more money. Oh, they'd like to, but I've seen it stated before certain carriers have said they aren't counting Netflix traffic because of these deals that went on last year.
  2. Is that not the one on the hill behind Barnes Hardware? Think about 1/4 of my family went to that school back in the day, sad.
  3. I thought for men it's popping a Viagra and tipping the Waffle House waitress an extra $10. And for women it's Danielle Steel novels while hubs is off having coffee at Waffle House. EDIT: I hope I'm that freaky when I'm that old.
  4. Can I buy some pot from you? Because it really must be some good cheeze. BTW Hijack over to the OP.
  5. I'm hearing a lot of folks saying that the time between resume submission and getting a possible call can be as long as 3 months now, all depending on how soon the position needs to be filled of course. I know my wife got a call from someone last year asking if she was interested in a job, and it threw her off because she hadn't been submitting resumes. Come to find out it was a company that she had applied to almost a year before.
  6. I'm becoming even more disturbed. There's an actual Trade Association for the small-scale manufactures/distributors of these drugs in the US and they're looking at hiring lobbyists to champion their cause. They're saying worldwide this product generated hundreds of millions in the last year, and they're trying to throw their hats in with the "we're being persecuted for being a natural alternative to illegal drugs" line.
  7. Yeah but there's still a few states out there with laws in the book where women can't spit in public.
  8. Well I wasn't sure what form this new drug had taken and I used some google-fu, and Pubby your gonna poop, one of the new delivery methods is Eliquid for Ecigs. I don't know if that's whats showing up in our state, but it seems the liquid form is gaining traction. Users can either directly ingest the liquid or vaporize it using an Ecig. If this isn't a sign that we've lost the war on drugs I don't know what is. The more I google this crap the more and more I'm realizing that the global suppliers in 3rd world countries are ramping up production of these chemicals and that there are SO
  9. PSA: What is being called "3rd Generation" of this product has already started appearing in the state and it's not prohibited under the current law. LEO is being alerted to it's presence, if you are caught with it, while they may not be able to enforce the letter of the law (charging you with possession of a controlled substance), they're being told to enforce the spirit of it. IOW, they will take this product from you, you will likely be charged with "something" if caught with it, like if you are in a vehicle you'll be dealing with a DUI charge. Also more and more severe health issue
  10. My mom got a bottle of the pink stuff from Sam's back around New Years, according to her tastes, it wasn't as good as what was in the blue bottle, it was much sweeter. If that's a good thing or bad, I don't know. I've only tried Moscato a few times at dinner parties with dessert and I'm sure it wasn't a cheaper brand. What I had tasted like sparkling white grape juice, sweet but not overly and not too dry. It went well with some fruit and chocolate oddly enough, but I suppose that's what it's for. BTW I don't know diddly about wine, but I saw the bottle she had (pink stuff) and it was qui
  11. Or if you're into Asian flicks you can watch Battle Royale, it's pretty much the same thing. I burned through all 3 books in about 5 nights, I don't really care for YA fiction, so my only complaints have to do with my own faults, but it wasn't a bad series by any means.
  12. Oh snap! The prosecution runs it back for a hail mary play!!! It's going it's going..
  13. Um, how is this going to stop illegals from using stolen licenses, photoshop, and a laminating machine? I swear I might be giving someone in Smyrna a call next time my renewal comes up.
  14. So I heard that 75% of their *Bellsouth DSL areas is already boxed for UVerse and that ATT is just too cheap to buy all the cards to put in, and they'd rather reserve their data capacity for now. I heard that ATT cannot find any interested parties in buying their POTS and DSL (no uverse avail) areas and may split that portion of their company off so it can die it's own slow death of reduced subscribers over time.
  15. I had Bellsouth for over twelve years, and multiple addresses. When I have had a problem help was always available over the phone or a tech was sent in a timely manner. And then AT&T took over.
  16. At this point Zimmerman is sitting there with a bag of busted lemons, just trying to say, in his shoes, I would have already been planning on making some lemonade a long time ago. His life is essentially over, it was over the moment he began following the kid that night. I'm saying there's an advantage to throwing yourself on the mercies of the public opinion, being contrite, and begging forgiveness, there's a life after all that and a book deal in it. Zimmerman has stood up for himself and been so obstinate through this process he has really been working against such a thing happening. As it
  17. Haha, you got that sh*t right about the techs. And problems at the equipment source are the worst to have them diagnose properly. Get better results trying to train a monkey to not mix his feces in with his banana. Yup it can take multiple calls and days before you can get someone to diagnose the problem. The thing is next time you call, tell them you've got a degree in IT and you don't want no BS from them, so they need to skip the script and escalate. Usually gives the phone script reader a heart attack and you'll be put on hold again, but the next person will usually know what's going
  18. Why bless your heart. I did live in Florida as a gun owner, I had friends who were the same. We discussed this ad nasuem so many times, the salient points have been discussed on here, I won't go over them. But the law is inherently flawed in that the word of a living man trumps the facts and evidence of the case. If the law wasn't written as such and applied as it was in this case, then we wouldn't be at this point. I've said it before, I like the law, but even the more intelligent gun owners I discussed this with can see the flaws. I even had to go through having a neighbor brandish his weapo
  19. There's mine, paying for Extreme 6.0 DSL. I'm sure when you talked to them you power cycled the modem a few times to make sure to reset interleave mode? (fastpath vs. interleaved) fastpath is where the modem determines you have no line issues and operates in a low latency mode. inerleaved is where error checking is enabled for the information packets, increases latency but ensures stability. Interleaved can default the modem to a safe mode speed if there are large issues on the lines, like clicks and pops from inclement weather or such. So at times a power cycle can reset thi
  20. I'm sorry but I do take umbrage with you telling me what I would and would not do. You do not know me so don't presume you can speak for me. Secondly, it would label him a criminal and ruin the rest of life? At this point as opposed to what? I'm just saying if he had had any sense he would have had his lawyers work with the prosecutors office to engineer charges he could plead down to and walk away with probation. He's already stated his belief is that if he goes to jail/prison he's a dead man and he only wants to leave the US. You do that, we'll continue to discuss th
  21. Like I said, we'll see. Some theories about what the prosecution may believe they have: There is also another belief the 911 phone conversation where he is told "I don't need you to do that sir" when he was watching the victim, may may a key point for the prosecution. At the time of the call the 911 dispatcher has no way of knowing who is in the process of committing a crime since the call mainly concerns a caller stating he is "following someone" whom he has not seen do anything wrong but believes to be looking in windows and possibly on drugs. Now since he was given the suggest
  22. TWC says frost advisory (frost is expected) from 2am-10am Thursday morning. Brrr. And I just had to turn a bit of heat on.
  23. Dark rainy night, two people who were obviously stressed over one another being at the wrong place wrong time, I know it's a horrible reason but it's the only one that really fits. We try so often to apply malice to situations where ignorance, stupidity, and/or fear are the real factors, and we tend to fail hard when doing so. I don't think the prosecution can have a strong enough case, especially on the heels of the Anthony trial, to make a 2nd degree stick. But looking at the Anthony case can Zimmerman get off scott free like she did? Why yes he can. The question is now, wou
