  1. Oh another complaint is the Updates Microsoft rolled out this week, Vista/Win7 users having screwed up systems by doing a Shutdown update and having to phone support everyone into rolling back and manually updating. ARGH!
  2. Ms. Garrett from Facts of Life just because. Wha-wha-wha-WHAT?
  3. I know right? Call me later.
  4. Me too, would have never taken it if I'd known it had a crack in it.
  5. Shoot almost 40 here and I couldn't imagine ever stopping.
  6. My right hip and knee are killing me. So not only am I butthurt today I'm kneehurt as well.
  7. The land there just changed hands recently and there has been surveyors all over the property. Speculation is that they're going to subdivide it and it's going to be a BYOB/Craftsman style sub and the neighborhood will have full access to Cole Lake. Believe the entrance will be across from Monroe Cole. Then again they could just be lumber taking, as that's currently more profitable than building homes.
  8. Not trying to kick the soapbox out from under you but ABC only picked up, and pushed, the story because it had been one of the top issues social media circles for a good long while. Considering all the big media places are mining the social sites for stories these days it really was a tossup as to who was going to come out and do an expose first. This is really more about how those with an agenda can easily utilize social media to bring things to national attention these days. I think McDonalds dropped their "pink slime" from the menu last summer because they were the original soci
  9. Didn't 50 Shades start out as fanfic for Bella and Edward in Twilight?
  10. Big fat raindrop shower here in Dallas.
  11. Was talking with an engineering buddy one time, and we couldn't figure out why they just don't go to a 45 degree basket design. THINK ABOUT IT. It would actually have a proper low point to drain, and it would agitate the load THROUGH the water unlike most upright efficient washers now, AND it'd save water, AND be easier to load/unload.
  12. Why does that not surprise me a bit with Greystone? They treat the internet like it's some strange thing that is to be treated as a passing fad and not to be taken seriously. Really a website on reporting outages that don't work on mobile devices? What's the friggin point.
  13. What kind of washer? Old school non-efficient upright tub? Newer efficient upright tub? or a HE side load? And Have you tried bleach? Letting the tub dry out by leaving it open and running a fan blowing into after a few cycles will remove most the smell. (clarity: try using bleach for 3-4 washes letting the tub dry between each faux-load)
  14. Nope we just have a few things around, some wrought iron hoochie coochie lamps from the 60's with GOLD inverted teardrop globes. These are the type that hang from the ceiling on a chain and the pull chain on the bottom has tassels. We got a personal library collection that includes things like, how to repair your own plane that goes in-depth on what type of fabric to use to replace the wings. And a few boxes of good junk, that holds odds and ends like a family bible from the 1800's, several electric shavers from the 50's that looks more dangerous than the Epilady Plus, the Football Schedule Ru
  15. Double D'oh !! I just found it, and it's the Dallas Tigers, wtf.. well my only excuse was I wasn't alive in '67 when this was made. It's in bad shape but if you want to see it Click this to Download.
  16. LOL finding a Chamber of Commerce booklet amongst my wifes late great-grandparents things is hardly hoarding Also got a Dallas Wildcats Tigers football schedule from the 1960s somewhere around here too, guess I should throw that out.
  17. I've still got a Paulding Chamber of Commerce booklet from 1991-92 that touts all the 4-lanes coming to Paulding.
  18. Takes a clutch of bamboo, and makes it rustle. ... rustle rustle rustle.. you can't resist. No I just returned the thong, alto I called the waxing place and yeah, they confirmed that they can't put all my hair back in those places.. But it'll grow back later Saturday nite. AROOOOO0000-WOOOOOOoooo
  19. Getting your water tested regularly is important.
  20. Wouldn't happen to be arsenic would it? One of the reasons you should get your water tested, is that arsenic is one of the most dangerous naturally occurring compounds that can contaminate well water.
  21. Man.. I've read this like 10 times now and it still cracks me up, cos I've actually had that exact conversation. Here's my Stupid Steak recipe: 1/8 cup dry of Montreal Steak Seasoning (big shaker is like <$7 at Sams and will do like 15 marinades). 2 TBSP of Garlic Powder (not Garlic Salt) 2 TBSP of Olive Oil 2 TBSP of Balsamic Vinegar 4 TBSP of Worcestershire Sauce 6-8oz of Coca-Cola from a can. I put all the above into a 2cup measuring cup and whisk briskly, this in turn makes a frothy foamy pungent mess. Let this frothy mess settle to liquid and mix once more
  22. Turn in your geek card at the door please. Stunning phasers are Star Trek canon not Star Wars.
  23. Would that be something you have to do through the county? The only way I know to determine flow rate is to measure the head then run the pump until the well is sucking air, then wait until it fills back up to the head mark. I did the math on ours a few years back and well... all I remember is it takes 3 hours of our pump being ON before it sucks air and little over an hour to fill back up, 6" bore @ 175'... something to do with Pi.. damn my brain just broke.
