Charge him with 2nd degree, plea him down to manslaughter, he walks with probation. Everyone near satisfied, investigation will find some patrolman at fault, due diligence will look to have been done. Media will move on to next story and in a year Zimmerman can sell a book, Martin's family can sell a book, profits for everyone.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, I do 10 stupid things a day, all before lunch, and I'm still kicken.

About to go slice up and brown some beef tips in Worcestershire and Black Pepper. Add some portabella mushroom slices, and a rich mushroom sauce, via campbells. Cover and throw in the oven. Boil some rice in a bag. Steam some frozen broccoli for the side.

Hey! What the Hell? We totally just got gypped on rain. The weather forecast for the rest of the week has been all over the place today online What's the word from the weather folks in the city?

What happened to the good old days when all us kids would smoke banana peels, get a headache, and then go to bed?

They're already doing it, unless you don't think lining wells along the edge of ANWAR and drilling horizontal underneath the land counts as actually drilling there. The bulk of ANWAR lies on the North Slope of the Alaskan state along the Arctic Ocean, they have year long logistical problems getting gear to Prudehoe Bay which lies just outside of ANWAR, 2 months sea shipping in summer, 4 months ice road shipping in winter. So in your informed estimate what is the time table from when they open up ANWAR to top down drilling, which they will do, until the refineries come online that's going to d

Drill where exactly? Here's a quote from an industry oil man:

Could it possibly be that it's a finite resource and we're going to have to adjust our lifestyles to the rest of the world? Here's an interesting article reposted with permission. Original article with comments and reference links: http://www.theoildrum.com/node/9085

WellStar to break ground in Hiram Monday
Riptides replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I know from doing some work for Tanner in the past that they were in a race with Wellstar for this area. Being one of the top hospital groups outside the Metro area they had expressed they were eager to get their foot more into the door of a metro county. I have to believe this is part of what's driving the pace of this project. But talking to one of the Tanner board members he said they were trying to work against Wellstar on getting projects approved in Paulding. They really had their sights set on our county. Either way it's a win win. -
The thing is, and this is so freaking convoluted, the USF is a fee the telecom companies agreed to pay for that would allow them to expand in areas where it could be said they're monopolizing. And the bulk of this FEE goes back into the telecom's pockets, usually for providing coverage in fringe areas where there already is coverage. So by doing piecemeal expansions they keep the fee rolling, pocket most of it, and it allows them to engage in shady practices. It's like a win, win, win, all around for them. And I believe the deal is they can use the fee money to expand into an area where t

Yup it's the Universal Service Fund. It’s a direct fee that helps support the expansion of affordable telecommunications services all over the country. It’s a fee that the government charges providers, who then charge you, in order to subsidize and expand services. Hey does anyone know if we finally paid for the Spanish-American War? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_telephone_excise_tax

PM Sent for specifics, but was about 15minutes away from Perdido Beach and the NAS, which was in the other direction, and a 20min drive into FOLEY Alabama, which was easier to get into and out of than Pensacola proper. Nice nice area down there, in fact aside from the weather and beach being around, reminded me of living up here, as in everything is nearby but you're still out in the country. Oh there was a little town on the way to Lillian that reminded me of Mayberry, that is if the speedlimit dropped to 15 mph as you come into town and Barney is sitting behind a sign waiting to get yo ass f

D'oh that's the name!! Been so long.. And Ft. Barrancas is on the Naval Station, built into the side of the hill, and mostly underground. You can see Ft. Pickens from Barrancas. Also there was another fort on the Perdido Key side that was abandoned to the gulf after the civil war, used to be a popular, albeit dangerous, dive spot but one of the later hurricanes wiped out/covered the remains. With each year the Ft. Pickens side gets longer, and the Perdido side gets shorter. Dang just realized this year makes it 10 since I lived down there, miss it greatly. Edited to add: Some Tr

If you stay at Perdidio Key do yourself a favor and take a day and Drive through Pensacola and go down to Pensacola Beach, it's less than an hour drive from Perdido. To the east of Pensacola Bay the water is azure and clean and you get to experience on one of the top 10 beaches in the US along a 15mile stretch of parkland. But to the west of Pcola bay, the water is brown and nasty and always churned. Also there's a neat fort from the Colonial days over on Pensacola Beach with tours, not to mention there's an older Spanish fort on the Navy base as well as the naval aviation museum.

Student's parents hired a lawyer fighting EPHS over senior prank
Riptides replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Since we don't know the others who got away then I'm sure that a good group of you would agree that we should punish the entire senior class at EPHS. It's the only way to be sure. -
One 20oz 2 1/2" thick NY Strip, cut down the middle to make two 10oz steaks, marinating since last night. A pan of parmesean/garlic roasted potatoes. Shoepeg corn off the cobb.

You might be able to find the episode on http://abc.go.com/watch/2020/SH559026 There are several episodes already aired with the "My Extreme Affliction" name. If it aired tonight, you can watch it by next weekend I think via the link?

Exactly. The job in and of itself is crap enough so why (should the customer) be a pain in the ass to the people who oft-times can do the least to fix the problem, or had least to do with it. Like my grand-daddy taught me, you go in a place and say thank you enough times, they'll remember you as a good regular and always give you decent service. But go in enough times and drop big tips, they'll really remember you and forever treat you like a king. I don't really need to say what you might get if you go in all the time and are ugly..

Understand what you're trying to say but to play devil's advocate, when I go out to eat the last thing on my mind is making sure I'm the best customer my server ever had, not that my intentions to be a bad customer, but to be truthful my only concern is being fed in a timely and courteous manner. And if things happen that are out of my servers control, I don't sweat it, but bad service is bad service, and if that's what I get, then I'm not going to keep my mouth shut when someone reduces the enjoyment of a meal from an establishment that advertises such. I say please and thank you, I don'

If I start seeing breakfast pizzas on the menu I'm going to only have YOU to blame.

Sounds about right, DVD/VCR combo are still somewhat pricey for a non-junk unit. Upconverting technology to connect to HDTV's. Then Digital Tuner. And bad thing is it's not that in the manufacturing that make these cost so much, they still gotta pay licenses for DVD/VHS certifications and logos, and then patent licenses for all the up-converting and digital tech these days, and with so few people buying these units the costs won't really come down from what they are now.

Student's parents hired a lawyer fighting EPHS over senior prank

I just think about the statistic in Georgia's Department of Corrections. Over 60% of convicted felony offenders in Georgia will repeat. Stick all these kids with a felony, and you can pretty much assume that over half will, for the rest of their lives, be in and out of the system. The only example that should be made is about the Paulding BOE who's only policy that has been standard for past 30 years is whatever sounds good coming out of their mouth at the time they said it. The expelled students should be allowed the due process of the law, and if parents take the notion to s -
By definition, food service jobs are usually referred to as the Hospitality industry. But then again what you provide is customer service, so yeah splitting hairs.

Back in the day when VCR's were hitting the market early mid 80s, tons of folks still were using console TV's or console TV's on the top of their old console TV's. The VCR's came with a tuner so you could use it to receive the OTA transmissions and record them. It was a cheap feature the VCR's could have and was useful, and it wasn't until approaching the 90's that the VCR's were even cable ready and could handle getting in more than a few channels. Not too many have tuners in them now, basically as a cost saving measure. For now they'd have to put in digital tuners which are running $50+
