Without sugary drinks we'd have no Honey Boo Boo!!! Georgia wouldn't have two famous reality shows, we'd just be stuck with Housewives of Atlanta!!! OH NOES!!

Doesn't matter how much money you have if you're a cheap bastard.

Won't work, that's what the spigot on the bottom of the tank is for. Once you shut off the water to the tank, if there is a shutoff for the tank, there will be a vacuum lock in the tank. Shutting off the cold water supply, hooking an outdoor water hose to the spigot on the tank and running it outside, then opening the hot water side of a faucet will facilitate quick draining of said tank. But I think you kinda meant that in less verbal steppage. If it's leaking around the spigot, then you might be able to get away with removing the spigot using a pipe wrench (or large channel-locks) a

I'm trying to do my part this year by convincing everyone that only in December are they Christmas Lights, the other 11 months, they're party lights. Discuss.

You two are like an old married couple, I swear.

Well I'm tired of all the knee-jerking these days. The left tends to chicken little while the right does its bloviating best on every issue. Hell the NRA jumped in with both feet suggesting armed police at every school, might as well cut to the chase and build new schools/police precincts A-I-O multi-use government buildings since we're heading to something like that anyways.

I don't know about planets aligning, but this would cure me: ETA: Pic didn't come out as intended, so we'll just imagine I'm at home and photoshopped the planets aligning with a Milky Way Dark candy bar. Thanks -Management

Indeed, the "learn their language, earn their trust, breed with their women, and in time our differences will be forgotten", story hasn't ever been done before. I'll just say it's an interesting article and brings up good points, I just think as a nation we have bigger issues than trying to stuff a genie back into it's bottle.

Came across this one on an automobile forum, thought it might be a marriage saver for some.

I've had the Galaxy S3 since it was released this summer, with the Otterbox defender case on it from day one. As of now I need a new case screen cover, the clear part has taken a ton of abuse that the phone hasn't had to deal with. And I'll admit I've dropped the phone a dozen times now with no ill effects. No complaints here with it at all, other than some software issues with google.apps.com force closing that seems to be from doing an early sync with my contacts/data from my previous phone. The fix for that is easy, just restore the phone OS and resync via Google. The phone size

It's one thing to offer constructive criticism and another to criticize, and the demarcation of such is plainly visible to most all.

Dynex and Insignia are probably the same manufacturer, but different branding. Just know on the main Dynex web page they have Best Buy and Futureshop listed as their retailers.

Steven King's "Under the Dome" coming to TV this summer
Riptides replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Okay I can't keep quiet about this.. I've been a HUGE fan of SK for YEARS, so much so in fact I even have some of the "Bachman Books" original printing runs without SK's name on them. But.. Mr. King hasn't been the same writer since he quit drinking and got off the hard drugs in the early 90's. And even ignoring the Ultra-Liberal bent to the "Under the Dome" novel, which is an exercise in futility, the book in and of itself still sucks majorly, there's nothing worth reading it for. All it seems he does is throw his old characters in a blender, then smooshes them into a mold of a new c -
Dynex is a Best Buy house brand, but may be sold through a few other partner retailers, if you have the extended warranty with Best Buy you could get them to do an exchange. If not they may be able to help you with contacting their repair center. Here is the service and support web page for that brand: http://www.dynexproducts.com/support.html ETA: Note there is a 1-800 number on that page. Also they have a parts lookup you could see how much it'd be to to purchase a replacement screen and install it yourself if you have the wherewithal for such. But as most folks noted it may be

We've entered a nice "sunset" moment in the crude energy production realm. Many refineries are retooling to produce gas from lower grades of crude (think that nasty Canadian crude we've been importing) as well as the Alaskan pipeline coming back up to and running at full capacity for the first time in over two decades. (Funny that, and ANWAR is still not being produced directly). Also in the ME there have been transitions to enhanced recovery of existing wells, which has allowed them to increase productions on dying wells for the time being. This combined with slow economic recov

Don't worry, some folks rather track poop all over the house rather than admit they stepped in it. Wish you luck with getting the pup a good home.

There were a few under the hood tweaks to ease hardware requirements a bit with the Win8 OS, meaning it was geared a bit to get folks to upgrade from XP to Win8 on older hardware that Win7 doesn't run as well on to facilitate better adoption of the new OS. There were some optimaztions performed as well so it does load faster and has better support for hardware compared to Win7. But.. I'm one of those that tends to participate in the betas and QA type stuff on the new Windows OS before they're released but I've passed on having anything to do with this iteration. Don't really want a "la

Which output type are you using? HDMI? I don't have one personally, but there's some HDMI settings you can mess with to correct static issues over HDMI, such as turning "Deep Color Output" off.
