  1. Thanks!!! I am desperate to get the stuff off without annoying an already not too thrilled toddler. Will have to give it a try this afternoon after he soaks in the tub.
  2. Kind of a weird question and I'm not even sure how to term it right to google it but......my son had surgery on Friday and I guess they taped something to his face? On each side of his cheek there is that yucky mark from the adhesive of the tape, same thing on his arm where his IV was....is there a way I can get that to come off without really rubbing on it? He gets angry if I rub on it. It was that clear medical tape stuff....he looks so gross with the icky greyish slightly fuzzy residue on him.
  3. I think buying a home priced low due to foreclosure, is nothing but an investment no matter how many forclosures in the neighborhood. The value will go up as soon as everything evens out and if you are planning on staying for a while, chances are by the time you want to leave the value will be much higher than what you bought it for. Though if I had it my way, I'd not live in a neighborhood hehe
  4. As far as I know its Scoggins. You would only be a mile or two down from me and our schools are Union Elem, Scoggins Middle and (I believe) South Paulding High (ew!).
  5. Nice pics!!! You probably flew right over me!
  6. The red flowers are actually the flowers of the plant. The "pitcher" part are its leaves
  7. Yeah I think its a sign of the times.....we have the same situation in our neighborhood which is actually not far from Swafford Sub. The elementary school out here is great!
  8. I don't remember what the cars were...both dark colored I believe. A boxy looking SUV of sorts and a car. There was life flight (or whatever its called) and 2 ambulances as well as several fire/rescue cars. If anyone knows how the people involved are doing, please update when possible.
  9. May 3rd-7th.....our school usually does a theme each day. I'm hoping the paper comes home today so I can prepare over the weekend. I'm not sure what to do....we send stuff in all year when stuff is listed on the wishlist section of the grade newsletter. Might just get the teacher a little something for her and let the kiddo (2nd grade) pick some roses from the garden.
  10. I'm confused about the 4-H thing. There are kids in my sons class (2nd grade) in 4H but the website says its for grades 5-12.
  11. Glad to hear all is well! I'm jealous of your lack of neighbors. I could tell ya some stories for sure haha About the truck issue...you see, I thought surely people would notice the bright silver Jeep but I guess the girl in the mustang didn't see it. Probably was busy texting her bff or something super important I'm sure But yes I'm considering upgrading....perhaps a tank. Surely no one will miss seeing that haha
  12. I know right? Things are going swell here. Same ol' stuff. Keeping busy more than usual. Some idiot in Villa Rica hit me a few weeks back. Guess she didn't see me stopped in traffic. Jeeps are small and all. Thats about it for excitement. How's life up there in KY?
  13. Hey Stranger! Even schools in Michigan have more of a clue than Georgia schools ha
  14. Definately not ideal but better than nothing....I guess another thing about kids living close to school and walking.....we live a mile from our school. I've always said I'd walk my kids there instead of drive (yes, I drive my kids because it is a 3 minute car ride versus a 30 minute bus ride) IF there were sidewalks.....so in all fairness that may be something keeping people from having their kids walk to school. It is just not safe to walk along these roads...not that a sidewalk will save you per say but atleast it is safer and gives room to walk. I feel that extra stuff is key to a well
  15. Oh my. This topic brought tears to my eyes Funny shiot in here I tell ya!
  16. I'm reading over the possible cuts...I know my opinions don't count but the thought of getting rid of Kindergarten Parapros is nuts. What are there about 20 kids per class? That is a lot of little kids for one teacher to handle. I'm sure some could handle it much better than others but wow talk about stress for not only the teacher but the kids. The bus cuts makes sense. Where I came from bus services weren't offered if you lived so close to the school. For those that lived farther from the school bus service was available but you had to a pay a certain amount. I walked 2+ miles to my
  17. Ours went up as well. Our bill would run anywhere from $25-$30 but the last one was just shy of $33. Can't complain though, I mean...its only a few bucks. I'm glad it isn't as much as some of yours.....and in all fairness we may have used a tad more water last month. Who knows.
  18. Yup BIG THANKS from us!! My 5 yr old had an awesome time and LOVED all the goodies he scored! He's still playing with everything He was on cloud 9 the whole time, running from truck to truck like a dog who got let off his leash
  19. Just want to chime in and say I voted for the new schedule, I run errands on Monday and/or Tuesday and a bit far from town I rarely make extra trips. Makes it hard to get my meat from my most favorite meat place That being said, I'll still shop with you no matter what schedule you have. I guess though with the new one I'd be by more often instead of once a month.
  20. Awesome thanks!! Thats what I was looking for but couldn't find the info. Last year was great!
  21. Wonder what recent studies would suggest http://www.morganquitno.com/edpri06.htm
  22. Its not the bad weather issue but the way they are having to make it up. Normal places make it up at the end of the year heck it'd make more sense to take away a day or two from the stupid vacations they seem to have every month.
