I agree, I believe that when you have a person or persons so rabid against a particular set of people, it's because they're afraid of being that very thing.

I hope you find your baby, dogs are so goofy and don't realize how good they have it. We had our dog Hanson for 14 years and sometimes, once in a blue moon, he'd scoot out the front door and run down the road as fast as he could looking back over his shoulder all the while. We'd chase him for about 3 houses and then give up, 5 minutes later here he'd come. But then other times he'd just look out the screen door and never make a move. Good luck!

Very small for MANY years. And I still can't figure out how an airport will ruin our school system. At this point the anti-airport group, all 30 of them, are grasping at straws and making unsubstantiated claims to try and get their point across. I don't think that would help, she'd have to be in a crate anytime we have other people at our house which is practically all the time after 4:00 in the afternoon til 9:00 at night. Between kids, neighbors, friends and family members dropping by and theres and no rhyme or reason to these attacks. She will be playing and running and all of a sudden she'll stop, bear her teeth and take a chunk out of somebody and then she goes right back to playing and running. It's weird and unpredictable. Maybe she needs to be on a farm herding cattle.

I have a friend who offered one, maybe we'll try that first. We aren't and have never been the family with disposabe pets, we get a pet, we keep them. I've just never had this problem and it's hard to be on guard 24/7, especially with all the kids that are always here. This is a delima I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Thank you. She showed up at our house as a stray just before New Years, we tried to rehome her with no luck and finally decided to keep her. She is SOOOO sweet 99.99999% of the time, but in the three or so months we've had her, she's bitten 5 kids and she's tried to bite at least 2 adults. Not any of our kids or adults but one's that try to get too close to what she thinks is 'hers'. Not so much viscious, but protective. She means well, but I can't have any more kids leaving my house with bleeding legs. I feel so guilty and sad, it's just yukky!

Poor Dixie Girl, she just can't seem to learn not to bite. We've kept her inside, taught her to sit, not to run out the front door like her behind is on fire everytime it opens, etc., but in the last 2 days she's bitten 2 more kids. One was in our back yard collecting arrows he and middleschooler had been shooting. He had on jeans and socks and she still tore a 4" gash in his calf. He left our house limping and bleeding, so she has to go. You can make excuses only so long before you have to realize we can't keep risking any kid that she sees. Now, having said that, there is a place next to Pil Sung Do at the corner of East Paulding and Dallas hwy that does zumba classes. I think they are affiliated with the gym down the sidewalk. Our neighbor lost 220 lbs doing zumba and moderately changing her diet. I was VERY impressed.
