I agree 100%. But the very thing you are talking about is the very thing I get gigged for by parents who tell me to 'let your kid grow up, give him some space'. How much 'space' does a 12 year old need? It's my job as his parent to know what he's doing, when he's doing it, who he's with, etc. I treated my 2 grown daughters the same way and neither of them has ever been on drugs, been arested and they are productive, decent adults. I KNOW what goes on in my sons life and it's a shame that so many parents don't know or it's too much work to find out.

I hope so, she'd be hard pressed to bite a pony in the face. And I think she does just that! Every picture I've seem of her, she running like the wind with her ears flapping behind her like a nut.

Unfortunately, she's gone to another house. A friend has a horse farm and he took her because she bit our Joey dog in the face and he bled and bled. She's doing well with no kids and loves chasing the live stock. We miss her, but with other kids and one with special needs, it got to be too nerve racking to always be on alert.

This is going on everywhere apparently. Hubby has worked 2 trees downed this morning, one with live power lines on the ground. He said there were people out of their cars approaching them to try and move them so they could pass. SERIOUSLY FOLKS? JUST A REMINDER..........If there are power lines on the ground, ALWAYS assume that they are energized AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM. THEY WILL KILL YOU.

Loving a family member has nothing to do with bailing them out of messes they cause for themselves. It's a travesity that your relative has a degree from GT and chose to do nothing with it. That's all him, not you. I have no problem helping others who are trying to help themselves, but it doesn't sound to me like he's trying to do anything for himself. Maybe offer some advice as to how to get him off the hook with the IRS, but I wouldn't go the money route for one single dollar, it will do no good and the same problem will occur over and over. I hate to tell you this but we had two at one time, pecking, pecking holes in our siding. We tried loud noises, wire, etc., and the only thing that got rid of them was rat shot and a .22. They are very persistant.

Hubby and I were talking about him just a few days ago about how long he'd been acting and that he may never die. RIP Mr. Rooney.
