Yea, you're right it is. But teaching them about danger that can befall them and equiping then against it, is much better than sending them unaware into a world that can be a dangerous place. The villians aren't the ones giving out ammonia and teaching self defense, it's the ones doing the harm to the innocents who are often defenseless. I won't and never will apologize for any precaution I take to keep my son safe. If it's watching him to and from the bus stop, knowing who his friends and their parents are, not dropping him of at the skating rink or the movies, so be it. I haven't asked a

Hubby watched Sharktapus vs. Pteracuda on syfy the other day and said it was the worst/best cheesy flick he'd seen in a while. He loved it.

Maybe the reason for all the rage was because it was a planned sexual assault and then he 'couldn't' make it happen and he beat her up because he blamed her for his short comings. I wiil say however, that when I've seen the husband interviewed, he seems shady somehow. I just hope that they find who did it ASAP regardless of motive or if she knew the person or if her husband was involved.

Neither of my daughters rebelled, thank Heavens, but my oldest did have a baby 1 month before her 18th b'day. I was a grandmother at 40. Yikes. But luckily, she and her hubby are as happy as they can be and have been married for 10 years. I was horrified at first about 'what will people think'? But after digesting it a few days, I realized that anyone who knew us, knew that we were good parents who had good kids, one just screwed up. Then I figured when I could look at her in the face and say truthfully, that I had never screwed up, I could act as bad as I wanted about the situation, but

I must have missed the post about her being pregnant.

Genetically altered Human/Bear seen roaming New Jersey
dawneykids replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Genetically altered? It's a bear, walking on it's hind legs. Where's the mystery? -
That's why I don't answer numbers that I don't recognize. If it's legit, they'll leave a message and I'll call back. If not, oh well.

I'm In The Middle Of The "Dexter" Series, On Netflix
dawneykids replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Seen every episode from beginning to end. Love Dexter. -
I know it did and that's why you're the hero of the day on Pcom. You NEVER want to say 'no' to your kids, especially when they need something. But you were right on the money, so hang in there. And if the people in the restaurant had a problem with your actions........ :p .......a big raspberry to them all.

Yep. 'Do the right thing' is the motto that Hubby try to live by and the same one we teach and have taught our kids and grandkids. I've said more then once that the right thing is seldom the easy thing. It's tough, especially when it's your kid.

I'm really afraid that a new topic title on this board will soon be, 'Ebola outbreak in Atlanta'. I'm sorry these people have Ebola. Really, I am. But the irresponsibility in bringing it to a continent that has never seen a case of it it mind blowing. What's next, smallpox?

Her dad's interview is off somehow. Some of the words he uses just don't make sense and while I realize that you may be making no sense if your child is missing, you also notify police when she's missing. It reminded me A LOT of the Susan Smith interview right after her babies went missing and she said, 'Y'all stay strong, mama loves, ya'. Stay strong? REALLY? I knew that biotch was guilty from the get go.

You put your 6 year old daughter to bed on Saturday night. She's not in her bed when you get up the next morning. You don't notify authorities until late Sunday night. WTF?! http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/missing-jenise-wrights-parents-given-lie-detector-tests-police-n172721

Does anyone remember David Austin's 2008 campaign

Where did you get that idea? Certainly not from this topic. When a candidate rails against someone or something and then does an about face, it makes you wonder and ask questions. -
