  1. I'm glad I'm not the only one thought the exact same thing.
  2. Oh man, you're killing me. These things are sooo hard. I wish everyone had an attitude like your dads, he sounds like a wonderful and insightful man. Good wishes to you and your family.
  3. I'm totally in, I already have a gun, several actually, and a permit.
  4. You are absolutely correct. I hate to hear my kids or grandkids say 'it's so and so's fault I had to do it'. Yea. No it's not, it's all you.
  5. OH MY, I can't imagine being in your shoes, bless your heart! I wish that there was something we could do to help. As a mother, not knowing where my kids are is my biggest fear. I hope she comes to her senses soon and comes home and apologizes to you for the heartache and stress this has caused. It does seem very odd not to take any of her things and not to pick up her pay check. Do you think she's being influenced by another person that you don't know, a stranger? This is too scary for a parent. Sending good vibes and please keep us updated.
  6. Hey, I have an an idea, let's bring one of the deadliest viruses on the planet to a continent where it doesn't exist. Brilliant. And by brilliant, I mean NOT brilliant.
  7. I was not happy when middleschooler insisted he wanted to ride the bus in 6th grade. The change from elementary to middle school was traumatic enough for me, but then to abandon him to the bus?!?!?! He loved it and after a week or two, I did too. I still don't like that his bus stop is on another street around the corner, but what do you do? Am I still going to walk with him at least part way to the bus stop? Yep. Do I care if people think I'm crazy or over protective? Nope. He's a kid and 12 year old kids go missing everyday, even big strapping ones. So, if no one agrees with me, I salute the
  8. And ultimately that's ALL that matters. I did the same thing until last year. And as long as we don't expect anyone else to do it, it's none of anybody's business.
  9. Thank you!! And the grandkids rock......................most of the time.
  10. Not sure what your problem with me is and honestly, I couldn't care less, but I haven't checked out your usernames, join date or post count. I just don't agree with you and I haven't been ugly about it, it's a shame you couldn't have left the highlighted part of your above post out. It makes you look like a real jerk.
  11. I'm not sure how not having rules for a child contributes to their education. If being appalled at the idea of absolutely no structure, no bedtime, no boundries, etc., makes me judgemental, well, then I guess I have to own that, because I am appalled. The disservice that you are doing to your child by raising them this way teaches them NOTHING about the norms of society. There is a time to be at work and a time to leave. Are they not going to work in the work force when they grow up? Do not enter means just that. Do not enter. Will they enter because they were taught that the rules don't apply
  12. Sorry! It was just too cool not to share. And thank you, he is precious. I told him when we got home that I appreciated that he insisted I take her because we had such a good time and she was so well behaved. I think I'll go squeeze him now.
  13. All summer long whenever I've run errands, I always taken a grandbaby with me. They take turns and we always have a good time. But because of her very special needs, I haven't included my oldest granddaughter because sometimes she's really unpredictable and in those situations, she responds best to her mother, not me. Well, I asked middleschooler if he wanted to go to and he said, 'No, I'm good'. So then the 8 year old and 5 year started in with, 'It's my turn, it's my turn'. And then out of the mouth of a babe............'Actually Mom, it's Parkers turn'. I tried to tap dance around and
  14. It doesn't change mine, I always thought you should be able to arm yourself on the trail. Are the criminals not going to carry a weapon on the trail? Of course they are, they're criminals. And what better hunting ground than a place you know that people can't have guns, like a college campus or a secluded trail?
  15. Paranoid, much!?? These people are public officials in PC and to make these random accusations is not too smart. They didn't mention anyone by name personally, but could this be considered slander? You can get in trouble for that. RIDICULOUS!
  16. I'm not sure what an accident in south fulton county has to do with the airport, accusations or bank accounts. Did I miss something?
  17. I agree, but if her injuries were severe enough for Lifeflight, she may be unable to give a description. But as soon as any info is available, it needs to be released to the public, either to help apprehend this low life criminal or to warn others away from the danger that is obviously out there. I would never in a million years jog alone on that trail. Never. Never. Never. But the real shame is, is that if I wanted to, I couldn't because I may be attacked or klilled. Criminals like this need to be exterminated.
  18. I think there's a law against that!!
  19. Yea the airport guy is a fool. This is the guy and there are so many other like him, that give normal people who carry a bad name. What a dumba$$.
