  1. That sounds soo like Hubby. We have been through very different things in our lives and we were raised on two different ends of the spectrum. So, to him, a flat tire can be the end of the world and for me it's not even a blip on the radar. In my world, unless someone has cancer or is dead, you always have something to be thankful for and it can always be worse. I wonder sometimes too if it's a gender thing.
  2. I've often wondered what prompts a person to take their own life because there have have been times that I have been so low I didn't think I'd survive. But it never crossed my mind to end it all. I think that the people around you can make the difference, it's so sad to me to think that people believe that they have no one and I guess sometimes they don't, but to not value yourself enough to want to live is unimaginable to me. A very close family member is dealing with serious mental issues right now, but because they have the support of our family and their own, they are working very har
  3. I've never had a blood transfusion, done drugs of any kind and didn't 'live the lifestyle' ( whatever that means) at any time in my life. I'll never trust drug companies or dr.'s who are in bed with the drug companies, to push expensive test's on every person in a certain age group just so they can profit from it.
  4. Then don't take the drugs prescribed to you by a dr, but don't come on here posting videos and studies by one sided people with an agenda and expect intelligent people to buy it.
  5. Who crowned Dr. Blaylock 'renowned', him and his followers? A lot of people may think L. Ron Hubbard is 'renowned' too, but in my opinion, Scientology is a crock. I can tell people all day long that I'm a tall, long legged blond and that will never make it true.
  6. The topics of the OP's threads are very off putting. Agenda's and inflammatory information shouldn't have a place on a community chat board.
  7. I think that I must be missing something, why do they hand you a bottle of DW detergent? 'Come out to my car for a demonstration'? SERIOUSLY?! People are nuts, I swear. NO ONE is coming into my house for ANY reason if I don't know them. But the scary part is, is that one person in 50 WILL let them in and be scammed out of money or outright robbed. What are people thinking? DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS, ESPECIALLY ONES THAT COME TO YOUR FRONT DOOR.
  8. What is the actual reason that baby boomers should have this test, why is anyone assuming that they 'may' have it? It seems to me that by the age of 47 and you had HEP C, that you'd be showing signs before now. Also, anytime a drug company is involved in the 'treatment' of a disease or supplying the 'test' to detect a disease that they want to treat you for, I'm skeptical beyond belief. I don't trust drug companies not to push ANYTHING that will pad their coffers.
  9. I don't think so. A lot of parents will rely on the treatment of the disease after it's contracted as opposed to vaccinating their kids. I just think that BBG's statement was very shortsighted because it's easy to be blase' when it comes to the death of someone elses child 'for the good of all'. That is what dumbestgirlintheworld was talking about yesterday, that deaths are counted, not specific causes of death.
  10. My dr. discourages internet searches because when a lay person attempts to do 'research', there is no telling what 'data' they will come up with. 90% of it could be completely bogus trying to push someone elses agenda. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people who think that they have some horrible disease because they went to WEBmd and diagnosed themselves, when in fact, they have a cold or the chicken pox.
  11. So, if your child was in the 200 that died, you'd be all for it too I guess?
  12. OMG.....THANK YOU .........I now have cherry koolaid all in my BRAND NEW keyboard!!!!!
  13. I think some people are a$$e$ internet or not. Even if I'm upset at any given situation, I'm still not hateful to the person trying to help me. Feel better tomorrow!!!
  14. I've had two and it was horrible both times. Both were after my sister passed away in 2007, one in the car and one in Kroger. The feelings seem to come on so suddenly, from out of nowhere. Hubby had to come and get me from Kroger and that was the longest 15 minutes of my life. I literally thought that I was going to die right on the sidewalk while I waited for him. I'm sure passersby thought I was a nut, but not being able to control what is happening is all the more scary. Haven't had once since, knock wood. I feel for anyone who has a history with this.
  15. So, I'm not the only one who think she looks like Jaba? That's a scary bunch of people.
  16. I read well enough to read what you wrote in you post. There was no speculation in the last line and I have cut and pasted so you can see what I was referring to, what I highlighted in your post, 'It's coming... don't know when... but it's coming', that is exactly what you wrote. How is that speculating? Just the gold ones.
  17. 'I swear we're not as ignorant as we look'.
  18. Good Heavens, I thought that the first line said, 'I'm fired', not tired. I'm glad now that you're just tired.
  19. You are way too sensible to respond on Pcom. And you're exactly right, wild climate fluctuations have been going on for the millions of years this planet has been around. And one volcanic eruption can do more damage to the ozone than every person on the planet driving a car for a year or more. I guess that we are somehow responsible for that too? People seem to think that 100 years is a long time, it's not. It's a teensy, tiny blip on the radar when you realize how long this planet has been around. I guess between volcanos and hair spray, we're doomed.
  20. You're kidding right? Fear mongering at it's best. 'OOOOHHHHHH, the boogie man is coming, must be armed'. And the reason gun and ammo sales are through the roof right now is because of idiots like the one who shot up the theater in Denver. It must be a sad existence to live your life thinking that every moment someone, especially 'Big Brother' , is out to get you.
  21. I think that this tripe goes further than the tabloids. Crap like this has spewed out of any mouth whose owner hates Obama since before he was elected. 'He's gonna ban ammo', 'Gas is going to be $10.00 a gallon and it's HIS fault', blah, blah, blah. And when these things don't come to pass like the fear mongers predicted, they have to make up more stories to scare people who don't have the brains to think for themselves.
  22. I am SOOO happy that you have praised Paulding Hospital both times you have used them recently. I think they get a bad rap one too many times, when in fact, they normally do a great job. It's good to see that people will give kudos as opposed to just complaining when something goes wrong.
  23. Well, you do have a point there. I guess some are just more blatant than others.
  24. That could get a gal into trouble!!!!!! (Which could work too)!!
