I knew a lady a while ago that got an $1800.00 settlement from Walmart because her 3 year old daughter mashed her fingers when the bathroom door closed on them. My questions were these: Why was your 3 year old daughter in charge of the BR door on her own? Where were you when this occurred and why weren't you holding the door? Why was she allowed to stand with her fingers in the door? And so on. It made me ill that she got anything because the mom should have been responsible for door, not her 3 year old kid. In addition, there were no permanent injuries, they iced it and it was fine.

PRAYER ~ Haralson County Football Game
dawneykids replied to Haleymom's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I ran across this on Comcast this morning. Why on earth is a Wisconsin based 'foundation' threatening to sue a school in Tallapoosa if they pray before a game, how the he!! is it any of their business? Stay the frick in Wisconsin and don't pray at your own football games. Now having said that, I don't prefer public prayer in an organized setting, but I'm not going to knock tradition and act like a jacka$$ about it. Why can't people just go with the flow and not be offended about EVERY STUPID thing on the planet? I don't like 6 inch heels, but I'm not trying to ban them from every other w -
OOOOHHHHHH, he was that guy actin' a fool in Kroger on the scooter. Now we know!!

Well, I had my first jaunt on a scooter today at Wally World. The were all being used and I was certainly the youngest one at the scooter party. It was very weird to say the least and with Hubby behind me with the cart saying, 'BEEP, BEEP', probably didn't help! The first of many trips with wheels under my behind I'm sure.

Sounds good!

I'll let you know if I need anything and thank you! I'm certain that my biggest issue with this whole thing (besides the pain) is that I'm the 'nurturer' and am always the one offering to help, 'what can I get you', 'here, let me do that', 'no problem, I've got it', and so on. But now, I'm the one that needs the help and it's a very foreign concept to me. Will do and I'm still excited about going, I'll just be on wheels.

Thank you, I'll let you know!

That I can do and it doesn't look too bulky.

I want to be able to remember my trip! And honestly, my MIL's abuse of everything narcotic and pain pill related, has soured me from taking anything. It's dumb I know, but OOHH the things I've seen. I think I see one of those in my future! I agree, I think I'm done!

Heck, my 27 year old does laundry 'wrong'. She washes EVERYTHING together, towels with t-shirts, jeans with whites.......makes me crazy! I guess now would be the time to teach 5th grader to do it right!!!

There is one phrase I have heard over and over when referring to serial killers, 'But, he was SO charming'. Charming men nauseate me and I told my girls to RUN AWAY from someone they thought was 'charming'. CHARMING=EVIL in my world. He isn't even cute and he certainly wasn't rich, what drew these poor victims?

That man is evil incarnate. Has he never heard of divorce, only murder? Those poor women.

Isn't it though?!?!?!

Good for you! Is just sucks when you plan and plan and something ridiculous happens. LAUNDRY?!? How about a heated tennis match or rescuing a puppy from a fire? BUUUUUT NOOOOOOO........dirty socks felled me.

I guess now I can go in front of everybody at all the attractions. I think it's just stuck in my craw that I'm used to using my own 2 legs and don't like feeling 'infirm'. But, even on a scooter, I'll be on vacation, so maybe there's no real problem at all!

I've never had knee problems, but Saturday while doing the glam chore of laundry, I stood up as usual and my knee popped and the pain was horrible. Just got back from the dr., severely torn cartilage, Cortisone shot, on crutches with orders to stay off of it. Appt. next week for MRI and brace. And the kicker is, I have 1 cankle, OMG! We are going to Washing DC on the 20th for 9 days, with a tour of the White House (it took 3 months to get those passes}, a private guided tour of the Capital and so on. The dr. wanted me to cancel, but when I told it's all paid for and non`refundable, he

There's nothing electronic about the ones in New Hope.

I'm thankful that Hubbys employer has more compassion and common sense than the GCSB. He has given away 9 days of his vacation and sick days in the past 2 years to either dying people so they could still get pay even after their sick time ran out or to family members so that they could be with their dying wife/husband/child, etc. And his coworkers do the same thing. As long as the shift is covered and the work is getting done, where's the problem? I also didn't see where anyone asked for a policy change, just some time off with his dying wife..........WOW....... what a jacka$$ he must be
-
Every person wasn't asking for it, one man with a dying wife. There are exceptions to every rule. Hopefully, you'll never be in that boat. You're kidding, right?

Apparently in my world, 2+2 does not equal 4 because I just now realized what the sighs meant that said 'sigh kiosk coming soon'. I thought it was weird that some guy was going to try to sell signs at a busy intersection. DUH!
