  1. I hope that the stories in the class have an impact on these young ones. Good luck to your son and BRAVO to you for not complaining that he was treated harshly and screaming 'he's just a kid'. Very refreshing I must say!
  2. We just gave Mugs her last dose of Benedryl and she seems to have no clue that she's been hopped up on it all day. Shes played, eaten, almost knocked me down in the kitchen while running out the doggie door...........just normal everyday stuff!
  3. They look trashy and what on earth was the cost and whos stupid idea was it? BAD idea all around.
  4. I agree and we were in and out in about 20 minutes.
  5. This is the way I look at it, this is MY HOUSE and unless I've INVITED you to it, stay off my property. And don't show up with the twisted idea that you are going to convert me, it's not happening.
  6. The Gwinnett County School Board must be so proud of themselves for being such a$$es. RIP and prayers for this family.
  7. Hubby got up this morning and played with the dogs as usual, then they went outside for 10 minutes or so and when they came back in, Mugsie, was acting really weird. She was suddenly covered in HUGE welts, her eyes were swelling closed, she was whining and rubbing all over the carpet and running around wildly. We quickly gave her a Benedryl, took the kids to school at 7:30 and went straight to the vet. We were there at 7:40 with NO appointment and they took her right back. Dr. Leathers thinks she may have been stung by a yellow jacket or some such thing, she got a shot of Benedryl and ste
  8. Aside from everything that is wrong with this situation, the part that makes me past furious, is the fact that they aren't to blame for any of it. Wamby woo, it's not her fault, blah, blah, blah. Excuses make me sick. I love my children and would walk through fire for them, but I'm the last person to make excuses for them. It hasn't and won't ever happen. I'll stand by them, but if they did it, they did it and they have to own it and pay whatever consequences there are. Luckily, neither of my girls have ever been in trouble with the law, did drugs, ran away, etc. I honestly think that they we
  9. Not the ones that come to my house, they proceeded to tell me everything that was wrong with Catholics and that they worshiped Mary and ultimately they weren't Christian and would burn for it.
  10. I'm glad it went well, but I can't imagine how stressful it must have been. Why would this idiot father think your husband would be buddy, buddy with a violent criminal? DUMBA$$! Your Hubby seemed to handle himself with class and dignity, he certainly did you and himself proud. I'm sure that little Alyssa is being well cared for, so for the time being, rest up and try not to worry, because you're going to have your hands full with TWO sweet little babies soon enough! I'm totally serious with this question, are they illiterate or somehow mentally deficient?
  11. OMG!!! They did the same thing to me. PI$$ED me off to no end. Finally, I said,'UUUMMMMMM, naw, not so much' and closed the door. How many people do they actual convert with these tactics? Are they hoping to find someone so down in the dumps, depressed and unhappy that they will let them in and then follow them all they way to the church? Don't come to MY house preaching to ME about ANYTHING. The NERVE!
  12. It's called Jumpits and it's great. I have always preferred it over ANY other jumpy place.
  13. About a 100 years ago when I was in grade school, they always gave out a free ticket to each child for the fair.
  14. I am weepy and nauseous just reading this post, so I can't even imagine what ya'll are going through. Please know that we are here for support, prayers and good wishes. Whatever happens, good news, bad news, if you just need a place to vent, don't hesitate. Know that you are trying to do the right thing and at some point it's out of your hands. I can only hope that this judge is tough in the right direction and he can see what a good thing you are trying to do. It's hard to even think about.
  15. I like that idea and it makes more sense than reconfiguring every single exit ramp.
  16. WTH does that even mean?!?! Some people are so stupid!!!! We punish our kids and reward them as well. Punishment is a part of life that helps you become a decent human being, geeez, what kind of adult is this kid going to be? Kinda scary to think about.
  17. Definitely better off. House value is down from what it once was, but it is still worth much more than we paid for it in 1997. Healthcare premiums went down, coverage went up. Hubbys job isn't going anywhere and he has gotten substantial pay increases every year. I'm not sure how or what his retirement accounts are invested in, but they haven't lost a penny. Believe it or not people, the President doesn't control everything good or bad. It's easy to want to blame somebody for our own misfortune and he seems to be the easiest target.
  18. There is a drop box at Walmart in Dallas in the optical center to deposit used glasses. Vision Works at Town Center also takes them, that's where we drop ours.
  19. That's just scary to me. This may not be a popular opinion, however, if I don't want my child going to the public school in their district, it's MY responsibility and mine alone to make sure they go to a private school. Not the states and not other tax payers. Will the idiocy of the people spending our tax dollars EVER end?
  20. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
