    Insulin Pump

I guess I am afraid of change. And of course the initial cost of a pump. It is going to be over $2500 for pump & 3 months supply. From what the rep told me it will be about $140 for supplies per month. Does the pump interfer with anything that you do? I mean as far as it being attached to your pant and then of course where it is attached to you? I do have more questions but am very tired (not feeling well) need to go and take a nap. I appreciate all who have responded. Thank you.

    Insulin Pump

Does anyone on here use a insulin pump? May be getting one soon and wanted to get feedback from someone using one. May also get a glucose monitor to wear with the pump. Any info would be welcomed. Have been a T1 Diabetic almost 28 yrs.
  12. Those pictures wonderful to look at. Thanks for posting.
  13. I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. I will say a prayer for her and her family as well a cure to be found for this horrible disease. I almost cried watching the video that is posted here.
  14. I also thought a better lesson would have been for them to clean it up but the admn thought differently.
  15. My son was part of a senior prank at PCHS a couple of years ago (throwing toilet paper around the outside of the school) and each one of the kids (parents) had to pay over $200 for clean up if we didn't pay they couldn't graduate. The admin over there has little tolerance for any kind of fun.
  16. I am so sorry to read of your loss. Prayers sent for you and your family.

    Thyroid

I've had Hashimoto's Thyroiditis for about 17 years and take 175 mcg. I used to take Synthroid but now take Levothyoxine. Have had no side effects.
  18. I've been here for almost six years. I have on several occcasions been called out for being a Yankee. One was with the guy who sells vegetables over there at Buddy's. I couldn't believe what I was hearing from him, I really was taken aback. He actually asked me to come on back after we were done talking and I have never gone back. I have lived in four other southern states and have never experienced the dislike for Yankees as I have here.
  19. Please let your husband know how proud we are of him. I will keep your family in my prayers. My nephew is going to Afghanistan in March.
  20. I was upset when I found out that she had died. I wish there was more I could do other than donating money. These people are literally experiencing h*ll.
