  1. You know? I am not close to my sister so this really doesn't bother me as much as you would think.
  2. You guys can tell I've been on vacation and am just catching up, can't ya?!!
  3. You know? I would watch my back there for awhile. God forbid anything were to seriously happen to you for real....all of us would be pointing our fingers at Stonewall. I'd be first in line. Damn! Dang! You must have tried this! How was it? Do tell!
  4. Ummm....homosexuality is not a twentieth century invention. The Romans were doing it too. Oh, wait! I have one.....Adam and Eve were the only two people on the earth. Then they had two boys, Cain and Able. Where did Cain's and Ables' kids come from???? Did they hatch from an egg? No, they came from Eve - the only other female on the Earth......unless, of course, the BIBLE left something out.
  5. That is a contradiction. You cannot have opinions without prejudice. You're either for or against. No gray. If you're entirely for male/female marriage, then you are prejudiced against any other type of marriage. Please understand that marriage is a LEGAL entity. That's why people can get married in a church OR a courthouse and it's still legal. Even when you get married in a church, you have to sign legal papers. Marriage is not a religious thing.
  6. IF THERE IS A GOD, then I would hope that he would be an all-forgiving one. That's the way I was raised. I was not raised that God was vengeful, hateful, and murderous. I was raised to believe that God was a loving God, a forgiving God, an accepting God. Why would people CHOOSE to be so different? To live a life full of heartache and trials. It's a hard life going your own way. Again, I love my children for who they are and who they hope to be. Their sexuality is none of my business. My sex life is none of their business and certainly none of yours. One day, one of you
  7. I hope you don't either. I know. That was mean. But you're an idiot. You are a close-minded, paranoid, religious zealot who has no idea how the real world is. You only know what the Bible and the preacher tells you to believe. The people performing sexual acts on animals are not gay - they are perverted. I think you should put your Bible down for a bit and invest in a freakin' dictionary!
  8. I did say it was a bit pricey. But unless you want to eat pizza or hamburgers, you won't find anywhere less pricey. Applebees, TGI Friday's, RT, all use the same food. At least you're getting fresh food at Taki. Please note that I am not going to be eating there very frequently, mainly because we just don't eat out a lot. But, it is nice to know that we can eat somewhere that serves fresh food. And there wasn't any cabbage in my meal. I had the Hibachi salmon ($18.95) which included some vegetables (broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, onions), lots of fried rice, and 4 pieces of sal
  9. We went to dinner with our daughter and son-in-law at Taki Steakhouse this past weekend. Everyone talked about RT being really bad and prepackaged --- go to Taki. It's cooked right in front of you. You see the fresh food splayed out in front of you and cooked! It's a wonderful experience, and you're in and out in no time! A little pricey - but what isn't??? This is really good food. And you don't HAVE to have SUSHI! Yuk!
  10. The Jenkins' house blew up back in the late seventies. Luckily no one was home. They said it was a gas leak. So, all that happened with this guy who averted a tragedy did NOT happen at my old house. My old house is located right next door to the McKenna Farm and sits back off the road.
  11. I haven't been out that way in YEARS! I only know of two single mobile homes on their own property sitting next to McKenna Farms. Across the street kinda was another house that (in the 70s) you couldn't see from the road. So, if you were at the McKenna House in 1978, you could walk left out of that driveway, go past my house, then the Brooks' house, then one more mobile home that blew up in the middle of the night (the Jenkins' live there for then), and then the bridge. Up the hill on the left was a mobile home park that the Chastains lived in. I don't remember the name of it.
  12. You say that like it was a bad thing! LOL!!!
  13. Is it right next door to McKenna Farms (old Vollenweider house)? Sits all alone on about 3 acres of property? May/may not have a mobile home next door on it's own property on the other side of it? THAT'S MY OLD HOUSE!! I lived there in the late 70's in high school.
  14. They're actually tearing down the school? Why wasn't it more publicized? There are alot of kids who went to Hiram who might want a piece of it.
  15. Oh! Tell me they didn't go there!! You? Dishonest? I've known you nearly all my life! Who is this troll??? PM me. I'll take care of it for ya! Bwahhhahhaa! Seriously...what topic are ya talking about cause I don't have time to look for it. At work right now... he he! And how do you know there's a troll? Aren't they people who didn't sign on and are just lurking? What>?? Please tell me!! I want to know!
  16. If, by wildlife, you mean all animals not domesticated, that answer would be no. DNR does not come out on wildlife calls. That's what Animal Control is for. They are trained professionals. My daughter works for Cobb Animal control. She has hauled in more than one possum, raccoon, fox, bunny, and deer. And of these, only the deer were already dead. Possums are so cute when they're babies!
  17. Please know that I am very happy this little girl and all those that follow her will have hope to get better. But we all must remember that the lung she is receiving didn't come off the tree in the back yard. Someone had to die to donate that lung. We must remember the donor family as well. They are most likely heart-broken, but happy they are helping someone so young.
  18. I have to add that I think it's pretty cowardly to step in to this website, make a hateful comment like he did, then not come in and back up his thoughts. He evidently just wanted to start a fight. Well, Mr. Butler, you got one.
  19. Since the mods haven't stepped in yet, I am moving forward with my comment. You are an ass. An ignorant ass. I am so deeply offended by your statement. We have a gay son. He is the most loving, bright, giving, hard working, family oriented person I've ever met. He has many friends (gay and not), and a supportive family. The family who are not supportive do not see us anymore. Plain and simple. Why? Because I love my son. Period. As I told one of my dear friends many years ago, I hope one of your children comes home and tells you he/she is gay and introduces you to his/her
  20. How does the Fibro affect all of you? Mine is primarily in my feet, neck, shoulders, and back to about half way down. I don't believe those stupid "gotta hit 11 out of 18 pressure points" people. Sometimes I can do that, most of the time I can't. I'm just tired. And I hurt. I also have chronic migraine. Ugh.
  21. Hey everyone!!! Ya'll stop by and get some great food! At the same time, you'll be supporting a wonderful organization that needs the funding. (I know this, because I work at the National office in ATL). Keavy Dixon is great and the kids could use the funds for sooo much!! Support your local Boys & Girls Club!!! It's totally worth it!!
  22. Absolutely no news on this. No one was listening to the scanner. I don't have the scanner. My son told me about it and we live across the street from Hickory Leaf but wayyyy back in the woods. With the wind howling like it was last night, we didn't hear a thing.
  23. A VERY bad accident has just occurred in the last 20 minutes down Hickory Leaf (formerly Phillips Lee Rd) just off Hiram Sudie Road. The accident is just down Hickory Leaf at the curve. Ambulance, Fire, all kinds of lights. My son said it seemed pretty bad. Anyone heard anything??
  24. So, we still don't know for a fact where these offices are? or were? Where are all of our couch detectives?
