  1. I shouldn't have read this topic. I'm two shows behind. I have them recorded, but hubby doesn't watch them. So I have to watch it when he's not around....and lately he's been around alot!
  2. It amazes me that all of ya'll have her money spent for her! Ya'll crack me up!
  3. Story found in AJC.com this morning. I didn't see it on Pcom anywhere. This is so great! Paulding Woman wins lottery
  4. I'm glad you clarified that non-working door thing in the title. I was wondering if it just only swung one way or sumpin.....
  5. Put his face on here with the details so we can all put it on our FB pages. The more the better. Thinking on the bright side......You'll find him, hug him till he nearly pops, then kill him for putting you through this. (((HUGS)))
  6. I check the funeral page about twice per week. I see there are three "kids" in their 20's and a 34 yr old young woman all who lost their lives this week. Just thinking it's strange to lose so many young folks in such a short amount of time...... It's really sad....
  7. There will always be people on the sidelines taking things a bit far. But they are not actually having sex or anything. No more than heterosexuals kissing on the sidewalks of midtown. The parade can get a bit kinky but it's all innuendo - not actual. Mostly the parade has supportive churches, businesses, police, etc and private businesses that support gays. They all have floats or whatever.
  8. I've had to re-read this several times so I think I understand what you're saying. You are stupid. Being gay is not immoral. It is a sexual predetermination. People are born this way just like you were born whatever the heck you are - male, female, black, white, whatever. Yes, I think sexual preferences should not be discussed because I don't run around introducing myself as Mrs. Smith, heterosexual. I don't expect my child to introduce himself as Mr. Smith, Gay guy. I don't discuss what goes on in my private home (ie bedroom) and I don't expect my son to discuss his private life (ie be
  9. You know? Karma is a funny thing. I hope that one day the people who are all being negative and hateful towards the Gay population will one day be met with a family member or close friend who comes out of the closet. I have a friend of the family who has always spoken against gays, blacks, hispanics, etc. She mentioned that one of her boys felt uneasy but really wanted to play basketball in HS and ended up being the only white guy on the team. She was floored by that. Anyway, both of her boys are in college right now and neither have ever had a girlfriend. They both say that g
  10. Ever BEEN to the Pride Parade? Yes, you will see some really freaky stuff. But overall, it is about pride. It's a celebration of everything they've gone through, the acceptance, the family. Open your eyes. Now, the Mardi Gras is SUPPOSED to be a religious celebration, but it's far from it. Not sure where showing off your bare breasts is religious, but I digress... The spring break thing is all about drinking and sex. There is no other reason to attend. The kids are there for those two things. And sometimes you can run into twenty-somethings, I'm sure. I've never attended
  11. Agreed. The Pride parade is about pride in who they are - not because they have sex with same sex partners. I am proud of my son. I am proud that he has come a long way and worked hard to get where he is. He and his partner have been together 6 years. Oh, and let me say this - I have only seen them hold hands (ever so briefly) one time. It's not because they are not comfortable or they are not accepted around us. It's because we as a hetero couple don't hang on each other either. I don't approve of people kissing and groping in public. A peck here and there is fine. But there is a ti
  12. Nah! I'm just picking on you! I have to admit that the parade is a bit strange sometimes. Very OUT there, pardon the pun. But it's alot of fun with my kiddo and his friends.
  13. Hey now! We like going to the rainbow parade every year! We support our son who goes. He's not IN it, but he goes with lots of his friends. All his friends call us mom and dad because their parents aren't as supportive as we are.
  14. Oh, wait. So if a person is paid to work with kids, he/she is more likely to be a pervert???? I work for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Every single one of us is paid and, while there are the occasional weirdos, on the whole we are a wonderful organization that helps cement a child's upbringing with that of home. Being paid is not a prerequisite for being a pervert.
  15. In this case, then, your reasoning goes for both Boy Scouts AND Girls Scouts. Most girl scout leaders are women. Most boy scout leaders are men. Why are we not afraid that these leaders will take advantage of our children just because they are the same sex as our children? Because it doesn't happen AS A RULE. And if Mr. Smith is a leader of his boy scout troop for 20- years and NEVER says anything to anyone about his sexuality and lives under the radar as most try to do, then we would never know we had a gay leader. Oh! The Humanity! Call the press! Get the preacher! Yes. I w
  16. I take it from your smiley that you are being sarcastic?
  17. I'm sorry to hear about your son. My heart hurts for you. If there's anything I can do, send me a pm. I know we don't know each other at all, but I have 4 children and I would be just crazy by now if one of them was missing. On a lighter note? I'm glad someone quoted your personal stuff back in. I was SOOO confused by the video and then the subsequent posts. Couldn't figure out what everyone was talking about! Take care. And stay positive.
  18. I am on the Hiram High School website now and they do not list a teacher who teaches Bible Study or anything Bible at all. Unless RIV is code for Bible study - Religious something? I don't know. My kids are all in their late 20's now so they've been out of school a long time. But this still gets my goat. Basically, though, it's mandatory for the school to offer it but NOT mandatory that a child take the course. THAT I can live with. I saw Mr. Richardson at Kroger a few weeks ago. I just want to walk up to him and ask him how he can live with himself. You know? I have found that it's
  19. Ummm...I missed that. Glenn Richardson got a MANDATORY bible class passed????? And they actually do this in public schools/???? Back up! There is supposed to be a separation of church and state. Public schools are funded by the states. Therefore, churches need to stay the heck out. And I would NOT appreciate my kids being forced to take a bible class. Are they teaching ALL religions or just the Christian bible? OMG! I feel a rant coming on!
  20. I was just skimming through this topic and noticed your avatar. Ouch. That hurts to look at! Just sayin'.... Gonna have nightmares!!
  21. I think you ran into the first problem with the failure to use correct grammar and punctuation. This is vital if you're going to appeal to the general public. Nothing says "I don't care about my topic" or "I am not educated" more than incorrect grammar and punctuation. I don't agree with what I think you are trying to say. I am having a difficult time even reading it due to the errors. Personally, I am a grammar nazi. I find it difficult to comprehend or follow something that is as error-filled as your statement above. Therefore, it is my opinion that you close this topic and start over.
  22. I happen to know who you are. And I think it's both. They are flirting and you are being polite, cause you haven't changed a freakin' bit since high school!!
