Unless the house has some historical significance where you are "stuck" with wood windows... do yourself a favor and get replacement windows with insulated glass and energy efficient sashes. First, wherever you see rot is the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Second, the cost of the labor and materials to repair a rotted sash/frame/sill is going to approach the cost of replacement windows, and you are still going to have leaky, inefficient windows. Be warned that the "chain" replacement window companies are extremely high pressure on the sales end. What is actually a stock size w

Suppose the husband of the victim was having an affair with a married woman. The other husband, rather than going mano-a-mano, takes his frustration out on the victim. The viciousness and severity of the beating makes me think there is more to the story than a robbery or rape gone wrong. This was about inflicting pain and punishment. The perp knew her, somehow, someway. Or it was a "hit job" in the classic sense of the term.

Ya know? This is at least the third time you have made some snide comment about me being impaired because of lead poisoning. I think you have pushed the envelope far enough. Once, it might have been funny. Three times is nothing but stalking. Or hatred? For everybody's education, back nearly 12 years ago, my serum lead levels did get elevated as a result of my occupation. I went through a chelation therapy for about 3 months and revised my work habits. Last month my blood lead levels were ~11mmg/dl. Anything >20 is to be of concern And given that my IQ is in the mid 1

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ I think you nailed it. Liberalism IS a mental disease, you know.

Could you kindly explain in 25 words or less what the hell that means?

Yep. Dobbins Air Base at the behest of B. Hussein Obama. Never let a "crisis" go to waste, eh? I wonder why they didn't fly this guy into DC and take him to Walter Reed? When the guy gets ebola even while he is wearing a hazmat suit, that's a pretty good indication that it's pretty likely to be uncontainable. So why not take him to DC where the virus could likely do some good inside the Beltway when it multiplies? But, no, Obozo decides to infect Atlanta. /sarcasm

How do you feel about the recent incident on the trail
glassdogs replied to 1novella's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It's on WSB-TV's website. I agree, this wasn't just some random attack. This has RAGE written all over it. -
Yeah. Because EVERY franchise has to comply with the FTA guidelines in what they disclose. It really makes no difference if it is CFA or RotoRooter or McDonalds or DairyQueen or whoever. Each company has their own guidelines as to who they believe will be successful franchisees, and why shouldn't they follow them? Besides, I don't even like to eat chicken.

Obviously your reading skills are limited. Please point out to all of us exactly where in either of my two previous posts in this topic where I mentioned what the brand-name of the franchise was that I held, or where I inferred that I was talking about CFA? In your eagerness to stalk everything I post, apparently your childish ignorance got the best of you. Again.

Another point that was conveniently ignored in the original post/article. In order to offer a franchise, it must be approved by the FTA and each of the several states in which the company may operate.. My particular franchise sent me a disclosure document which I had to read, sign, and return before they would even begin the vetting process. The disclosure specifically told me that they reserved the right to not offer a franchise for any reason that they might have, just as I had the right to refuse to accept the award of the franchise after I went through the vetting (and the vetting

As a former owner of a franchise, I can tell you that extensive interviews by the franchisor and in-depth analysis of the prospective franchisee's background and finances aren't uncommon. Interviewing spouses and young adult children are all about succession of ownership if the need should occur. I went through it. My franchisor had a code of conduct and all of us were expected to live up to it. In the 6 years I was a franchisee, I know of several locations elsewhere in the brand that were not renewed at the end of the term, and I know of two that were terminated by the company for se

Ah, but EVERY hit counts, don'tcha know? All about statistics and Google standings and (alleged) ad revenues.

Last night about 10:30 I noticed what I thought was a stray dog in my front yard. I went out on the porch to shoo it off, and it was a PIG. Snorted at me and was borderline aggressive. This animal was about the size of a large pitbull, I went back in the house after my CO2 pellet gun, but SWMBO wouldn't let me 'choot it.

We need our gutters cleaned. Recommendations?

Really??? I thought the Interstate system was enacted during Dwight Eisenhower's administration? That certainly wasn't 75 years ago.
-
Yep. And the cynic in me says there will be a miraculous recovery about 6 months after the trial is over.

When animals actually vote and pay taxes, maybe they can have "rights". In the meantime, until all the Libs outlaw or re-write the Bible, Genesis 1:26 says Man has dominion over animals. -
Here's a question for you experts: I have an 05 GMC 2500 van. Has both a oil warning light and a gauge on the dash. On start-up, the warning light will come on and stay on for almost a half-mile of driving, but the gauge shows at least 40psi. What would you trust? the light, or the gauge?

I've known her almost as long as I've known him. Her political views, while dead wrong, are based on her honest views that the unfortunate, handicapped, and ill among us deserve help. Know what? I agree with her. The difference is what the source of the help is. I believe in charity and churches and individuals helping their neighbor. Not the Imperial Federal Government requiring me, at the point of a gun, to involuntarily provide care and comfort to damn criminals who are invading our borders. And, just FYI, I doubt there is a single hypocritical cell in Sheila's body. She does

I didn't know being a Methodist was a deal-killer?

Because I caught a flaming liberal in a blatant hypocritical lie, I'm "angry"?

Did you get dizzy spinning all that? You can edit your post all you want....but several people quoted your original post, and what you said is captured for all to see. Another "do as I say, not as I do" Liberal exposed for the hypocrite he is. I'd guess your academic and military record doesn't involve a diploma from one of the leading Universities in the country and pilot's wings from the USAF, now does it?
